Emphasis: I don't know how well you know Uyo and the location of the Boulevard. I expected you to criticise the Boulevard illustrating your facts based on the Project location. okotv: imagine, we are very funny in this country...a president launching road projects...is that not his work....what we need are good educational policies, same in the health, military and policing sectors...if not all this road projects will just get decayed and back to square oneLeave them abeg,all dis people putting the cart before the horse,d want to look developed,dnt forget beside rivers state,Akwa Ibom has one of the highest allocation,dnt forget its part of NDDC,Oil derivative,d money is there....d day our leaders put developmental strategies in place rather than building roads and such likes,is d day our industrialization is fast tracked....we shouldn't get carried away,yes he has built a boulevard or whatever,what is d purpose,is there a massive influxx of people in d state because of increased development trade,I knw some people will say,ehnn,must everything be purpose built,I am an architect by profession,I belong to the functionalist school of thought,I dnt like to be rigid as well,yet I insist,d developed nation where he "copied" dis boulevard idea from didn't just clear bush and decide to put one boulevard,circumstances and situations,which are ripple effects of strategic and vibrant developmental strides led to d development of such idea..its a pity today,all we read in our books are mostly western ideas,which are recorded events of life events,yet we still pursue them,I am nt saying we are wrong,but we must have the Nigerian experience,if you build a boulevard from Mile 2 or Ikorodu all d way to say yaba,or somewhere from apapa to oshodi,(I no too sabi places for lagos like dt,at least u get d picture),then it will a purpose built boulevard solving real life problems,then we can call it developments,I av nothing against Akpabio,I av listened to d man speak on TV and he seems to be a knowledgeable man,yet,boulevard no mean say,everybody wey dey Akwa Ibom dey smile...my two pence.. |

Casualties are unavoidable in every war. Go and look up the casualties the Russian Army suffered in the war against Chenchen freedom fighters, or their casualties in the war in Afghanistan and you will realise what i am saying, and bear in mind that the Russian Army is 100 times better equipped than our army is.Bro my respect for the Nigerian soldiers,both serving and those who have paid d ultimate price is as high mount everest,I didn't say fighting boko haram was a tea party,I didn't say it is a walk in d park,yet,boko haram might not measure up to d rebels they av fought in their peacekeeping missions,u might av missed d point I was trying to make,yet,I still stand my views and say oour men have died unjustly and carelessly,most times its nt open combat,its ambush,why ambush...its lyk d guys are sent dere to be killed. 1 Like |

Chylo: What a joke!I am telling u m brother,it baffles me,most of dis Boko Haram didn't go proper rigorous training like d soldiers did,they were all recruited haphazardly.Abt d ambush,look there are moles everywhere,even d army,under normal circumstances,boko haram doesn't av d proper intelligence to face nigerian soldiers,why do u think the Americans who came to help didn't achieve much,there efforts might have been stifled,consider this,gunmen walk into a school,kidnap a large of kids,kill some and for over 120 days,no positive news have been heard,consider it occuring in d US,u get d picture don't u....its a parody,a movie still in its credits scene,more will unfold in time to come,Nigerian soldiers didn't die dis much when they were sent to liberia,sierra leone,libya,mali,sudan etc...except d randy ones who died from HIV/AIDS,but here our soldiers have become so expendable that,when 30 soldiers lose their alives against 50 dead BHs,questns are nt asked...its a pity,I just pray,it doesn't get to where,everyman will have to stand up,take up arms and fight for his life,family and land,if it does,unless I am forced,I will gladly leave this nation with my family and go elsewhere,yes,there is no place like home,but home is what u make of it....I am so pissed off right now... 5 Likes |

Started at age 15,was home on holidays,was bored with movies and video games,saw my mom's car and decided to actualise what I av bin practicing during early morning warming,d first movement was a reverse,out of d garage, a few meters(like 15m) then back into it,my leg was shaking all over when I came out,I was actually frightened,my mom saw me and smiled and said be careful,but I wasn't allowed to drive out by myself until I was 16,it was my mom's car,so each she was goin out,I offered to go with her,just to have a chance to drive,I drove till we got to a quite busy road,then she took over,this continued till i got a break,d house was busy,mom was prepping for dad's hosting his town's people on a sunday,so I was asked if I could take my sisters to church,I was happy,it was quite a distance,but gets less busy and chaotic on sunday,on my way back,I picked up a woman who thought I was a pro,nearly ran into a taxi on d way back,d woman alighted not long after,from there,I was allowed to be goin to some places myself,by 18,I was driving alone myself,my dad got me by learners permit,after three issues,I got my driver's license at 20,was very happy,I had been driving well since I was 17 though,it took a while to gain my parent's confidence,whenever I drove my dad,he will say,don't pass 40km/h,mom will say,don't ever get to 60km/hr,but with time,they loosened up,I av bin driving now,for 9 years,haven't got my car,currently driving a hand-me down from my dad,working towards getting my first car....yet,I daresay,I get better each time,compared to my driving last year,I av gotten better,u can never be a whole driver,u get better by experience...experience makes good drivers not turning the steering and working the pedals.. 1 Like |

Lacomus: I'm not angry with you it's our government instead , they sending innocent Guys who deserve a better life to their early grave.D guys chose d life of a soldier themselves,my problem is dt the guys are poorly equipped,averagely remunerated and scarcely compensated....as per equipment provision,d situation is like giving a child a pen knife to attack an adult wielding a sword,he has little chances,I always pray for my friend for protection,what I know is dis,Nigeria's problem isn't such a complex ,our leaders make us think otherwise,compared to certain countries and civilizations around d world,Nigeria's population is easily governable,this is where d leaders exploit d people. |

Everyone is blaming driver,roads and government,I do nt absolve anyone of blame,the driver will have his fault,roads too are nt encouraging especially that strip of road,from somewhere around IBULE to ILESHA or thereabout,anyone who knws dt road will see how d road was somehow broken or had its asphalt layout somehow scrapped,because of the so called new road construction,I guess the idea was to slow drivers down,yet if u see au fast people are on dt road,yet been slow isn't necessarily the best,all men will die one day,life on this earth is nt forever,but to die like this,this hard,painful,premature,gruesome manner,this violent way,....nooo,....But they all have hope,if they died in Christ,though there mortal bodies perish,they'll live and reign with God,all those who have died are alive somewhere now,its just a transistion,the painful thing about it,is the way,manner and memories they all live behind especially for family and loved ones..and pls OP put age restriction or notice before putting such pictures up,some people are light or faint hearted. |
