The amount of hate and criticisms cristiano gets is out of this world.. We know he's a fraud, we know he only scores tappings and pk.. but we like him like that.. after all monkey nor fine but e mama like am.. I don't really know why all the pessi fanboys and media miscreants will be masturbating on anything relating to cristiano while they choose not to focus on their goat... Even on nairaland here, you will see a lot of Messi fans on cr7-related threads but you will never see them comment on any messi-related thread |

SenatePresdo:Normally, I would not have replied to this but.. You messi fans are the biggest hypocrites I swear..when it was reported that cristiano was moving to man city, you guys were bashing him for wanting to move to the best team in england and saying he should have gone to man utd/arsenal if he wanted a challenge..now he has gone to man utd, you quickly changed the narrative to moving to the most successful club, mind you this is a club that have not won the league since 2013.. seriously, what do you guys want from cr7 sef?? I really don't get why you messi fans will hate just one particular player like this just because he's a direct competition for Messi |
Ayo2004:Ur original goat is not even the top scorer in copa america sef ![]() |
Quaddafi29:To slap you just dey hungry me I swear, please explain to me how wanting your team to claim all 3 points equate to chasing personal glory |
Even Lionel Messi knows who the real GOAT is.. |
The Blaugrana legend compared his eternal rival to some of sport's biggest names and spoke of his standing in the world game Barcelona legend Lionel Messi has likened Cristiano Ronaldo to the biggest names in world sport, insisting the Portuguese icon is someone who stands out in the world of football. The question on who is best between Messi and Ronaldo has raged in recent times but the Argentine superstar himself admitted his respect for the Juventus attacker. Messi revealed he sees Ronaldo alongside other sport superstars in their chosen craft - likening him to Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and LeBron James. "There are many admirable athletes. Rafa Nadal, Federer, LeBron - in all sports there is always someone who stands out and is admirable for his work," Messi told La Sexta. "Cristiano stands out in football. There are many who stand out and always do their best." Despite Messi revealing his admiration for several sporting figures in world sport, the 33-year-old said that his children invoke more passion in him than anyone else. He explained he managed to suppress "the fan inside" when he became a senior player at Camp Nou. "When I started to be a professional, I managed to put aside my passion as a football supporter," Messi said. "Those who make me get up from the couch are my children. They are what move me the most today." Messi has been linked with a transfer to the likes of Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season after handing in a transfer request to Barcelona's hierarchy during the recent summer. The attacker decided to stay at Camp Nou after much deliberation and hinted that he could still remain at the club next campaign. "I'm sorry about everything. I always said it. Barcelona is my life. I've been here since I was 13 years old," Messi said. "Well, the truth is that today I'm fine, it's true that I had a very bad time over the summer because of how the season ended." Barcelona have struggled for consistency under Ronald Koeman, as they sit in fifth place in the La Liga standings, eight points behind Atletico but having played one extra game. Their next league fixture comes against Eibar at home on December 29. anigbajumo:That golden ball award was merely a consolation prize bros, Messi was supposedly the best player in that tournament, but somehow he was not among the fifa best 11 players in that tournament, which kind magic be that? Calling the nations league a friendly competition is like calling the champions league a friendly bcuz they are pretty much the same thing.. Pele said cr7 is best player, but according to you, he only said that because he's jealous that Messi is going to break his record.. okay, Maradona said messi did not deserve the golden ball, here you are again saying diego only said that he's pained that messi is dragging the goat title with him... Who do you this kind thing bros? So anyone that does not side with your goat suddenly become envious of him abi Anyways.. I don tire to dey follow you talk Hit me up when Messi wins an international trophy.. goodbye!! |
kmst1:I don tackle you now.. you don resort to insults.. Oga, abeg go sleep To you, messi is the goat, while to me, cr7 is the goat.. respect my choice, same way I will respect yours.. simple I'm done having this conversation.. #drops pen |
kmst1:Please when portugal won the euro 2016, who was the best player in that portugese team?? Individually, only griezmann had a better tournament than cr7 during that competition.. As for the nations league, cr7 only played two games, and he still played well.. infact only two players in league A scored more goals than cr7 during that tournament despite them playing like 4-6 more games than cr7.. You still tell messi to win a trophy na.. even if he doesn't play, no problem... Truth is as long as messi still plays for Argentina, they aint gonna win shittt... simple as abc |
kmst1:Bernando won the best player in NL ahead of cr7 because cr7 played 2 games while bernando played the entire tournament (about 8 matches or so).. and during those 2 games, cr7 still scored 3 goals and won one MOTM.. If winning an international trophy is easy, let messi win one for his country na.. I don't care if he doesn't even play a single minute, let him just win one.. rubbish |
anigbajumo:Cr7 has two international titles in his CV.. something messi can never dream of in the next 100 years.. And this wc golden ball you keep on referring to, you and I both know that Messi did not deserve that award, even maradona(a fellow Argentine) and the fifa president criticized the decision to give messi that award.. Messi played well during the group stages against average teams like nigeria, iran.. but when the big boys showed up during the knockout stages, he went into airplane mode.. if not because he's Messi, the coach would have benched him for aguero because messi was bang average during the knockout stages.. how he won the award ahead of muller who had more goals and assists than him is something I can never understand, but then messi won the 2010 ballon dor ahead of sneijder so am not too surprised.. and you know what the funniest thing was?? MESSI WAS NOT AMONG FIFA BEST 11 ALL STAR TEAM DURING THAT WC.. imagine a player not being part of the best 11 in a tournament when he was supposedly the best player |
kmst1:First of all my guy, no need for insults or harsh words Secondly, learn to read well before jumping onto my mentions I said the only reason why messi has a better goal to game ratio than cr7 is because cr7 played in epl, if you compare both of them on neutral ground(la liga, country nd ucl) their game to goal ratio is pretty much the same... Cr7's goal to game ratio for man utd was 0.4 (that is less than a goal every two games), but for madrid, he averaged more than one goal per game... Even salah's goal to game ratio for Liverpool is about 0.4 If Messi came to man city today, there's no way he can score like 55 goals in 55 games, things like this don't happen in england... Which means Messi's goal to game ratio is gonna drop significantly.. As for destroying epl teams in ucl, the likes of falcao, shevchenko, etc destroyed english teams when they met in europe, but flopped badly when they came to england |
kmst1:Even if messi likes, let him win 1million best player awards for international tournaments, all those are irrelevant if he cant lead his country to victory.. even messi said he would trade all his ballon dor for a trophy with Argentina.. Whether cr7 won an award is none of my business, all that matters is that he won the trophy and has a medal to show for it.. |
anigbajumo:Oga, even if Messi likes, let him win 10 golden balls and 50 ballon dor.. his legacy can never be complete without an international trophy.. Even messi said he would trade all his ballon dor awards for a trophy with Argentina, but yet somehow you think an international trophy is not important.. If I asked you to list the 15 best players of all time, I am sure 14 of them would have won a trophy with their country, while the odd one out will be Messi.. Tell Messi wins something for Argentina, he will always be considered a great in camp nou, but not a great in world football |
anigbajumo:I was simply waiting for you to bring up the fifa best player talk.. How many fifa best/ballon dor does Maradona have? How can you call someone a great player when they are yet to taste success with their national team?? Till the Argentine delivers for his country, he can never be called a great.. Hollat me when the Argentine tastes international glory, till then, you don't deserve a response from me |
anigbajumo:Oga, simply type pele says messi is better than ronaldo, and tell me what comes up on your Google search Have a nice day biko.. I am tired of your beer parlour talks |
kmst1:So now that's your trump card huh? Well, one has tasted success with his country while the other hasn't.. Hollat me when the Argentine delivers for his country |
kmst1:Salah's goal to game ratio for liverpool is less than one goal every 2 games.. so what's your point exactly?? If messi came to England today, although he MIGHT score a couple of goals, there's no way he's gonna be averaging a goal in every game like he's doing in spain.... which means his goal to game ratio is gonna drop.. hope you understand now Only a fool would call the epl overhyped |
anigbajumo:Stop living in the past bro.. the video you're referring to was made at around the time when cr7 had just one ballon dor while messi had like four.. around last year, pele placed cr7 ahead of messi.. why is this so hard for you to understand?? Anyways I am done arguing with you... It seems you know little about football unlike what I initially thought |
anigbajumo:Messi created 7 good chances against juve?? Who did he create these chances for abeg?? You?? Messi has created more chances than kdb, di maria and fernandes combined?? A simple google search would save you from all these embarrassment.. assist-wise, messi reigns supreme, but not in chances created Lemme pretend that you did not actually mention the likes of lewa in the same breath as cr7.. The pele you keep on shouting about actually said cr7 is the best in the world ahead of messi, but somehow you think you know better than him Yes, messi has a better goal-game ratio, but thats mainly because one played in the epl and the other didn't.. let messi come to epl, let me see if he would be able to maintain that ratio.. if you wanna be fair, compare then on common grounds, la liga, ucl and international scene There used to be a time when pele, diego nd messi were considered as the best 3 ever, but that was years ago when messi was winning about 4 ballon dors in a row..not anymore.... so stop living in the past bro |
anigbajumo:Oga, go and sit down if you have nothing to say Apart from shooting straight balls at Buffon, tell me what your playmaker did against juve, how many chances did he create? The way you guys hype Messi's playmaking abilities while downplaying cr7's own abilities annoy me, if cr7 was not creating chances, tell he how he got over 200 assists to his name, and you even said he has that amount of assists because he's a winger(lemme ignore the fact that he basically plays as a striker these days), I want you to also tell me how many other wingers can boost of having that same number.. and please also tell me why lewa, vardy cant also boost of having that same number of assist since they are just like cr7(just a goalscorer) If the number of chances created by a player was a prerequisite for being the best player, then it would interest you to know that the likes of ozil, di maria, payet, de bryune, etc usually dwarfs messi in this aspect despite messi having more assists than them.. Messi stays deep to influence play the way he pleases, the same way cr7 stays at the top to do his thing.. so I dont see why you should be overhyping the work done by Messi, while underestimating cr7's.. Must everybody start influencing play from deep just to be considered as the best player?? Penalties are part of the game, so there's nothing like lets take penalties away from cr7's game when about 90% of messi's goals this season have been from the penalty spot. |
anigbajumo:Cr7 is just a goal scorer, yet only messi has more assists than him in world football And its actually cr7 that is threatening to break pele's record, not Messi.. By this time next year, cr7 is gonna be the holder of 90% of the relevant records in world football Anyways sha, cristiano remains the best ever.. simple Have a nice day!.. One love |
anigbajumo:Oga, simply type pele says ronaldo is the best player on your google search bar and see what pops up.. I nor fit shout This clip you're referring to is an old one, made a couple of years after messi won four ballon dor in a row.. about last year or so, pele said ronaldo was the best in the world although he(pele) was the goat |
anigbajumo:Lol.. I am talking about pele saying cr7 is the best player and you're here talking about messi being more of a team player How does being a team player translate to being the best player biko Pls, provide a link to this video you're referring to, I want to see for myself Google is your friend bro, just type 'pele says ronaldo is the best player' and you will see what comes up Have a nice day.. One love |
kmst1:Oga, the importance of cr7 to this portugese team can never be underestimated.. Everyone of us knows that messi did not deserve that golden ball award at the 2014 wc.. even maradona(a fellow argentine) and the fifa president then said the same thing.. like I keep on saying that award was only a consolation prize.. messi only played well during the group stages against average teams like nigeria, iran.. during the knock out stages, he was bang average.. and if not because he's messi, he would have probably been relegated to the bench.. how he won the award over muller is something I can never understand, but then in 2010 he won the ballon dor ahead of sneijder, so am not too surprised Yes, cr7 did not play in the finals but anytime his team needed someone to bail them out, he was always there eg against hungary and wales.. this is something you hardly associate with Messi, when his team is playing well, he usually plays like an extraterrestrial but when things are going bad.. airplane mode activated Lastly bros, Portugal before cr7 were trash, no trophies and they even had difficulties qualifying for competitions.. but with cr7, we all know the story.. Argentina before messi, 2 world cup trophies, a couple of copa americas... but with messi, cobwebs and spiders on their trophy cabinet... And yet you're here saying that cr7 did not win the trophy for Portugal.. weldone oo, you try I don't really have time for this kind of argument sha, so have a nice day!.. One love |
anigbajumo:Mind you the pele you mentioned actually said cr7 was better than Messi Before I start giving you a comprehensive lecture on football, do you even know the meaning of skills and dribbling? And please mention a single skill that is attributed to Messi.. Cr7 is just a goal scorer so you say, but only messi has more assists than him in world football.. |
anigbajumo:Dribbling is different from skills bro.. cr7 still remains one of the most skillful players in world football today even if he doesn't dribble much nowadays.. Messi might be one of the best dribblers in world football, but even me can boast of being more skillful than him |
kmst1:The same maradona you're praising scored two goals during the semi finals of the 1986 WC,but did not score during the final match.. same way cr7 scored 2 goals during the 2016 european championship semi finals, and 3 goals during the nations league semi finals.. but failed to score in any of the finals.. but somehow it is okay for you to say that cr7's teammates won the cup for him while maradona won the cup by himself Yes, cr7 was injured during the finals, but the way he was parading that sideline like a coach, while encouraging and rallying his troops despite the pain he must have been feeling cuz of that injury can never be understimated..its just like warfare, if pres. Buhari was to go to the camp of those fighting boko haram today, their morale will simply sour to the roof even if Buhari does not fire a single bullet.. infact, I am very sure if it was Messi that was injured that night, he would have simply sat on his seat throughout or gone to the dressing room or even leave the stadium sef.. |
kmst1:Please mention the world class players.. and also tell me the reason why Messi has not been able to win a trophy with Argentina despite being surrounded by world class players |
