Maybe you are new to nairaland

But all the igbos states (imo, abia, anambra, enugu and ebonyi) have their thread with lot less than 400pages...am sure you can't beat that.

Anambra was heading to page 1000 before the boycotted naira land because of seun's bias policies...

Anambra has thread on all its major cities with pictures...

The only notable one for the west is Ibadan, still struggling for 50pages...hahaha

As for the other thread about Yoruba being the poorest and laziest, you can choke on it, we dash you, even though we have our on thread on it too...

Igbos make nairaland thick, you can take that to the bank.
lol..Ojukus and delusions.Your 400 pages of village square meetings and counter offensive where you downgrade one another. You should cover your face with shame for measuring your one room apartment(Igboland) with a big mansion(Yorubaland) with a lot of space.Yoruba's are richer than Igbos because they control the economy of Nigeria, they built more buildings both new and old than Igbos, they have more landed properties than Igbos, they have more private universities than Igbos, they have more massive businesses and companies home and abroad .ore than Igbos, the list is endless and they have more calibre and timbre people more than Igbos and the funny thing is just one state in the SW is equal to all the states of the Igbos which are not bigger than OYO STATE in the SW ..lol

Aba'smain challenge is bad road, recreational parks and beautification..but on individual building and standard of living of its people, they beat any afonja city hands down
lol...ojuku...How dare you compare a piggy bank
(Igboland) with central bank(Yorubaland).The
size of your small enclave (Igboland)is almost the
size of OYO state, just a part in Yorubaland and
45 million of Igbos have not been able to develop
this small enclave into eldorado. In spite of your
rituals, drugs peddling, baby factory etc and with
your late civilization, you still have brown roofs in
your small enclave. The singular evidence that
Yorubas are richer than the Igbos, are their
numerous massive industries, highest number of
private universities,private colleges,real estate
people,ICT people etc.Do not be delusional and
compare a small enclave filled with 3000
houses with a large area where1000000000 houses
are scattered all over.Do not be like Ojuku..
Igboland is a small room but still has brown roofs
and slums ..pathetic,is the word.

When I say Afonjas don't have sense, people think I'm exagerating. How can these people waste money building highway through a slums/ghettos? Look at the giant highway they built through these mud houses, of what gain? I know in their tiny, peanut brain, they think they know what they are doing.

Hornyofife, you finished afonjas for life with evidence...case closed. Igboland is so gorgeous.

Useless Afonjas should go and die...wicked, hateful things!
Why are you so pained? Is it because Igboland is backward and you know that you have been deceiving only your self..with your different monickers and any other gullible and indiscernible being on this thread...by taking pictures of just an area from different angles multiple times and going to another manageable area and taking its pictures severally from different angles. The truth is that all Igboland is like a piggy bank which is filled with 3000 naira compared to Yorubaland which is likened to a central bank that is being filled with 1000000000 naira and still asking for more.Only Igbos like you would think that the piggy bank because it is almost filled with naira can be compared with a central bank.Only a couple of buildings in the SW are more expensive than the toy houses you have been posting from different angles.Only the modern houses in Ibadan swallow all the houses in your piggy bank.I have not touched Industries etc o.

lol..you are very funny..you are just giving it to him gently on the jaw without breaking the jaw.You are like that Yoruba guy..Anthony Joshua..THE WORLD CHAMPION...lol.
Everybody knows that Igbos do not have native wears because they woke up late and they were found naked by the whites as late as 1921.Even in 1947,

were still walking naked to Ogbete market but nonthe less fashion is dynamic and agbada is synonymous only to the Yorubas and only one other people call it agbada...Ebuka wore a variety of agbada known as Ebukada or Ebugbada...lol

Ekealterego:
The generic word itself is called, "Kaftan", which is an Arabic word. Showing that it was associated with middle eastern culture However, with variations. In west Africa, including Nigeria the fashion was first made popular in Senegal/Mali which was probably introduced through the trans Saharan trade. The Kaftan was for decades or even centuries first popular in Northern Nigeria before reaching down south to the Yorubas
Mind you you can argue that their are slight differences but that's the beauty of the Kaftan, different cultures have made modifications to it.
lol..where did you get this from?

Agbada
Encyclopedia of Clothing and Fashion
COPYRIGHT 2005 The Gale Group, Inc.
AGBADA
Agbada is a four-piece male attire found
among the Yoruba of southwestern
Nigeria and the Republic of Benin, West
Africa. It consists of a large, free-flowing
outer robe (awosoke ), an undervest
(awotele), a pair of long trousers (sokoto ),
and a hat (fìla ). The outer robe—from
which the entire outfit derives the name
agbada, meaning "voluminous attire"—is a
big, loose-fitting, ankle-length garment. It
has three sections: a rectangular
centerpiece, flanked by wide sleeves.

You really have mentality of an African. In a civilized environ such as Owerri, there is everything for any cadre of people. Not every Joe can afford to take a room in Concorde or the same level grade. If Osogbo has the hotels listed in some of the posts, I must say that Osogbo has really come of age. When the last time I visited Osogbo, like Ota in Ogun State, it was a village.
SOUTH EAST IGBOLAND IS VERY BACKWARD.A SMALL ROOM WHICH 145 million ojukus have been unable to develop but you will always disgrace yourselves by foaming in the mouths and compare your shitholes(small rooms with no amenities)with national stadium(SW-Yorubaland)..your heads are definitely flat squeezing life out of your smelly nsala brains.

Port Novo Dahomey also have seaports like Lagos. Why is Cotonou not like Lagos?

Forget it, Lagos is what it is today because of federal government investment. Why is it that no other Yoruba city is like Lagos?
Reason is Yorubas always use their brains positively. They developed Lagos to attract other people so the spill over of the development will trickle to the other states in the SW...Yorubas have the largest Industries in number in Nigeria especially Lagos which indigenes are a sub group of Yoruba from Ile Ife ...The Aworis.
In Lagos...Yoruba's control the government..power
Yorubas control the economy.
Entertainment, politics, culture,ICT etc. almost everything except petty trading that is controlled by the Igbo's and which can easily be filled up within years of Igbos' exodus but can Igbos live without Lagos?lol
Tell me how Igbos control Lagos

The truth is that the Yoruba run Lagos but originally Lagos belongs to the people of Benin and brothers Awori. one eminent Lagosian said, all the major areas in Lagos Island came from Benin Language. Years ago, dead Lagos kings were taken to Benin for Burial. Some people own Lagos!
lol..meaning..
Aworis who are Yorubas from Ife should not
claim their ancestral land anymore even after the
whites were unable to carry it to their native land
after the possession.
Yorubas own all Yorubaland with their kith and
kin no matter where they come from.Any attack
on Ibadan,Osun,Ondo,Ekiti,Ogun,Lagos and even
Kwara with 90% Yorubas and Okun is an attack
on the Yoruba race..ask Ojuku.
No matter how much you shout and cry on the
internet... Yoruba will continue to own Lagos as
it was from inception before all the intruders
came along.
This is why the economy and all other important
indices for the growth of a state is in the hands
of the Yorubas,Yorubas control the destiny of
Lagos...no matter where they came

"....This is why I don't blame Lagos state government officials trying through legislation to preserve the Yoruba character of Lagos by compelling Yoruba teaching in schools and also holding legislative deliberations in Yoruba..."

OP will you also not blame the FCT minister if Gwari is made compulsory in Abuja?

Lagos has always been distinct from the rest of the Yoruba cities...

...Lagos Colony was a British colonial possession centred on the port of Lagos in what is now southern Nigeria. Lagos was annexed on 6 August 1861 under the threat of force by Commander Beddingfield of HMS Prometheus who was accompanied by the Acting British Consul, William McCoskry. Oba Dosunmu of Lagos (spelled "Docemo" in British documents) resisted the cession for 11 days while facing the threat of violence on Lagos and its people, but capitulated and signed the Lagos Treaty of Cession.[1] Lagos was declared a colony on 5 March 1862.[2] By 1872 Lagos was a cosmopolitan trading center with a population over 60,000.[3] In the aftermath of prolonged wars between the mainland Yoruba states, the colony established a protectorate over most of Yorubaland between 1890 and 1897.[4] The colony and protectorate were incorporated into Southern Nigeria in February 1906, and Lagos became the capital of the protectorate of Nigeria in January 1914.[2] Since then, Lagos has grown to become the largest city in West Africa, with an estimated metropolitan population of over 9,000,000 as of 2011.[5]

Leave Lagos alone and go fight for Ibadan, Abeokuta, Akure, Ado Ekiti, etc...
lol..meaning:Lagos was or is owned or own by the whites who colonised the Igbos?
