Rich people does not make companies rich, the poor does. For Innoson to properly succeed, open dealerships in all states and cities with service shops, reduce SUV prices to 4-5 million Naira and sedans to 1.5 to 2 million. Give 100,000 miles warranties on your engines and see Nigerians buy your cars.
Export your cars to USA, Europe and Canada and price them $15k to $25k.
Innoson does not have to own the dealerships, give them to independent dealerships but support the warranty.

Go and make your own car.

Whenever I see a news item on Innoson, I am gladdened. I am so impressed with the progress and daring of Innoson. I have followed Innoson right from the beginning of his journey and I am in awe on how much he has improved and grown; and his modesty despite all the wealth he has made from this venture. From a small collection of cars, he started with, he has expanded to a greater variety of vehicles, like ambulances, refuse trucks etc (he is building a tractor manufacturing plant in Enugu). Innoson is deploying all the enterprenual energy and intelligence of his youth, upwards to this company. I can't wait to see more of him in the future.

Nice one. Please post more of these stories. Some of us who do not live in South Africa want to know more of the positive sides of Nigerians there, in terms of businesses, students, lecturers, sports people etc. We mostly hear about the negatives without any balance and these negatives are used to justify the xenophobic violence and lootings.

There is nothing to get emotional about. Innoson does not manufacture anything from the scratch. Most of what they do is coupling. Infact,their tricycle line is more advanced in terms of indigenous technical input than their automobile line.

I have been to their plant in Nnewi north, so it's not just hearsay.

These days, I hear they now mould vehicle frame too,so at least that is an improvement(though I reckon any decent panel beater can do the job). But nothing like "from the scratch".

They manufacture 60% of their car parts. He has the biggest plastic factory in west Africa.

Innoson is being used by the Nigerian army. Should I show you links of videos where soldiers are complaining about Innoson's vehicles?

That is because those vehicles weren't made for combat. The Nigerian army misused them. They were made for army assistant roles, not actual combat.
