The indigenes and entire resident of otor – owhe Community in Isoko North local Government area of delta state were left with shock and disbelief when recently 70years old secretary to the palace pf the odi-ologbo of owhe kingdom chief Erobuke Alodia was caught raping a 13 years old daughter of his neighbour, Onogator-Oghene Ogbonu.

According to an authoritative family source, the victim (name withheld) a student of our ladies High school, effurun (Ughelli) was about to take her bath at about 7:30pm when her father Mr. Oghonu sent her to go and remove his undies from the sun at Alodia’s compound.
But as she set-out to deliver her father’s message , she saw chief Alodia (Also a warri based shell contractor) who has come home to spend the weekend, sitting under the orange tree in the middle of his compound taking a rest.

On sighting the girl, the chief invited her to come so that he can send her on errand. But the victim did not respond to chief’s call until she had delivered her father message and later met the chief who took her to his house. Though the girl did not sense any danger initially because, she and other of her siblings usually enter his house to watch home videos whenever he came on weekend.

But to her charging, Source learnt that chief locked the door and started undressing her with force. Her resistance not withstanding, he threatened to stab her to death if she resort to shouting and if she inform her parents.
It was at this point, that the man succeeded in stripping her naked, and defiled the young girl ceaselessly.
But as the randy chief engaged his victim in a marathon s*x his phone rang and it was the process of answering that the girl escaped from the chief, she opened the door and started shouting to alert her parents and other residents alike. Expectedly, as crowd continued to gather, the native doctor friend of the culprit popularly known as Dr. Pijo in company of his wife, visited the scene probably to make an inquiry from his friend on a the rationale behaviour behind his action.

As the situation was being brought under control by on lookers, something sinister (caused by the party to the offender) happened again to be Oghonu’s family as one Uwomano Oghuno elder brother of the victim who is a final year medical student of University of Benin, Sustained an injury in a mysterious circumstances.
Uwomano, eldest son of onogatoghene Oghonu was expressing his displeasure towards an unguarded statement made by the native doctor’s wife with a stretch of hand to her, an action that was highly trebuffed by the herbalist’s wife with a hot exchange of words after the which his hand immediately became paralyzed.
Sensing a possible mob action by the youths, the trio of chief Alodia, his herbalist friend Dr. Pijo and his wife sneaked out of the scene to their juju shrine where chief Alodia later slept till the next morning.
Having received the report of the incident from the father’s victim Mr. Oghonu, the police acting on a tip-off, apprehended chief Alodia in the front of Dr. Pijo’s shrine where he was still sleeping in the early hour.
Chief Alodia who was arrested by Otor-owhe police later transferred to Ozoro police station for further investigation was granted bail 3 days later.

According to the family source it is wrong for a man of 70 years of age to descend so low as to rape a 13 years old girl, and state denying the allegation on one hand while on the other hand, he is making a move through the Odio-Ologbo for settlement. He Must not blow hot and cold at the same time and as such he must pay dearly for it, According to investigation revealed that the man might have committed the act but only finding an escape route seeing the weight of the offence as the stained bed-spread and the doctor’s report is already with the police as exhibits.
But whether the man, inspite of its high connection, will go in for it, is another kettle of fish.

Dear Sir.

May I use this medium to express my total dismay at the way the Governor of Delta State, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan , is politically threatening Isoko People as economical slaves.



Since the govvernment came into power on may 29, 2007, nothing achievable could be seen in Isoko land, apart from the last administration of Chief James Ibori which succeeded in constructing some roads within Isoko towns and villages.

It is appalling that Uduaghan could equally increased Delta State councillors salaries to N1.5million For what? It is true that the government is the architect of political debauchery in Delta State. Even as other ethnic groups are feeling the presence of governmental development in ther area, Isoko nation is lacking behind.
I pity those politicians who voted massively for Uduaghan to assume office as governor of the state. The so-called dualisation of roads and social amenities cannot be traced to Isoko. We must not allow this political and economic marginalisation continues to generate more havoc in the land. Our so-called rubber-stamp politicians must stop deceiving the Isoko people, unless nemesis chronically awaits them.

A 32 year old man, Mr Obe Chukwunalu ( alias Hallop) from Abbi town, recently attempted to take his life when he discovered that another man was dating his lover.
Obi was said to have wept profusely like a child when he discovered that he has jolted by his girlfriend. He went to a nearby Chemist shop and bought some indocine capsule, which he took over dose in bid to terminate his own life.


When he (Obi) started receiving impart of the action he took, sympathizers rushed him to a nearby clinic in Abbi where he was revived. It was at St Mathias Clinic he open up after receiving consciousness that he took over dose of the capsules for the loss of his lover,

In a related development, there was palpable tension at Ibabu in Onicha, Ukwani community , when tow of their sons engaged themselves in a fight to finish that led to vandalisation of property. Eye witness said that one Augustine Enubuzor of Ibabu had been staying with his wife at Agbor, Only recently retired home to an embarrassment that Thomas Onyeidu of Ibabu had been having extramarital affairs with his wife.

By The discovery of the sordid adultry, Enubuzor was said to have gone on a vengeance mission to Onyeidu for a showdown and destroyed his property for sleeping with his wife.
The elder brother of Thomas Onyeidu , Mr George Onyeidu, Had to intervene by arresting Enubuzor for taking laws into his hands. The matter is charged to the Magistrate court of kwale as at press time.

I believe you understand your friend better than I do. Though, if you permit me to say "Onome could be very temperamental sometimes".

I think the best thing to do is to take a note of when she is in a very good mood and then bring up the matter before her, but do not open up to her yet. Instead, use her as an instance by asking her what her reaction would be if such an act happens, and listen to her, study her reactions and see if it is a conductive for you to tell her or not.

But, if it is not conductive at the moment, give her some space before you inform her about the matter.
