firstly, from ur users name oga Kazeem and your phone number,i do not know you,I did not take any Yoruba man to inspect this car today,the only people that came to inspect this car today were three IBO guys,they came together,and what they complained about this car was owners side of the car that was slightly bashed,which I told those IBO guys that the car was a Nigeria used car,driving on Lagos roads,no matter how clean the car,the buyer will surely fix one or two things to bring the car back to the buyers taste,even tokunbo cars,they confirmed that the engine, gear,and ac are working perfectly, and the interior is very/supper neat, so,those guys did not even spend up to 10 minutes to inspect the car,and they left....

Concern the pictures of the car that I used to post this car,the pictures were recent pictures of the car,I took another pictures of the car with my phone today which I will post under this comment...

Concern the time you said you wasted which I don't even believe you,what I will tell you is that,you are not the first person that will go to inspect car you saw online and not buying it...I have gone to Ajah many times to inspect cars without buying them,I have gone to ikorodu,lekki,Akute,and so many places,I was at Ebute Mata yesterday to inspect an Avalon that I posted here two days ago,I was betting by the rain,I even forgot to collect my 700 naira change from bus conductor, at end of the day,I did not buy the car,heaven did not fall,so,coming to ikotun to inspect car and not buying it is not a big deal,and I don't own you any apology for that,the way your wasted your time and money,that is how you wasted my time and money as well,because I'm not staying in Ikotun....

Concern the dealer that posted the same car 700k,I will just advise you to contact the dealer directly ,ask him,oga,why did you post the same car the deal hunter posted 599k,700k,he's in d best position to answer your question,happy search/hunt on Nigeria used cars without any little issue...

Best advise, continue using the knocking engine and save the 80k... Go and buy direct 2AZ engine borale(incomplete engine) it goes for nothing less than 230k cos the ring will fail and the complete goes for 260-270

Good mornin house. Can gurus in the house help me out.

A panel beater opened my rear exhaust pot/muffler and we saw that greater part of the perforated tube inside was in shreds.

He now cleared d mess and used an ordinary iron pipe to construct another tube inside the pot; he made holes all over the pipe to look like the damaged one. He welded it back again and neatly patched up the broken exhaust pot.

The car went firing perfectly, with lesser noise (no much noise before the work anyway) and great fuel efficiency.

But my worry is whether there could be some mechanical issues or dangers to this reconstructed internal tube. Should I go for a "new" rear exhaust pot/muffler?

The greatest knowledge gap that auto technician are currently facing not only Nigeria but worldwide are "detail knowleage of principle of how things works and it's relationship to the electrical architect of the vehicle and even to the extent of intermodule communication ".
Scanning a vehicle is just small fraction of many test procedure to diagnose simple fault like this just like a what typical stestscope to a Doctor ,which is to give clue to the faulty system but cannot tell u to minute detail the fault., further test is required to get to the root of the problem .
Scan tool is purely a data retriever and test tool and is just like a sidekick to a superhero and not superhero itself .You are the superhero that will analysis the issue base on data received from scanner and other diagnosis tools like your Multimeter , Labcope and most importantly armed electrical foundational knowledge of what transpired in the background of the system .If you are armed with the right knowledge ,there is no limit to extent of Kazeemisation of a messed up vehicle you cannot undertake its restoration project to manufacturer specifications and even there is nothing stopping you for taking on any brand of vehicle and year as early as obd1 vehicle .
You don't have a business even repairing a toy car if cannot understand to detail the electrical circuit and signalling process that goes in background of any system cos you are going to be goofing around changing parts based solely on what your scanner DTC is telling you which doesn't differentiate you from a typical Kazeem despite investing in millions of naira professional scan tool.
Also,I will like to add to this piece that it is professionally wrong to be advising people that have issues with their car to be changing parts based on the scan DTC they give ,it is amateurish and not professional cos a lot of variable are involved which you won't have info about unless u actually see the vehicle physically and perform the needed test .
That you have guess right before doesn't apply to all situations .We can give point out area for them to concentrate their effort on but not to give advice on part changing .
Let me dive on how a typical architecture of electronic type throttle systems assembly of vehicle and Nissan peculiarities and the areas the ops will need to concentrate effort on .
