OfficialAPCNig:
We are still saying the same thing. Everything you calculated just amounted to 34.6% of our total imports, what about the other 65.4%? Ndi Igbo controls those.

Even at that, Ndi Igbo are still into heavy importation of those 34.6% you mentioned.

Ndi Igbo are Nigeria's largest importer of Kerosene, Anambra is the largest importer of packaged medicaments.

Ndi Igbo runs this economy (Kiss da Truth)
grin

industrialists like the Yorubas run the economy not the few small scale industries prevalent in your region.

Enugu made top 100 most resilient cities in the world the same time Barcelona, London, Paris, Athens, made the list.

No yoruba city can stand onitsha in number of high rising buildings, commerce, millionaires and development. Don't mention Lagos, we know who owes it.

No yoruba city can stand Aba in innovation.

lol..Go and read the history of the Yorubas who are empire builders like the Mongolians,Britain etc.Read up what they did to the Fulanis in Jalumi war when Afonja,a Yorubaman was not there to help them anymore, in Oyo,Oke Ogun in year 2000,2011,and very recently in Ile Ife..We do not pray for war and we love and respect all Nigerians including the Fulanis.Read up about the civil war..Igbos were going to win that war until they invaded Yorubaland and the rest is history.Yorubas won that war for Nigeria.Yorubas are very patient people with deep insight which some of you might not understand because only the wise knows the wise.
The essence of this small narrative is that Yorubas are not savages but real warriors..tested,trusted and guaranteed.

Facts are really sacrosanct.

Scenario 2: JAMB ALLEGEDLY GENERATES 52MILLION IN 40YEARS(whoever made this statement is surely experimenting with a new specie of janjaaweed).

contactwale:
Mr. Ochereome Nnanna, Chairman Editorial Board of the Vanguard newspapers, has described the Yorubas as "sophisticated morons".

Nnanna made this assertion in his reply to a post on Facebook.

Areh Sunday, a journalist and an aide to Delta State Governor, while reacting to President Muhammadu Buhari's declaration of June 12 as Democracy day on Thursday had gone to his Facebook page to express his disappointment in Yorubas for falling for the antics of the government of the day.

He posted:
"I use to think the South-West was very sophisticated. I was wrong. They are the most gullible. They fall for every poisoned carrot dangled before them"

Reacting to the post, Nnanna wrote:
"Sophisticated morons, more like"

This comment would not have elicited any reaction from me but for the fact that it was coming from the Chairman of the editorial board of one of the reputable newspaper houses in the country. A man of his status is expected to conduct himself in a respectful and responsible manner consistent with his function as an opinion-molder in the society.

Each and every newspaper is incomplete without the editorial section. They (editorials) are believed to be the heart and soul of newspapers. They display the values and policies of a newspaper and influence policy decisions.

A member of editorial board is expected to be matured, experienced, intelligent and well-informed. He must rise above politics, tribal and religion partisanship. An editorial member should be able to explain all the aspect of any issue in relating with past events, presents scenario and future prospectus. This is not the case with Nnanna as seen in this circumstance.

If this is the opinion of the Chairman of the editorial board of a national newspaper about Yorubas therefore, one should not be surprised about the view and news policies of Vanguard newspapers about the race.

It is my hope that Vanguard newspapers will caution Nnanna and apologise to the Yorubas for the embarrassment he has caused them.

Six Nigerian States Get 375m Naira For 10 Days Feeding Of School Pupils
The government says 5.5 million pupils will benefit from the school pupils feeding initiative nationwide
The Nigerian government says it has released over 375 million Naira this year to feed almost 700,000 primary school pupils in five states, in the implementation of its Social Investment Programmes.

A statement by the Presidency said virtually all States of the federation, except two, are now being processed for the payment of 30,000 Naira monthly Stipends to 200,000 graduates, the N-Power Beneficiaries.

Giving a media update in Abuja on Sunday, the spokesman for the Vice President, Mr Laolu Akande, said the current administration’s Social Investment Programmes, (SIP), were proceeding at different stages of implementation.

According to him, regarding the Homegrown School Feeding Programme, the Federal Government last week released money for this year, to Anambra, Ogun, Oyo, Osun and Ebonyi sates to cover the feeding for 10 school days.

“The sum of about 375.434 million Naira has just been released and paid to 7,909 cooks in those States for the feeding of a total of 677,476 primary school pupils,” Mr Akande said, giving the breakdown.

Breakdown Of Distributed Funds

According to the breakdown, Ogun State got a total of 119.648 million Naira paid to 1,381 cooks to feed 170,927 pupils, Ebonyi State 115.218 million Naira paid to 1,466 cooks to feed 164,598 pupils while Anambra State got 67.5 million Naira paid to 937 cooks to feed 96,489 pupils.

Oyo State got 72.2 million Naira paid to 1,437 cooks to feed 103,269 pupils and Osun State got 867,370 Naira paid to 2,688 to feed 142,193 pupils.

He said all monies were paid directly to the cooks and cover 10 days of school.

Mr Akande further disclosed that those figures would go up later this week when Zamfara and Enugu States expected to be paid 188.7 million Naira and 67.2 million Naira respectively are added to the benefitting states.

In Zamfara, the sum would be paid to 2,738 cooks to feed 269,665 pupils and in Enugu, the sum would be paid to 1,128 cooks to feed 96,064 pupils.

Their agenda from inception is to dominate Nigeria, nay Africa as championed by azikiwe as far back as 1940s. The first coup was their plan to achieve it but it backfired. Now they are crying all over the place. There's no way Yoruba could be marginalised in Nigeria. God has placed us in strategic position. The SW will continue to be the fastest growing region in Nigeria. There's no other way around it.

But we can do more if the country is restructured or divided, but we won't take the bullet for an ungrateful tribe who caused it all through their greed. No amount of blackmail will cut it. We will make the best out of this situation.

The northerners can continue to impoverish their people with the worst forms of diseases, illiteracy, religious war, while their elites keep getting rich at their expense. We don't care.
The cowards are not comfortable with how they have become slaves in Nigeria.

Edoloaded:
ASVI 2017: 36 States Generate N931bn IGR Against N3.3trn from Federation Account

… Lagos Generates More IGR than 30 States Combined
…. Economic Viable States: Lagos, Ogun, Rivers, Edo, Kwara, Enugu, Kano and Delta States
… Poor IGR States: Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, Kebbi and Katsina States

The Economic Confidential has released its Annual States Viability Index ( ASVI) which shows that seventeen (17) States are insolvent as their Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) in 2017 were far below 10% of their receipts from the Federation Account Allocations (FAA) in the same year.

The index carefully and painstakingly computed proved that without the monthly disbursement from the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC), many states remain unviable, and cannot survive without the federally collected revenue, mostly from the oil sector.

The IGR are generated by states through Pay-As-You-Earn Tax (PAYE), Direct Assessment, Road Taxes and revenues from Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDA)s.

The report by this economic intelligence magazine further indicates that the IGR of Lagos State of N333bn is higher than that of 30 States put together whose Internally Generated Revues are extremely low and poor compared to their allocations from the Federation Account.

The states with impressive over 30% IGR apart from Lagos are Ogun, Rivers, Edo, Kwara, Enugu and Kano States who generated N607bn in total, while the remaining states merely generated a total of N327bn in 2017.

Recently the magazine published the total allocations received by each state in Nigeria from the Federation Account Allocation (FAA) between January to December 2017. The latest report on IGR reveals that only Lagos and Ogun States generated more revenue than their allocations from the Federation Account by 165% and 107% respectively and no any other state has up to 100% of IGR to the federal largesse.

The IGR of the 36 states of the federation totalled N931bn in 2017 as compared to N801.95 billion in 2016, an increase of N130 billion.

While the report provides shocking discoveries the states with less than 10% IGR have jumped to 17 from 14 states in the previous year 2016. The poor states may not stay afloat outside the Federation Account Allocation due to socio-political crises including insurgency, militancy, armed-banditry and herdsmen attacks. Other states lack foresight in revenue generation drive coupled with arm-chair governance.

The states that may not survive without the Federation Account due to poor internal revenue generation are Bauchi which realized a meagre N4.3bn compared to a total of N85bn it received from the Federation Account Allocation (FAA) in 2017 representing about 5%; Yobe with IGR of N3.59bn compared to FAA of N67bn representing 5.33%; Borno N4.9bn compared to FAA of N92bn representing 5.41%; Kebbi with IGR of N4.39bn compared to N76bn of FAA representing 5.77% and Katsina with IGR of N6bn compared to N103bn of FAA representing 5.8% within the period under review.

Other poor internal revenue earners are Niger which generated N6.5bn compared to FAA of N87bn representing 7.43%; Jigawa N6.6bn compared to FAA of N85bn representing 7.75%; Imo N6.8bn compared to FAA of N85bn representing 8.1% and Akwa Ibom N15bn compared to FAA of N197bn representing 8.06%, Ekiti N4.9bn compared to FAA of N59bn representing 8.38%; Osun N6.4bn compared to FAA of N76bn representing 8.45 %, Adamawa N6.2bn compared to FAA of N72.9bn representing 8.49%, Taraba N5.7bn compared to FAA of N66bn representing 8.70% and Ebonyi N5.1bn compared to FAA of N57.8bn representing 8%.

Meanwhile, Lagos State remained steadfast in its number one position in IGR with a total revenue generation of N333bn compared to FAA of N201bn which translate to 165% in the twelve months of 2017. It is followed by Ogun State which generated IGR of N74.83bn compared to FAA of N69bn representing 107%. Others with impressive IGR include Rivers with N89bn compared to FAA of N178bn representing 50%; Edo with IGR of N25bn compared to FAA of N75bn representing 33%. Kwara State h
