In a quick interview, Peter Obi was asked if he would bring back Nigerian Airways. He succinctly gave a Negative answer, stating that any business run by a government will fail. He also stated that the government could be a minor holder of the company.

When challenged about Emirates Airlines, he claimed that Emirate Airline isn't owned by the government in a bid to cover his flawed argument

Fact Check:
Peter Obi stated he wouldn't bring back Nigerian airways because any business having its shares owned largely by the Government is poised to fail.
It is clear that Peter Obi wasn't aware that the Nigerian Airways is owned by the private sector and only 5% is owned by the Nigerian Government.
This is evident in the recently released Employment Advert

When asked about Emirates, Peter Obi claimed that Emirates is a private organization and the government owns a part of it.
According to center for Aviation, Wikipedia and many credible sources, the Emirates /group is wholly owned by the Government of Dubai .

1) The Law is in the constitution of Nigeria (not just Lagos State).

2) It has always been part of our laws , even during the colonial times.

3) These taxes are collected in other States as well but many people who don't pay taxes may not know.

Presidential candidate of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a video speaks on the religion which a lot of people seem to have based the coming presidential election on.

He says "We are not going to cabinet meetings to preach sermons, we are going to be discussing Nigeria"


This is a reply to a lot of people who have raised issues with his choice of Kashim Shettima as vice presidential candidate.

"We will be discussing progress, programmes that will develop the country"

He also said the important thing in choosing a president is the capacity of the person and his ability not trivial matters
