Politics / Re: ''I Am Solidly Behind Buhari Over Onnoghen’s Suspension''- Governor El-rufai by ogbeifuncletus(m): 8:47am On Feb 01, 2019
BigND:
You people are playing with fire
It is most unfortunate that you allow partisan sympathies to becloud your sense of reasoning. Very sad. This action may have consequences no one can predict now.
History shows that all the great conflicts and conflagrations which consumed countries and societies started with little incidents like this. The Nigerian Civil War in which millions perished started “like play, like play” as they say on the streets.
What Buhari has done is a coup in that he has suspended the Constitution and usurped the powers of the two other arms of Government thus desecrating and violating the principle of separation of powers. He has usurped the powers of the Judiciary in removing a CJN (NJC) and the powers of the Legislature (2/3rds majority vote). The Constitution was framed in such a way that no one arm can interfere in the other arm without at least one of the other arms being involved for balance and to avoid treachery. That is why to remove the President, the other two arms are involved; to remove the CJN, the other two arms are involved.
Currently, there are several suits pending at the Federal High Court against Buhari over failure to include any proof of any qualification in his Nomination Form sent to INEC. Note: the issue is that he did not include any proof at all: no proof that he attended Primary school, secondary school, Military academies, Military courses, etc.; Nothing at all. So the argument is not about whether what he has is equivalent to school Certificate or not as people have been arguing all over the place because there is NOTHING to consider at all.
My real point however is: BY THIS PRECEDENT OF REMOVING CJN THROUGH EXPARTE ORDER, SHOULD ANY OF THESE COURTS HEARING BUHARI CERTIFICATE CASES ALSO SUSPEND HIM FROM OFFICE AND SWEAR IN THE VICE-PRESIDENT BY EXPARTE ORDER PENDING WHEN HIS CERTIFICATE CASE WILL BE CONCLUDED??
We are clapping for a big Monster rearing it’s ugly head because of politics. When this one succeeds, Senate President and House Speaker will also be removed through Exparte Order, Governors will be removed through Exparte Order and then we would have descended into full blown dictatorship;
It will be too late and Nigeria will burn.
WHEN THE RAIN FALLS; IT WILL NOT FALL ON ONE MAN’S HOUSETOP

Those supporting Buhari should take note. Cos they are bunch of hypocrites.

A man of integrity, suspends the constitution because of personal ambition and you tell me he is fighting corruption. No he is not! He is fighting his political opponents.

Mind I don't support the action of the CJN, BUT follow due process, cos this is a democracy not a dictatorship.
Politics / Re: Onnoghen Residence Under Siege By Security by ogbeifuncletus(m): 1:49pm On Jan 26, 2019
It's amazing how Nigerians think! Firstly, Onnoghen is wrong by not declaring his complete asset, but the way the federal government is going about it is constitutionally wrong too.

Remember, two wrongs don't make a right.
The consequences of this behave if uncheck will be devastating especially if he wins.

So I expect every right thinking Nigerian, whether you a Buhari lover or not to stand against this, because this is how dictatorships usually begins.

This is my humble opinion,

Both parties are right in their own ways, that is Blogabiz and Terry. But you both left out an important aspect of life and business, which is the human factor.

As a Financial Planner with Leadway Assurance, I have come across people like Mr Blogabiz who have one grievance or the other against insurance companies. But upon closer scrutiny, you'll find that it might have been a case of misrepresentation or carelessness of the marketer.

In all insurance, is great. So my advice to you would be to investigate any policy and company, you wish to take out an insurance with, and be fastidious with your records.

If any of you have an issue with an insurance company, you can contact me for help and advice on the best way to resolve it. Just remember that things like this are bound to happen from time to time that's why we have regulators and arbitrators.

Two things make a great networking business.

1. A lot of the so called networking businesses that we have today don't have a product that they can point to and say, this is the value we are offering people.
In Wealth Generators, you get 7 fantastic products

I have often heard of people who complain about one Insurance company or the other, some say that they lost their money or they were not paid their claims.

If you have any of such issues let me know here. I might be able to help.
Investment / Re: Annuity Versus Programmed Withdrawal by ogbeifuncletus(m): 5:29pm On Jun 20, 2017
That is true. But with the kind of regulations that we have in place in Nigeria now, i don't think any Insurance company would want to face that music.
Rudaiya:
Before buying a life insurance always look at the claim payment performance of the company. .because if any unforeseen incident happens then u'll not want ur loved ones (nominee) to face different kinds of problems to receive the due amount.
Investment / What They Don't Tell You About Insurance by ogbeifuncletus(m): 11:52pm On Jun 19, 2017
According to wikipedia "Insurance is a means of protection from financial loss. It is a form of risk management primarily used to hedge against the risk of a contingent, uncertain loss." But in a layman's language, it is the transfer of a risk/potential or uncertain loss from the insured(the person who has the risk) to the Insurer(the company underwriting the risk) for a fee.
But one legal aspect of it which is often left out of the contract signing is uberrimae fidei which is the latin for "utmost good faith". This is the governing principle behind all insurance contract. It requires that all parties to an insurance contract must deal in good faith, making a full declaration of all material facts in the insurance proposal. This is what draws the line between real claims and insurance fraud.
Therefore, the insured must reveal the exact nature and potential of the risks that he transfers to the insurer (which may, in turn, be sold onto a reinsurer), while at the same time the insurer must make sure that the potential contract fits the needs of, and benefits, the insured. Where this is breached, the contract becomes void. In such cases, any claim associated with such policy will not be paid by the insurance company.
To avoid this, I advise you read through the proposal form carefully by yourself and fill it truthfully, to the best of your knowledge.

Any questions?
