helinues:And town names in the SS like UmuIgbo, Ogwashi-uku, Obigbo, Umuibekwe, Asaba, Igweocha, Ubani e.t.c. so these are non-Igboid towns and the Igbo-speaking people who come from these towns should vacate it for which people? |
gidgiddy:Actually, I expect Ibibios to be able to form a great nation. They have the right temperament for that. They gave Biafra some badass administrators like NU Akpan and of course Obong Efiong. If Ibibios further join up with Efiks, Annangs and othe Akwa-Cross ethnic nationalities with whom they share certain similarities, the nation will be very attractive. The only downside will be that Bakassi will be lost for good, as it will be easier to get with 10s of millions of Biafrans than just a few million Akwa-Cross people, but Bakassi is a small price to pay for ones self-determination. No doubt Ibibios have more in common with Igbos than they do with Edo people, and even Ijoid people with whom they have common land borders, but still I don't see any obstacle if Akwa-cross people wish to join up with the Midwest to form a nation. But an SS nation will be too restrictive for enterprising Ibibios. An Akwa-cross nation will suit Ibibios and the other Akwa-cross ethnic groups just fine. |
blues234:up to 95% of Ikwerres were on the side of BIafra during the war. The post-war politics and psychological threats backed by the Fulani-inspired federal government, forced the Ikwerres to start distancing themselves from the larger Igbo body, especially as they were in a non-Igbo dominated state, with the fact that PH which was the oil headquarters was in Ikwerreland. The threat on them was too great so they did what they did. While I am not a fan of forcing people into the Igbo nation, I can almost guarantee that when the chips are down, and a referendum takes place, Ikwerres will rather go with people with whom they share the same language and culture, than go with an amalgam of a motley crew of people with various languages and cultures that are not related to theirs. |
Someone should tell Adeyanju to go and criticize his governors. They are all in APC. Also Soludo was initially in PDP, and since then has always been in APGA. He competed against Obiano for the APGA ticket in 2013 and lost, because the incumbent wanted his boyboy Obiano to succeed him. |
donbachi:God forbid that they should adopt GEJ's conference. It doesn't go far enough, and it builds on false foundation laid by the fraudulent 1999 constitution Nigeria needs a sovereign national conference. Before the sovereign national conference, there should be ethnic conferences, where members of various ethnic groups adopt their ethnic constitutions. After these ethnic conferences and adoptions of ethnic nationalities constitutions, representatives from the various ethnic groups can then attend a sovereign national conference of all ethnic nationalities in the geographical space known as Nigeria, and all these reps must head to the SNC with their own individual ethnic constitutions. One should be considered a member of an ethnic group, if the person shares the same language (65% similarity), and major aspects of the culture of that particular ethnic group. DNA can also play a part during dispute scenarios. So basically, if a village speaks Hausa as their first language and has Hausa culture, that village can't claim to be Yoruba. If they claim to be Yoruba, a DNA inspection can determine whether they have biological building blocks in common with the Yoruba or with the Hausa. No false tales of origin will suffice. It is in the SNC that a federal constitution is put together, taking notice of all the federating units (ethnic nationalities) and their constitutions. This federal constitution must have a clause that allows for referendums by each federating unit, just in case they may want to break away, if the terms of the federal constitution is being trampled upon by any domineering federating unit. cc: Tonyebarcanista |
nlreserve:There are Igbo-speaking people in Benue, Edo, Delta, Rivers, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River. But a referendum will decide |
Brexxit:That is why we will be going with our Igbo brothers in Rivers state, which includes Oyigbo and ONELGA LGAs, the two most oil-laden LGAs in Nigeria, Igbos in Delta state and elsewhere. No inch of Igbo territory will be left elsewhere. A referendum will decide who goes where |
Even the gods are policing the ban on open grazing already ![]() |
Much of this proposed nation helped bring in Buhari And I wouldn't want to be in a nation with MURIC influence. And where will the capital be? I will not support being in a nation whose capital is in an Islam influenced area. Lagos is definitely a No No |
fnep2smooth:Not very thorough. Anambra, along with Imo state have the largest gas reserves in the country, but you failed to mention Anambra |
Earlystar698:Of course I know that. That sentence is used in testing typewriter and computer keypads to ensure all the alphabet keys are working |
helinues:Anybody that supports Buhari's government is a supporter of Miyetti Allah. Buhari is carrying out their policies in government. I have noticed you're a major supporter of this government, hence MIyetti Allah |
helinues:I didn't know you're an IPOB supporter. Here you are, in the same camp as Nnamdi Kanu, and against Miyetti Allah. Wonders shall never cease to happen ![]() |
Arrangee gunmen. DSS is playing with you all. If they are real unknown gunmen, why allow them to carry their guns and magazines? It is just a bait. It is clear the intelligence agencies, the security services and NCC got nothing. They want to instigate chatter in the phone network and hopefully stir the hornet's nest strongly enough for the real unknown gunmen to be revealed. Two days ago they arranged for some Boko Haram to be "caught" by the army on their way to Owerri, none of them handcuffed. Today, two northern unknown gunmen still holding their guns, exposed. Very dodgy set of happenings |
IgweOfNnewi:Buratai was the COAS when ESN suya-rized some military people in Orlu. It was during Buratai' term that that soldier was seen running helter skelter in Orlu looking for where to hide. It was shortly after this episode that Buratai, along with the other service chiefs, were removed. |
helinues:I even saw video clips with citizens somewhere in Imo state cheering on the UGM as they were evangelizing and bringing down anointing and fire, on a police state. What this means is that UGM are not really attacking the normal citizens of SE and SS. They only seem to be going after the federal installations that either torture, rape and kill innocent easterners, or are there to protect terrorist Fulani herdsmen from punishment . And by the way, Anambra territory is more than enough for a full blown insurgency against the Fulani terroristic government of Nigeria, let alone the remaining SE states added to the adjoining Igbo territories in the SS. Now let me get this point straight. Igbos value lives of the innocent. Igbos are quite willing to do away with the lives of terrorists. Remember the mangled bodies of the Fulani family in Igbariam a few weeks ago. Igbos can be as gory as they wanna be, if the situation calls for it. And Igbos are always very willing to fight for what is right. Fulanis were relying on the residual fear that would have paralyzed any other group after having lost a war with 3 million casualties, obviously forgetting the fact that Igbos are like no other people that they know. In spite of the 67-70 loss, Igbos are still spoiling for a confrontation, and will do way much better than they did in the last outing for the following reasons 1 Britain will be unwilling to give unalloyed support to a government currently perceived as supporting terrorists like Alqaeda, ISWAP and Bokoharam 2 This will not be a conventional war like last time 3 Most of Nigeria will not be rallying to the Fulani cause, thus leaving the Fulanis totally exposed to be taught a very bitter and brutal lesson by the Igbos. |
helinues:It seems as though the Akwa-Ibom UGM celebrated the federal security meeting decisions of yesterday, with sending people to Christ today. I can guarantee you that the federal government will not win this war. FGN wants to rely on NCC for phone details and all such things, but this insurgency is far more sophisticated than that. FGN will have to eat the humble pie, to make it out of this dilemma. |
MrMaestro:Yoruba needs help from the whole of Nigeria before they can face Igbos. They will also need British support. Fulanis need the help of everyone before they can confront Igbos. Only Wakili chased Yorubas to Benin Republic |
temitope27:Fulanis also have the army backing in the east, but the ESN aggression is so overwhelming to the extent that the army backing seems non-existent |
Why? But I thought Wike has locked down the whole of Rivers state, and that it is totally protected from UGM activities? |
Simplyleo:And you think this will move anybody in the east. The east has seen the shooting of unarmed peaceful protesters. The east has seen PYTHON DANCEs. The east has seen massacres, rapes and a myriad of other devilish devices. Every decision taken in today's security meeting will not be different from decisions they have taken in the past. The bottomline is that the ban on checkpoints in the east remains. There is nothing Buhari can do about that. |
goodnessme1:When UGM starts using snipers and marksmen to take them out one by one over a period of weeks, they will start complaining. They are practically begging UGM or perhaps ESN, to introduce snipers and deal with this situation. UGM will obviously know it won't make sense going against these military human rights abusers on Ikonso road, the way they attack police stations in massive attacks. UGM will surmise that such an attack will bring about heavy civilian casualties, and also the military may have their men nearby to lay traps against any such UGM moves. When UGM or ESN introduces snipers and marksmen to take out these military abusers one per day, I hope the military know they contributed in causing their deaths due to sniper action. The military had better stop the harassment and shootings of Orlu people in Ikonso road, before UGM and ESN wises up to the idea of using snipers to deal with this situation. |
IDENNAA:Where are those Tinubu foot soldiers when Wakili and his fellow Fulani miscreants were chasing Yorubas to Benin republic? Those Tinubu boys are no match to ESN and UGM. They will be decimated, if they try any nonsense. ESN and UGM operatives are quite willing to die in battle. Tinubu's miscreants don't even have the balls to be slightly injured, let alone dying in battle. |
Moferere:Because you will attack Igbos from Benin Republic. Cowards threatening lions |
People can now see why this Fulani government makes sure no Igboman heads any security agencies. People can now see why they quickly got rid of the Ijaw gentleman that took over from the former DSS DG Mamman Daura. Nigeria is a beehive of terroristic moves. Ministers are proven jihadi terrorists. The security agencies are led by proven Fulani islamic terrorists, aiding bandits. People can now see why Buhari refused to declare bandits and Fulani killer herdsmen as terrorists. There is an ecosystem of terrorism that has permeated the fabric of Nigerian government, spearheaded by the Fulanis |
Graysons:Nigeria received way more foreign support than Biafra. Countries like Haiti, Ivory coast, Gabon and the majority of others only gave moral support and airfield for relief materials. Israel was so busy with their Arab wars to help but they also offered moral support. Nigeria received armoured tanks, planes and sophisticated guns from UK, Russia e.t.c and pilots from Egypt e.t.c Ijaws helped Nigeria and most ethnic groups helped Nigeria, and yet it took nearly 3 years for Biafra to be subdued. Nigeria didn't seek for any foreign help to crush the Ijaw rebellion in a matter of days. Most Nigerians are not even aware Ijaws fought any war. That's how insignificant and little, your war effort was. The whole Nigerian army didn't even take part in that war. Not even a full division took part in it. |
Graysons:But Nigeria had no foreign support when she defeated Ijaws. Nigeria didn't need foreign help to subdue Ijaw in just a matter of days. Seriously Ijaws have no chance against Igalas or Tivs. It will be a total annihilation for Ijaws if they dare measure d!cks with Ibibios. In under two months Ibibios will wipe you lot out |
