louqas:You are getting it wrong. People don't mind the linking of NIN and SIM. They just don't want a known Islamic terrorist to be in charge of that exercise. The data will be used in some nefarious terroristic moves, or supplied to his people in Alqaeda and Bokoharam and other Salafist Islamic terror groups |
Afriifa:As you have sought for my enlightenment, as a gracious G, I'll oblige you. Keep off Opobo. The supreme court has already awarded it to the Jaja family, and they proudly associate with their Amaigbo Kith and kin, even with their Amanyanabo title. Bonny has been rightly placed as an Ndoki territory, even with their Amanyanabo. Observations the 1700s have sealed that deal. Nri-Igbos the real owners of the Igbo market day deities, also established the same market days for Igalas, yet Igbos don't go to claim Igala land. The same goes for Benin. We only acknowledge that ancient kinship with those civilisations. |
Buhari seems 20 years younger than Tinubu in the picture |
PHijo:Just to burst a few of your bubbles The oldest surviving royal institution in Nigeria is in Igboland. The Nri kingdom. The Igbo royalty in UBANI (Bonny) existed way before the British came up with their warrant chief rubbish. These empirical observations of Bonny commenced in the 1790s, many decades before Britains came up with that crap. So make no attempts to stylishly claim that it was the British that instituted the Igbo royalty of Bonny during their warrant chief phase. These factual observations were made long before that. Eze Nri authorised the crowning of Obas of Benin and Attahs of Igala, and the core of the cultural practices of Igbos, Binis and Igala came from Nri, which is a bonafide Igbo group, so Igbos are culturally solid and can't be made to feel inferior in an environment where they feel superior. Ighotago ![]() Lest I forget, Ndoki owns Bonny |
Congrats to him. Well done |
PHijo:Of course, I am in agreement with you with regards to the bolded. Bonny can never be a neutral ground. It is owned by Ndoki people. No one can take it from them. The first book ever written about Bonny has already established that fact, and it will remain there forever. Your best hope is to convince Ndoki people that they are Ijaw. If you are unable to do that, then Bonny is not Ijaw. . According to the first book ever written about Bonny, people from Brass also migrated to Bonny, after the first settlers. I'm sure Chief Harold Dappa Biriye's ancestors were one of those Brass citizens that eventually settled in Bonny. Now Ijaws and Fulanis have been major allies and partners in committing atrocities against other ethnic groups. I initially pointed out the abandoned properties episode, which was initiated by the Ijaws. That clearly shows what you guys are all about. Exactly the same as Fulanis that are taking over people's lands. |
ChinenyeN:I have deleted quite a good chunk of what you wrote so as to make it easier for you to spot some of your statements that I have bolded for further inspection, and to point out some of your perspectives that will not stand the inquest of logic. I noticed you complained of the OPs "ijawphobia", but then went ahead to write something that should be seen as ndoki-phobia with regards to the ownership of Bonny. I also realise that your moniker is ChinenyeN, which has an Igbo base, but your writing suggests you are Ijaw with an Ijaw bias on the issues, especially as you backed Ijaw standpoints on 50-50 situations without any hard facts, some of which I will point out in the paragraphs below. In the first bolded statement, you averred that Umueze-Ndoki people came from either Benin or central Ijaw. Don't expect that such statements can be taken at its face value, because further examination of this standpoint is required. If Umueze people came from central Ijaw, there MUST be some deities/shrines that this Umueze people must have in common with Ijaw people, and those shrines MUST have Ijaw names. You have to know that Africans are extremely tribal, and in those days before Christianity, cultural breadcrumbs will be strewn all over the place to point to the fact that there is evidence that suggests father-son relationship between Ijaws and Umueze-Ndokis. Such claims cannot be made in a vaccuum and you expect me to believe it without hard facts. Hearsay can't cut it, in this sort of statement. Already, I know the word UMUEZE is clearly Igbo, but perhaps heavy cultural similarities like common deities can help sway this argument the Ijaw way. The absence of any such major cultural links, invariably means Umueze people are NOT of Ijaw descent, and are clearly Igbo. Such a deity MUST be revered by all and sundry of the Umueze community, and not by an element of a stranger community within Umueze, and MUST have an Ijaw name. I am an Nri person so I know what to look out for. Snippets from Alagoa's work won't be enough In the second bolded statement, you claimed that Umueze people arrived Bonny in the company of some Ijaw people. Here is yet another wild statement meant to whittle down Ndoki's well acclaimed first settler achievements. Are these Ijaws being led by these group of Ndokis? What shrines/deities did they establish at Bonny on arrival? How come earlier Europeans sailors, who can be described as neutral, claim that Bonny was first peopled by the Igbos, and that the ruling family was of Igbo descent? Do you think Ijaws would have allowed Igbos to be their traditional rulers, without a war of conquest? Observations made in the 1790s and published in 1830 in the first book ever written about Bonny, clearly made it obvious that Igbos settled first, and that the royal family was of Igbo descent. You really have to dig deeper to come up with details to expunge the facts already established by NEUTRAL OBSERVERS, when Bonny was still relatively in its formative years (1790s) in the first book ever written about Bonny |
AdakaBoro8:Haven't you noticed that Ijaws have territorial squabbles with every single neighboring ethnic group? Ijaws would have been worse than Fulanis, if Ijaws had the Igbo population. We cannot also forget the ABANDONED PROPERTIES saga, which Ijaws spearheaded. Your land grabbing tendencies are well known. You have land issues with Igbos, Yorubas, Urhobos, Itsekiriis, Binis. Haba!!! Now Bonny which a neutral traceable entity recorded in the 1790s and published in 1830, claimed was first settled by Igbos, and that the ruling families were Igbos, Ijaws are trying to claim, using quack historians like Alagoa, and fake Igbo:sounding monikers on nairaland, to try and claim |
PHIjo, Adakaboro8 and tonyebarcanista will not like this thread |
Taqqiya in full display. This man is extremely dangerous and should be placed on the terrorist watchlist asap. People should remember that a few weeks after Buhari was inaugurated as the president in 2015, a high ranking Alqaeda leader was arrested in a middle Eastern airport, on his way to Nigeria. The outing of this terrorist Pantami and Buhari's envoy status with Bokoharam, are revealing a deep seated terroristic tendencies in the presidency. The American authorities should take this episode very seriously. |
capitalzero:Ngige, Okorocha and others are part of just the 3% of Igbos that voted for the Alqaeda terrorist president. 97% of my Anambra people voted against the Islamic terrorist in 2015 Igbos should not be in the same nation as the ethnic groups that voted in a terrorist |
Please totally count Igbos out of the the stupidity that brought in an Alqaeda terrorist as the Nigerian president. Igbos should not be in the same nation with those that voted in a terrorist. |
Terrorist minister scared ![]() |
Yoruba1stson:Your actions only end here. The Igbo youths in Igboland know which security network they will support. Every Igbo person will always prefer ESN to ESN They will definitely not support ESN. But I can guarantee you they will be in 100% support of ESN |
omonnakoda:The same way the port at Obuaku will also be a sea port |
Nigga trying to sweet-talk IPOB into accepting EBUBEAGU. Nice try. IPOBs agitation has gone way beyond mere marginalisation of the SE. The main point is that most Igbos are now tired of Nigeria and its imbalances. They want out. The minimum that I suspect Igbos may tolerate is a new federal Constitution with resource control, right to self determination and referendum solidly engraved in such a constitution. Otherwise, ideally Igbos are now outrightly asking for referendum and Biafra. |
Why is this news so painful to certain people. Obuaku will be very busy when completed. My advice will be for the developers not only to concentrate on servicing Abia state needs. They should aim to serve the whole Igbo hinterland as that could easily make Obuaku the busiest seaport in West Africa. Imagine a seaport that serves ABA, Onitsha and Nnewi. That will drastically reduce the unbearable congestion that Lagos ports suffer, as well as bring needed business and hundreds of thousands of employment opportunities to Igboland. That will also greatly benefit the seaports in Rivers Akwaibom and Cross River states as the shipping nerve Centra of Nigeria could be moved eastwards |
Oh so it's no longer Python Dance. These guys are amusing. I have said it several times that Igbos don't succumb to psychological blackmail. You will have to kill up to 30 million Igbos before they surrender this time around, and it is not possible for the Nigerian army or indeed any African force to achieve that. Dialogue was and will always be the solution. Buhari's government has tied itself into a knot with regards to this Biafran issue. Humble pie is now the only way out for Buhari. |
Wonderful job by ESN. I see a lot of almajiris are not happy with the prompt action by ESN. Osukosu nwa mkpi nya biko sugbuo unu mma mma |
Juliusmalema:The bottom line is that what ever group is set up must dance to the eastern people's tune. No more allowing some empty-headed election riggers tagged governors to be in total charge of our collective destinies. Most of these rigged-in governors are answerable to the caliphate, so they must dance to our tune. Not the other way round, otherwise Ebubeagu will be flushed out. Mind you I am a moderate in this. Already some Igbo people that I spoke with don't even want them at all. They are not even willing to give them a chance to show their colours |
Make no mistakes about it, the alliance between the leadership of Ambazonia and IPOB, is wickedly strategic and a killer move, if properly harnessed by the IPOB and ESN leadership. What this means is that the IPOB now has a friendly neighbouring territory where they can train their 1 million man army that Kanu has boasted about in the past. And from that vantage point, there is nothing that the Nigerian army can do to prevent their re-invasion of Biafran territories. Ambazonians are already in firm control of huge expanses of their territory, and Biafran soldiers have an ample choice of adequate base camps where they can be fully trained and made combat-ready. No wonder Kanu talked confidently about planning to capture Wike alive. This is not an empty boast, if you look at it strategically. Wike is in a dangerous position, and could possibly be used in some sort of Samuel DOE-ish bloodlust moves by Obigbo Biafrans when this imminent danger starts to play out. All this escalation has been brought on Nigerians by the current rulers, who chose to fire live rounds at peaceful flag-waving IPOB demonstrators, raping their women and declaring a relatively peaceful group, a terrorist organisation. Ebubeagu is a non-issue. ESN already has attention of easterners. Ebubeagu will do well to seek some sort of partnership with ESN, otherwise they will incure the wrath of the populace. Ebubeagu must work with ESN Ebubeagu must not hand over Fulani terrorists they capture to the Fulani-controlled police Ebubeagu can seek Igbo and ESN support to maintain checkpoints throughout Igboland, but if they start to extort the citizens, the way the police and army people did, they will be flushed out the same way army and police checkpoints were flushed out. If Ebubeagu sticks to the above 3 points, they will have no problem |
Well put together. Just a little addition. The UK that is made up of people of the same race and RELIGION still find it convenient to adopt the devolution of power model. Nigeria that is made up of people who are barely the same race and definitely NOT OF THE SAME RELIGION, coupled with the fact that Fulanis subscribe to modern day cow herding with a huge dose of terrorism infused in the practise, with a Fulani president refusing to curtail the activities of his fellow Fulani terrorists. But for some reason, devolution of power model is frowned upon by the powers that be, actively supported by the UK. The same UK that was aggressively against Turkey joining the EU, principally because Turkey was a Muslim country with a different cultural outlook, that is no where as aggressive as Fulani cattle herding terrorism. |
[quote author=forgiveness post=100639788]Do you mean Forbes can be manipulated? [/quote Of course. Even the US government can be manipulated, let alone Forbes that is individually owned. |
PROUDIGBO:Every list is suspect. Not just Wikipedia. But those mentioned are known men of means. No ojoro in that regard. |
Monogamy:As I wrote earlier, the one you provided, could also be manipulated, so I don't buy into it also. According to the list provided, Igbos dominate the billionaires list. Deal with it. |
Monogamy:Anybody can change anything, not just wikipedia. From this list provided, Igbos dominate. Full stop. |
Monogamy:Please count the names below. I have removed the non-Igbo billionaires from the list. They are all Igbos. In fact according to this list, in the top 10, there are 6 Igbo billionaires. 3) Emeka Offor Nigeria 5.8 Billion Oil, Gas, Automobiles, Media Communications, Power 4) Prince Arthur Eze Nigeria 5.7 Billion Petroleum, Gas 6) Cletus M. Ibeto Nigeria 3.8 Billion Petroleum, Cement, Auto Mechanics Ifeanyi Ubah Nigeria 1.7 Billion Oil and Gas, Sports9) Tony Elumelu Nigeria 1.4 Billion Financial Services, Energy, Real Estate, Agribusiness 10) Dr. ABC Orjiako Nigeria 1.2 Billion Oil, Pharmaceutics, Shipping, Real Estate 11) Orji Uzor Kalu Nigeria 1.1 Billion Furniture Manufacturing, Transportation, Oil Trading 14) Pascal Dozie Nigeria 1 Billion Financial Services, Telecommunications 15) Leo Stan Ekeh Nigeria 1 Billion Internet Services, E-Commerce |
So there are 9 Igbos in the top 15 richest Nigerians. I didn't expect that So Igbos truly dominate the rich table. Total domination, in spite of all the economic sabotaging that has gone on against Igbo businesses. Ibeto could so easily have been the richest Nigerian if not for the sabotage he constantly gets from Nigerian governments starting from OBJ to the present. The other ethnic groups are left with the remaining 6 spots, while Igbos alone have 9 spots. Wicked ![]() And to think of the fact that below these super rich table, are the Coscharis and the Innosons and the Chikasons of Igboland. Truly Igbos are by far, the richest ethnic group in Nigeria. I don't believe (or don't remember) I have ever made this statement, but this table is screaming this loudly. Yorubas 8.9 billion Hausa Fulani 17.7 billion Igbo 22.7 billion Bear in mind that the 17.7 billion ascribed to the Hausa/Fulani is heavily government-aided. Dangote and BUA will be nowhere without government help. Actually, Yorubas ought to have more than the Hausa/Fulanis, so the 22.7 billion ascribed to Igbos speaks volumes about the Igbos, who have been most undermined by the Nigerian system. Truly IGBO AMAKA ![]() |
warripekin:May success be a constant feature in your life and your descendants' lives |
But I thought the Nigerian police is claiming that this act was carried out by ESN? So the media arm of these unknown gunmen is made up of northerners, very likely Fulanis. IPOB and ESN have been fully exonerated. Further investigation still needs to be carried out as I strongly suspect Fulanis in government are involved. That is the only reason the attackers were not confronted while they were carrying out these attacks for a few hours |
These guys and stupidity are like 5 and 6 The army can only do this show of force in about 2 to 3 towns simultaneously. 5 towns at most Igboland is not made up of just 5 towns so yet again, the military planners have embarked on the wrong course of action. As I wrote severally previously, the Nigerian authorities will have to eat humble pie to make headway. The Nigerian authorities started this meaningless violence against unarmed flag waving youths and women. They carried out this brutal violence for many years, killing and raping peaceful IPOB protesters. Easterners no longer see the Nigerian military and police as there for them, so any show of force will be seen as a ploy to intimidate, and believe it or not, the normal easterner has more confidence in an ESN operative or UGM than in a police or military man. Now that the military machine is in Owerri, the UGM can easily relocate to any other Igbo town and operate there, and possibly be organising hit and run operations inside Owerri. Today the UGM have successfully checked the activities of military and police roadblocks in Igboland, and if the military now wants to adopt the show of force formular, in a few months time the UGM may team up with ESN to effectively instil terror in the hearts of military and police officials involved in those show of force operations. The Nigerian authorities need to start speaking with IPOB and ESN, identify common interests and pursue them. Identify divergent interests and come up with compromises if possible |
