Till today, Obi appeared to be a political prostitute by leaving APGA unceremoniously to join PDP and to leave PDP to join LP. He should have gone back to APGA and not waste the efforts of Ojukwu. Or form his party. He sneaked into LP. Now, they are having series of issues from leadership to Doyin Okupe issue, Obi's late submission of form, he joined when LP has chosen a candidate etc. Even GRV of Lagos too has dispute on his emergence. So how are they different from PDAPC?
This isn't to rule him out or condemn him. Absolutely not. He has his good sides, he's brilliant too and a material for the future. He joined the race so late and the way LP was carried as Igbo party is alarming. They also played into APC's hands and those ones labeled them everything they should have rejected. No be only Obi visited religious houses but his own was the most publicised. They are now using it to blackmail him if I may use that word.
Lessons are, LP should get their house 🏠 in order. All Nigerians are Obidients. Not cos of Peter Obi but cos nobody want bad governance. Mutual collabo and wisdom is needed to forge ahead. I have zero believe in Obi. Soyinka probably didn't scrutinize Obi enough.
I know quite a lot about Obi modus operandi and governance, based on history, Slovfo.

ON GOVERNANCE (During his tenure)
-Doctors were on strike for 13 months.
-ASUU lecturers of Anambra University went on strike for 6 months.
-His investment of state's revenue in a beverage businesses that proved bad down the line.
-Poor infrastructure establishment marred his tenure but he is subjected to forgiveness as most governors of the time failed the test, as well.
-His turn over of the states revenue by the end of his 8-year tenure is either insignificant or too small, compared to other state.
-His successors also point debts his office accrued.
-The sheer tendency that comes with his false stats and figures, and the ensuing temerity.
-I will deliberately ignore his row and allegations with the popular "Pandora papers" claims, because he's managed to legally dodge it, so far.

To be fair, all these culminate in ineptitude. He was also briefly impeached, suggesting failure in a bid to put his cabinet in order.

ON MODUS OPERANDI
On the other hand, I hate how his campaign strategized on weaponizing religion apparition, especially as he attempted to us Yoruba into two heated Muslim and Christian divisive groups - an attempt capable of ravishing the peace and religious tolerance eternally enjoyed by my people.
His hypocrisy is also topnotch, as previously seen in case of the Sophia Gimba, although it's a core CV part of Nigerian politicians, generally

I prefer to spend time and money on my parents than give birth to children to do so, because with my parents I am aware of the sacrifices they made, how it benefited and still benefits me today, and I am more than happy to reciprocate their care, do good and do right by them.

With a child or children........that's just a gamble with no guarantee of returns on investment and a risk I am not willing to take. Make I spend my money on the good humans who already exist as my family and friends, at least these relationships are mutually beneficial in real time, not heavily one sided and there's no waiting for years to reap the benefits as it is with children.

Modified to add: As far as I am concerned marriage and children are life choices, not mandatory goals or achievements, we all have to meet, in order to unlock happiness or the adult phase of our lives. Like now, I don't like it that Nigerians follow people like Tinubu, Atiku , Obi and company, and I think the system is corrupt , and I think Nigerians don;t want to wake up and start doing the right thing....and in this election that meant telling Tinubu, Obi , Atiku and Kwakwaso, and Wike to go and sit down, and voting for other parties...to upset the system...but most Nigerians have shown where their hearts lie.....but it does not mean I would support a coup....because at the end, it amounts to me forcing Nigerians to follow my views, and that is worse than anything Buhari, Tinubu, Atiku or Obi or even Wike are doing now.

The truth is, Nzeogwu failed not because he was wrong, because he misunderstood Nigerians. Nigerians vote not for good governance, but for things like patronage, loot, and hope that the big man on top is someone close to their tribe. And what he saw as clearing the house of the corrupt...and the first republic was corrupt....people saw as removing their benefactors, and cutting their chance a at getting a share of the national cake. Result...civil war that led to millions dead.

I don't like the current system, but until I am ready to get my lazy ass and convince Nigerians, and be prepared for them to laugh and abuse me, and even after that come back and try some more, till people listen, and then we can go and change things......coup is wrong. Nzeogwu committed treason, and we live with the effects of what he did on January 15 1966 to this day.
