PoliticsRe: Nobody Complained I Stole Their Money – Patience Jonathan by ogb5(m): 7:00am On May 25, 2019
It is not the duty of an accused person to prove her innocence, it is the duty of the efcc, the accuser, to prove her guilty of committing a crime by showing where she stole the money from and how she stole the money.

Having money in ones account is not a crime.

PoliticsRe: Military: We are Not Planning To Overthrow Buhari by ogb5(m): 2:58am On May 15, 2019
SarkinYarki:
in 1983 Buhari denied the Army was planning a coup against Shagari but went on to carry out a coup..i hope this is not the case
One critical piece of information was that when shagari was told that buhari was plotting a coup against his government, shagari waved it aside claiming that he knows the coup plotters and does not know the politician that will otherwise succeed him if the coup is stopped.

By that statement, shagari preferred a fellow northerner to overthrow is government than for him to hand over to Ekweme his vice from the southeast after his tenure.

Nigerians will need to watch buhari closely as we get close to 2023 when he is expected to hand over to a southerner. We don't want a fg sanctioned coup just to prevent a southerner from being President.
PoliticsRe: Adebayo Muhammed Arrested Over N4M Land Scam by ogb5(m): 4:43pm On May 09, 2019
Efcc and media trial.

The man sold land and the new buyers became aware that the land belongs to the federal ministry of land and housing.

This can just be a claim to rubbish the man's reputation and use efcc to extract money from the man.

There are many instances where communities sell lands already gazetted for one govt agency or the other. Because the communities later oppose the acquisition of their land by government. Just a few days ago, Osibanjo had to address people protesting the acquisition of their land in abuja that was done in the 70s.

In this case the buyer might have been aware that the land is in contention and agreed to buy it but after being unable to get an approved plan for structure he intends to put on the land must have decided to use the efcc to harrass the seller for a refund of the money he paid.

Efcc is not a debt collector and there are several cases where the courts have ruled against using efcc for debt collection, yet the efcc is still engaged in debt collection instead of focusing on the actual economic and financial crimes that impact our economy and development.

Those with land payment disputes should file civil suits in court to ask for refund of their money instead of using efcc as debt collectors.
RomanceRe: She Is Threatening That If My Mum Is Not Locked Up She Will Leave Our Marriage by ogb5(m): 11:05pm On May 04, 2019
Cool down and reason very well.

Your mum cut her grandchild's hair and for that reason your wife beat up your mum.

She wants you to get your mum arrested or else she will leave the marriage.

It is unfortunate that you gave your wife the authority to beat up your mother. You are a foolish child.

You can marry many wives and replace your wife, you can not replace your mother.

A woman who beats up her mother inlaw has no respect for her husband. In due time you will get your own dose of disrespect from your so called wife.

I take that you believe in witchcraft and you think that your mum cutting your child's hair has something to do with witchcraft, but a mother that gave birth to you and nurtured you until you became a successful adult did not harm you when you were tender, you think such a mother will now turn around to harm your child? Grow up.

Two wrong does not make a right. Tell your wife that she is wrong to have beaten up your mother irrespective of what your mother did and give appropriate punishment to your wife for insulting you and your mother by her action.

Your family members will not support your wife beating up their mother so if you don't handle this right and put your wife in her place you risk losing your family members if they feel that you support your wife beating up your mother.

Your wife don't like your mother coming around. Get a relative to go and take your mum and send her home.
RomanceRe: Why Do We Hate Singlle Mothers? by ogb5(m): 8:59pm On Apr 30, 2019
MrBrownJay1:
Yes, IMHO women are indeed broken when they see marriage as a do or die mission; women who view themselves as lacking because they have no men, and therefore do the unthinkable to hitch with just about any demon/donkey out there, instead of focussing in improving themselves so that they can cater for their child, without begging anyone (to have them).
You seem not to understand the problem some single mums face.

It takes money to make money. And if a single mum is in the poverty trap, without help it becomes very hard for her to improve herself so that she can cater for her child.

Almost everybody tries to improve themselves in the best way within their financial and mental capacity and when such capacity is not enough to pull them off the poverty trap then they start looking for other means of support. That's is where marital support comes in as an option.

Why should a single mum offer free sex to a boyfriend and struggle to cater for her child when she can offer the same sex in marriage and get spousal support in return?
RomanceRe: Why Do We Hate Singlle Mothers? by ogb5(m): 7:53pm On Apr 30, 2019
MrBrownJay1:
Actually, whether single father or mother, it wouldn't be a problem if women didn't view marriage as a do or die mission. So what you are single?! Live your life the best you can and to hell with what other deluded people think of you.

The problem is when these broken women believe that without a man they are nothing, thus a brain reset is needed.
People marry for several reasons. Those looking for companionship in marriage will not find such companionship being single.

Searching for a mate anytime you feel like having sex is condescending at a point.
Also in the hard economic reality facing many people being married and supporting each other is cheaper for people than being single.

And in many cases, the single mum actually need financial support from a male companion
RomanceRe: Why Do We Hate Singlle Mothers? by ogb5(m): 7:47pm On Apr 30, 2019
I don't think ladies are getting the point.

There are many ladies without extra baggage of another man's child looking for husbands. Why should a young man consider a single mother when he can easily get a girl to marry that does come with extra expense that a child from a previous relationship bring.

To compound issues, the society now frowns at polygamy so the single mothers are forced to look for unmarried men.

My advice is if you are a single mum just know that you are at a disadvantage compared to other ladies searching for husbands and wisely grab a man you fancy who looks your way or be prepared to go into polygamy.

Life is not fair to many people, being a single mum might not be your fault but a man looks for the best woman he can get when searching for a wife.

Prof. Ambrose Alli does not need any forgiveness from the dullard.

Rather Buhari needs to apologise for framing Prof. Ambrose Alli and jailing him.

The days of Buhari (1984-1985) were horrible dark days for southern politicians, who were tried multiple times until they the courts agree to jail them. Those found innocent were tried all over again multiple times until they were found guilty.

Foreign AffairsRe: BREAKING: Govt. Bans Importation Of Sheep And Goats by ogb5(m): 4:18pm On Apr 10, 2018
Yuneek:
The importation of goats and sheep has been banned by the government.

Authorities of Rwanda Tuesday announced a ban on importation of sheep, goat and their products from Burundi following reports of a viral disease outbreak.

The agriculture minister Gerardine Mukeshimana in a statement said the Peste des Petits Ruminants (PPR) that primarily affects goats and sheep has been reported in Burundi’s provinces of Gitega, Mwaro, Kirundo and Karuzi.

“Movement of livestock including sheep and goat and their products; meat, hides and fertilizers from Burundi are hereby banned,” the minister said in the statement.

She appealed to livestock farmers, traders, veterinary officers and security agencies in the country and at the border points to be vigilant.

The ministry added that the ban was based on a report about the disease outbreak that was done earlier by Burundian veterinary services and sent to the World Organisation for Animal Health.

According to the FAO, PPR, also known as sheep and goat plague, is a highly contagious animal disease affecting small ruminants.

Once introduced, the virus can infect up to 90 percent of an animal heard, and kill between 30 and 70 percent of infected animals.

Although the virus does not infect humans.

soil9:
next time you want to control weed in maize farm, use a broad spectrum herbicide like xtraforce or 3maizeforce for pre-emergence weed control. ensure you apply to moist soil for good result. guardforce or stunner can be used for post emergence control. ensure the weeds are young and actively growing. 3maizeforce gives you season long control and you may not need a post emergence control subsequently in the season. I am a technical sales representative with jubaili agrotec, manufacturers of products such as paraeforce, Atraforce, ddforce, e.t.c. you can reach via email at technical.abuja@jubailiagrotec.com
What is the active ingredients in these herbicides

your advice here is not far from the truth. however, always consult a technical officers or sales agronomists of any of the big agrochemical companies like jubaili, saro, candel, wacot and African Agro. they provide free agronomic advice on the safe and effective use of their respective products. they are not pressured into meeting sales targets like ordinary salesmen. they conduct on-farm demonstrations, and collaborate with research institutes such as IITA, ICRISAT, IFDC, CIAT, ICARDA, IAR&T e.t.c. farmers should always ensure they read the labels on the products they purchase.
This is very good advice

Your post is confusing.

Are you looking for people who have trucks and want to join you in transporting tomatoes?
Or are you looking for people who will join you in buying tomatoes at cheap prices and then transport to other parts of the country?

Your phrase " at relatively cheap prices " in your statement is making your statement to be confusing.

AgricultureRe: Why Is The Agribusiness Sector So Lucrative and Yet So Prone to Risks !! by ogb5(m):
saliubello:
Agribusiness Risk Assessment

Agribusiness is VERY profitable SIGNIFICANTLY. But then all business have risk factors. Same goes for agribusiness.

The Agribusiness with the highest risk factor is dependent upon what enterprise you engage in and what stage your business is in.

Identifying and assessing the POTENTIAL risk is critical to success.

Potential risk areas are:
1. Production
2. Market and Marketing
3. Human resource
4. Financial risk

Risks are factors that can cause losses to the business.

E.g
Low rainfall
Changes in market prices
Disease outbreak
Decision on where to site your venture
Decision on types of input go buy and use

Managing risk is a guarantee for success as IT ALLOWS THE FARMER TO EFFECTIVELY MINIMIZE the effects on his business.

RISK MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES

a.Market price information: Internet resources come in handy here. ICT has bridged the dearth of information gap. From your phone you could access information on areas where your commodities is needed, meet new buyers and price information sharing.

b. Production diversification : Diversifying your production base in view of available information.

E.g trying your hands on soybean if you predominantly grow maize.

Or growing Ewedu alongside your tomatoe

Or intercultivate cocoyam with plantain, introduce some Snails and your risk factors of failure is reduced greatly.

Or plant perennial crops like cocoa or kolanut or cashew while doing vegetables on the same land. If vegetables fail, your trees will hold forth for you.

C. Risk reduction input: Invest in hybrid seeds which are resistant to diseases prevalent in your area. It saves you stress and worries, but don't do it in large quantities. Try out in little quantities before scaling out.
Buy new R&grin herbicide's and pesticides. The old and banned agro inputs are now failing us. Glyphosate based herbicide is a banned herbicide worldwide. You can't export produce produced using them. They have long term residual effects on crops and animals.

D. Invest in low risk activities: Grow crops you have comparable advantage growing in your area.

Are you COMPETITIVE growing water melon in your area?
Are you competitive growing vegetables or low risk crops like plantain or cassava?
