I began by reading books meant for beginners then on to Pro-targeted books so as to hone my skills. You should know the web is full of resources on training oneself and you'll be amazed to know most of the popular authors (David Powers, Ed Tittel, Kevin Yank, Janet Valade... ) of web development books were self-taught. Which brings me to one of my philosophies of life; if somebody can, i can. But if you must get tutoring, be sure not to limit yourself to that class, explore other angles of by a couple of authors' thoughts on concepts and techniques. Good luck. FestacGirl: This has been on my mind for a while , but let me share it with you guys
i had an experience in the year 2010 . i went out with my boyfriend in his dad's car a 2007 Toyota Camry,we went to The Palms Shopping Mall we played games , watched movies e.t.c it was fun ,we came back late in the night around 7'oclock in the evening.
We needed to talk about alot of stuffs so he parked somewhere around his hood at festac town, the place was dark and quiet , We talked about many some important things , one thing led to another we started kissing inside the car,and the car was damn cold cos of the ac, so i held him tight while we kissed and cuddled, for more ease he moved on to the front passenger seat and was ontop , while we were having a hot Romance, He Was damn good when it comes to such, i was really really enjoying it, we were lost in the moment and we didn't even notice the police were watching , they were on patrol, they parked their hilux and Knocked on the Glass
At first we thought they were thieves , when they started flashing their touch-lights, then we knew they were cops, so we quickly adjusted and he went back to his seat, then my boyfriend rolled down the window to talk to them , they gave him a hot slap before he could even say a word He opened the door and tried to attack the officer that slapped him but the other officers held him, They asked him how old i was , i was 20 then and he was 22, at least we were not under age, He told them but they didn't even listen, i knew they were just looking for free money since they might have patrolled through out the whole day without getting a dime so they drove my boyfriends car and asked for direction to his house , we got there and he called his father out and he explained what happened to him, but the officers were lying and they told his father we were having sex inside the car, long story cut short , his father gave them 5k and they left....
Now my question is : IS IT A CRIME TO MAKE-OUT INSIDE THE CAR So una two don marry now?? |

bravesoul247: I seriously don't know how it started but all I can say is I love my boss. I started working with this travel agency recently and there is this charming lady I always meet anytime I have issues with a client and we solve it together, so in the process of tackling these problems together I will always tell her she's looking beautiful and all.
One day, a client came with her daughter to book flight, while the woman was with this my boss I was having a light chat with her daughter but I never knew that my boss was watching me, after the whole booking she was like "so I'm toasting that woman's daughter abi, in fact all guys are the same'.
She kept on talking about it and stuffs like I have guts, my voice sounds like a flirt's own( I do it on purpose though). I arrived my office one fateful morning and greeted all my colleagues then a colleague of mine that I seem to be having a crush on told me that my boss told her that me and my colleague are having a crush on each other and that we are always hugging ourselves everywhere, later my boss left her office and came to our office then I purposely started flirting with that my colleague to see my boss' reaction and she repeated that same statement again.
Now I dreamt that I saw my boss in my dream and we kissed, lol. The problem is that she talks too much (make no go cast me for my other ogas front in case I wanna make any move) and she's older than me maybe with 3 or 4 years or 2 self and she's a big and classy lady, she get ride sef while me still de trek. I'm just so confused because I hate it when I love someone and I can't express it or tell it to the person because she's my boss. Please I need you guys to advice me, I don't know what to do.

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Best Way To Answer This Interview: Tell Me About Yourself by ogaprime(m): 12:15pm On Jul 29, 2015 |
bellong: The question is not for you to answer what you think but what the interviewer want.
The single most important strategy in job hunting- You want to be selling what the buyer is buying: The key to all successful interview is to match your qualifications/skills to what the interviewer/recruiter is looking for.
You should only talk about some of your career accomplishments and hobbies related to the job you are applying for.
Start with the present and tell why you are well qualified for the position. Instead of giving a chronological life history, focus only on your strengths and how they relate to the role/position advertised.
Connect your abilities to the employer's requirements. Do not assume that the employer will do it for you.
Example of a good answer...
I'm really energetic and a great communicator. Working in sales for 3 years helped me build confidence, and taught me the importance of customer loyalty. I launched a company newsletter, which helped us build on our existing relationships and create new ones. Because of this, we ended up with an increased revenue of 15% over 8 months. My real strength is my attention to detail. I pride myself on my reputation for following through and meeting deadlines. When I commit to doing something, I make sure it gets done, and on time.
The example described your strength, what you can bring or offer the company and why they should hire you. In essence, tell me about yourself is referring to "sell us yourself or proof to us why we should hire you". They don't need your life history, it is already on your resume. Thanks for the tip... But what can a fresh graduate that has just finished nysc with no working experience say when the " tell me about yourself question is asked |
Jobs/Vacancies › Re: 18 Common Interview Questions, Tips And Answers by ogaprime(m): 10:48am On Jul 29, 2015 |
CVWizards: 1. Interview Question: Tell us about Yourself.
Tip: If you’re attending an interview, here’s one question you can’t escape. and it usually comes first. The formula to getting the answer right is to start from where you currently are, then delve backwards a little bit about the experience you’ve garnered at your previous roles. And round off with the future – why you’re really excited about this opportunity.
Answer: “I’m currently an Accounts Officer at GTBank, where I manage the accounts of some of the bank’s top customers. Before that, I worked at KPMG as a graduate trainee for 2 years. My experience there really enhanced my analytical and problem solving skills. I’ll love the chance to advance my career in the Oil and Gas Sector, which is why I’m so excited about this opportunity with the Petroleum Training Institute.”
2. Interview Question: What do you know about this organization?
Tip: This question is one reason to do some research on the organization before the interview. As soon as you’re invited for an interview, it is expected of you to find out as much information you can about the company. Find out where they have been and where they are going. What are the current issues and who are the major players (The Founders/ Owners), when was the company established, what services or goods do they produce, where is their head office, branches located, what is their mission statement, vision?
Answer: “The Petroleum Training Institute is a federal government owned tertiary institution established in 1973 to train indigenous middle-level manpower to meet the labour force requirement of the Nigerian oil and gas industry. The motto of the institution is “For skill, service and progress” and the current principal is Mr. Joseph Orukele.
3. Interview Question: Why do you want to work here?
Tip: To answer this question correctly, you need to do a little research on the company so that you can identify specific reasons why you want to work with the organization, and most importantly, be able to defend whatever reason you state, should the interviewer ask you to explain further. These reasons could be one or more of the following: The company’s pedigree, the reputation of its founders, admiration of its offerings (goods or services), company’s management philosophy, company’s recognition and awards received, core values, company’s market position and prospects.
Answer: “Well, the Zenith Bank’s pedigree is certainly one to be reckoned with. I would be proud to work for a company with such a long history of leadership in the industry.”
4. Interview Question: What experience do you have in this field?
Tip: Speak about what you’ve done in the past or what you do in your present job that is related to the position you are applying for. Here you can also include free services you rendered to religious or social organizations, friends and relations. If you do not have any specific experience, get as close as possible.
Answer: “From the job description, you’re looking for an individual who can take proper charge of your financial records. You also need someone who is computer literate and proficient with accounting packages. In my previous role as an Accountant with PZ Industries, I was responsible for maintaining the books of accounts of the company. I prepared the final accounts, balance sheets, profit and loss account, cash flow statement, and other management accounts without supervision. I did these and other related accounting tasks for over a period of 4 years using various accounting software including Peachtree and QuickBooks.”
5. Interview Question: Why should we hire you?
Tip: Don’t be scared to tell the interviewer that you are the best person for the job, but be prepared to back your claim up with what specifically differentiates you.
Answer: “You should hire me because I’m the best person for the job. Although there may be other candidates who also have what it takes to get the job done. Yet I bring an additional quality which makes me the best person for the job – my passion for excellence. I am passionately committed to producing results in all my endeavors. For example, in 2008 when I was given a target to generate 100 million naira deposit from customers, because of the passion I had for my job, I was the only one in my team who achieved the target.”
6. Interview Question: How did you hear about the vacancy?
Tip: No beating about the bush. Go ahead and state the source. If you found out about the opening through a friend or a relative, don’t hesitate to drop the name. Back it up by stating why you were so excited about the vacancy. Make your answer short.
Answer: “I heard about the opening through Bidemi, a childhood friend, but since my undergraduate days, I’ve always had the dream of working with your company.”

Webmasters › Re: What Is Your Webdesign Story? by ogaprime(m): 2:20am On Jul 26, 2015 |
CreativeWeb: We all have a story or two of how we started as web designers or developers. Can we share our stories? How did you start? What motivated you into web designing? Where did you learn? How far have you gone today?
I started in 2009 (6 years ago). I just started asking myself how websites are built. I was imagining the technology behind websites like yahoo then. I started searching on google, 'how to design a website.' I got lots of info, but I was unable to lay my brain on anything. Everything was sounding like a rocket science to me.
One day, I walked into NIIT at Onitsha and paid for web design training. I was ready to do anything that time just to learn web designing. As the training progressed, I discovered that the guy was not competent enough. It seemed he was doing guess work. I was fed up. I started googling web design training in Nigeria. And I stumbled on a website of a school in Ibadan. They said it's one month training covering html, css, javascript, php and mysql. The training fee was 100k and you must pay 80% before entering class. I was happy. I immediately paid 100% of 100k into their UBA account and headed to Ibadan. I accommodated myself and fed myself for 30 days. I was enthusiastic to learn and become a web designer or developer. But the training turned out to be total crap. Only one guy was handling us. He taught us html and css for almost 3 weeks and the owner of the school just brought one guy and he taught us javascript (only javascript alert). Then one month finished. I later discovered that the owner of the school knew nothing about web design. He only collects money from people and invite some half-baked freelancers to teach. He was a tech 419er.
If it were today, I wil get him arrested and prosecuted.
Well, I came back angry. I was still empty. But with the small knowledge I gathered and reading up on the internet, I even landed a web design job from a church. They paid me 150k. I downloaded free html template and edited it and gave them. They were very happy. But trouble started when they asked me that they want to be updating the website by themselves. I was in trouble because my knowledge was not upto doing a dynamic and cms-powered website. I told them that I wil be updating it for them for free until after six months, they wil start updating. I convinced them that these 6 months period is for free support and update. I wanted to quickly learn php and mysql.
I searched again for where to do the training and found none. So I left for India. It was while in India that I learned more about html, css, jquery, responsive design, php, wordpress and joomla.
Today, I can develop a php web application, but I now focus mainly on doing a wordpress and joomla websites. With my knowledge of coreldraw and photoshop, I design all my graphics. And I am very good in html and css, ui and ux and color theory.
Over to you. Let's hear your story. Sir, your experience is motivating and encouraging. I myself am looking for a place to learn php, html, wordpress in ibadan when I stumble upon your post. How can you be of help?? I only have "female kinda" basic knowledge of computer...thanks. |

Now that GEJ is gone they still have their bokos waxing strong.
They fed and nurtured Boko Haram and it is just a matter of time before Boko Haram consumes them in the north.
Very soon it will spread to the SW but never gain a foothold in the SS and SE.
As things stand now, the north through Boko Haram will eventually destroy this country.
Not a sinle shot will be fired to usher in the independent states of Niger Delta Republic and Biafra.
Mark my words. The war the SW and north want to wage in the ND and Biafra will never come but will be fought in their land. Loool....see talk. So you think boko haram will bomb SS and SE with bombs.
