drobadebayo:Oga,I don't know about exams taking in the republic. I myself thinking of writing a prometric exam in d republic, though I have list of vue prometric centers in Joburg. I paid 21k visa fee Process involved filling the application form and submitted along with requirements at vfs Lekki phase 1, Lagos, Hotel, a total of about 78kfor 5 nights. Flight via SAA about 132k Cheers |
staggerlee:Yeah, sure I will. I'm staying in the hotel throughout my stay in the republic. I'm going skydiving! ![]() Thanks man. |
midep:This thing is simple. I applied for 5 days single entry on Wednesday 27th of January and by evening Friday 29th I received a text message for collection. I went for pickup today and was given 3 months multiple. I used protea hotel midrand for hotel reservation and no deposit was required. You get confirmation number in your mail. I reserved flight with SAA. As for funds, what matters most is your account cash flows. I submitted salary account and non-salary account statements with periodic and moderate cash flows. Letter of intro from office, office id card, self introduction letter (very important), yellow card and application form. People should avoid all those tout agents. One even boasted to me I would never be given visa because South Africa visa is runs. He wanted to collect 150k. You guys out there can do it yourself. Nothing special about visa from any country. Just prep yourself wella and give the embassy what they require, then you are good to go. Chikena. |

abujaniv:That means I will reschedule my traveling itenerary to January and explain to the consular officer. Thank you sir. You are appreciated. Good job you are doing. |
@ abujaniv Wonderful work you're doing. You are really appreciated. I submitted my online DS-160 today and booked appointment but unfortunately the appointment given to me was far off. I planned to take 10 days short tourism vacation to start December 13th through December 22nd. I planned to go to USA and return in good time to be able to spend Xmas and new year with my folks at my hometown (which is a yearly event since childhood). Unfortunately I was given interview date first week in January 2016. I purposely choose to apply in Abuja because of the shorter wait time of 8 days before interview appointment. Dear VO, what do you suggest I do to have my interview before December 10th Is that possible If not, would the vo understand my plight if I told him I had to change my traveling itinerary from December to January In the ds-160 I filled my arrival and departure date.Thank you VO. Note: my official annual leave from work is just 30 working days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays) spanning December 2015 through mid January 2016 ![]() |

The non-academic staff of the University of Ibadan, Oyo State, on Monday, issued a two-week ultimatum to the institution’s management to settle all outstanding issues, otherwise the management should be ready for a strike. The workers, under the aegis of the Joint Union of Non Academic Staff of Universities, told journalists after a congress in Ibadan that the ultimatum was necessitated because of the alleged insincerity of the institution’s management. The three unions are: the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), Non Academic Staff Union of Universities (NASU) and the National Association of Academic Technologists (NAAT). Mr Wale Akinremi, spokesman of the unions, said that the university since 2009 had allegedly failed to pay workers the Earned Allowances that the Federal Government had approved for them. Akinremi said that other contending issues included the alleged privatisation of the University Staff School and the career structure proposed by the management. According to him, the unions in 2009 had an agreement with the Federal Government on the payment of Earned Allowances but since then, management had allegedly not paid a single staff member. “And the issue of the privatisation of the staff school is null and void and every union is saying no to It,” he said. Akinremi said that the union had it on good record that the Federal Government had made available fund for payment of the Earned Allowances to workers. However, the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Isaac Adewole, said that the allegation of corruption was unfounded. “These are unfounded allegations, we do not know where these came from. There is nothing like privatisation of the University Staff School,” he said. He said that the institution had done a lot to improve staff welfare and that the council of the university, in a meeting, proposed a new career structure for all workers to prevent stagnation. “There must be a career structure for all workers. The University of Ibadan of the 21st century must do an evaluation of all members of staff for promotion to the next level. “The new structure is for those on CONTISS 9 and above, who will henceforth be promoted every four years and this is to further prevent staff stagnation,” Adewole said. On the Earned Allowances, the vice chancellor said that the university was yet to effect the payment due to shortage of funds. He said that the management would continue to dialogue with the unions to reach a compromise, adding that the situation would not be allowed to degenerate to a workers’ strike. http://whatsupibadan.com/2015/06/16/university-of-ibadan-workers-issue-notice-of-strike/
