Former Vice President Abubakar Atiku’s son, Aminu, who is engrossed in a fresh legal custody battle with his estranged wife, Fatima Bolori, has dragged his wife to an Igbosere High Court in Lagos, where he asked the court to upturn a magistrates’ court’s decision which awarded the custody of his two children to Fatima, as well as a N250,000 monthly upkeep.

Recall that on January 10, Magistrate Kikelomo Ayeye sitting at Tinubu on Lagos Island awarded full custody of the ex-couple’s daughter, Ameera, 11, and son, Aamir, 7, to Fatima, after Aminu failed to file a response to Fatima’s application for the children’s custody.

Aminu's counsel, Oyinkan Badejo, who filed an application to the high court seeking leave to appeal the lower court’s judgment and another application for a stay of further execution of its terms, claimed that the lower court disregarded his constitutional right of fair hearing before granting judgment in Fatima’s favour.

Badejo said, “In response to whether the applicant has shown sufficient grounds for the grant of the application, there is not more sufficient ground than the party’s right to fair hearing.

“We arrived at the magistrates’ court at 12.30 p.m., believing the matter was for mention at 1.00 p.m.”

Badejo also urged the court to vary the conditions attached to the custody order, which directed Aminu to pay his ex-wife N250,000 monthly for the upkeep of the children, beginning from January, and also carry out medical insurance on each child, among others.

“We are not seeking a stay of the execution of the judgment but some of the terms were onerous.

“We were asked to pay N250,000 for the upkeep of two young children and medical allowances. We find that rather onerous" counsel to Atiku's son concluded.

However the move was opposed by Fatima’s counsel, Mr. O. N. Olabisi and Mr. Ethel Okoh, as NAN gathered that the case was adjourned until May 17 and June 14.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Gombe Zonal office, arraigned one Maduako Ugonma Chinomso before Justice Abubakar Jauro of the Gombe State High Court, on two count charge bordering on conspiracy and obtaining money by false pretence. .

Madueke, a serving corps member posted to Kaduna and later redeployed to Akwa Ibom State, was arrested at Uyo by the #EFCC Operatives, following a petition by one Yusuf Idris of Tumfure Quarters, Gombe state.

The petitioner stated that on March 21, 2017, the defendant and the others at large conspired among themselves and obtained the sum of N63,000.00 under the false pretence that the said sum was to secure a job for him with the Nigerian Customs Service, which they never did; instead, converted same to their personal use.

Investigation revealed that a member of the syndicate, Yusuf Maarku, the acclaimed recruitment officer, gave the complainant a Union Bank Number 0053158443 bearing Maduako Ugonma Chinomso through which the said sum was deposited as form, uniform and registration fee.

Further investigation revealed that there are six different accounts in different banks with huge amount of money which the suspect operates. When the charges were read to her, she pleaded not guilty.

In view of this, the prosecution counsel, A. M. Labaran applied for a trial date. Justice Jauro while adjourning the case to Monday, April 16, 2018, for hearing of her bail application, ordered that Maduako be remanded in EFCC custody. .

The General Officer Commanding 81 Division Nigerian Army, Major General Enobong Okon Udoh on Monday 9 April 2018, paraded some impostors and criminals arrested within his Area of Responsibility in Lagos and Ogun states recently. They were paraded at the Headquarters 81 Division.

Parading the impostors and criminals on behalf of the General Officer Commanding was Brigadier General Hamisu Hassan the Chief of Staff of the Division.

As revealed by Brigadier General Hamisu, the impostors were arrested in several parts of Lagos and Ogun states by various Operation CHECKMATE Teams of 81 Division operating clandestinely, while they were carrying out their nefarious activities dressed in different types of Nigeria military uniforms, accessories and other accoutrements.

Also arrested by the indefatigueable Operation CHECKMATE Team were criminals who aided and abetted these impostors by making and supplying them with fake military ID cards and the military accoutrements donned by them to perpetrate their nefarious activities.

Some long deserted as well as dismissed personnel of the Services of Armed Forces who impersonated Service personnel of various rank categories are also among those arrested and paraded by the Division. He further revealed that the frequency of occurrence which was indeed very high about two months ago was now on the decrease since the inception of the “Special Operation CHECK MATE” launched by the General Officer Commanding on his assumption of office.

It could be recalled that these criminal impostors are constantly perpetrating criminal activities such as extortion, molestation of innocent citizens, intervening in private disputes between aggrieved parties for pecuniary gains, settlement of land disputes etcetera, which tend to portray the Nigeria Army in particular and the Nigerian Armed Forces in general to the public in bad light as they commit such criminal and illegal activities in military uniform thus giving the false impression of being bona-fide military personnel to their victims and other unsuspecting law - abiding citizens.

In so doing, these criminal impostors cause undue and unfair public opinions and outrage against the Nigerian Army by reason of criminal acts that were clearly perpetrated by them.

The Authorities of 81 Division hereby urges members of the public to always beware of imposters and to always reach out and call the numbers below whenever in doubt or whenever they see persons in uniform engaged in any form of illegality.

Naked Man Cry For Help After intimacy gadget Stuck Up His Backside At A Filling Station

A naked man has been filmed walking across a petrol station forecourt to ask for help after he got a intimacy gadget stuck up his backside.

The unnamed man went towards an ambulance at the petrol station to seek help from the crew, UK Metro reports.

It’s not known how the intimacy gadget became lodged inside him but the paramedics were quick to offer help.

You are entitle to your own opinion. To you, being addressed a Dr or Prof has to do with reading certain books. It's much more than what you can imagine. Why not attempt to ask someone you can trust, what it takes to be awarded PhD in Nigerian universities in particular. After which you will learn to appreciate whosoever that is addressed academic Dr (not MBBS kind of Dr. Lol), let alone Prof.

For your record, academics are humans like you. Hence, they are not expected to know everything. That's the reason for specialization. Unfortunately, in some instances, courses are not allocated in this direction more especially where there is shortage of academics. Nonetheless, that's not a good reason why any PhD holder shouldn't master all the courses in undergraduate programme of his/her chosen field. It's unfortunate anyway, that few are called into the respected profession.

The case of Ui medical students, you shouldn't cry more than the bereaved. Do you know how much students pay in state universities such as Adekunle Ajasin University Akugba? Abia State University, Uturu? Imo State University Owerri and the likes? Also are you aware that a junior registrar (first appointment a medical Dr gets after house job) earns somewhat around #300,000 monthly with Federal Ministry of Health? How then, do we reconcile a situation where Ui medical students will be paying sch fee of somewhat #30,000 as medical student when the per unit cost of training a medical student is much more than that. How do you want the national patrimony, the first and the best university, popularly known as Ui with the best man power you can think of to be sustained?

And must you show your ignorance for the world to see? since when has salary becomes the yardstick for determining the fee for any course of study in our universities? Are you saying that the learning environment that your so called prof enjoyed during their own time is still what we have today? My undergraduate days I was told the hostel rooms were originally designed to accommodate 2 people infact, they only made provision for 2 wardrobe s but before I left OAU in 2012 more than 8 students were staying in the same room, the bathroom and the toilet facilities were hell of a thing. So pls speak what you know and stop defending mediocrity

Some lecturer are hardened criminals who would deliberately fail their female targets knowing fully well you have to run back to them for help. No matter how brilliant you are if you failed to dance to their tune, they will frustrate the hell out of you. am talking from experience.

How far have you gone with your vaccination? if you haven't vaccinate them especially as regards Gumboro(IBV), the mortality could be very high. Viral infection has no cure in poultry you can only administer supportive drugs to boost their immunity. For the fews that are still active isolate them somewhere and administer gumboro vaccine as soon as possible but make sure they are active. gumboro attacks birds BTW the age of 3 and 6weeks with symptoms like a rapid drop in feed and water consumption, mucoid (slimy) diarrhoea with soiled vent feathers, ruffled feathers, sleeping with beak touching the floor.
