RomanceRe: I Am A Single Mum. Can I Still Find True Love? by OilSubsidy: 8:36am On Apr 07, 2012
@OP, You can. But you will have to lower your expectation like someone rightly said. The guy will probably be divorced himself or from another non-ibo tribe as it is very rare to find single ibo men marrying single mothers. Even if they want to their family will always kick against. Except you live abroad though where everything and anything goes as per marriage. Here you can find single guys married to woman with seven kids from different fathers cheesy. Of course most likely na for the papers.

Every nigerian go just switch to him church one time!!!

Telling nigerians what we already know about our huge resources and how same resources are been looted is not good enough. Help us do something practical to solve our problem. Na die we dey sooooo!

PropertiesRe: Building A Large Duplex In Enugu by OilSubsidy: 3:13pm On Feb 11, 2012
^^^^^^ Prof. Spyder, What i think this guy are saying is that you don't necessary have to own those molds yourself. They can be rented from a company that specializes in that area. All you will pay for isthe  rental money which will not be much at all. They will then deliver the molds and take them away when you are through. Economy of scale should mean they will become cheaper than producing everything yourself.

This is a very valid argument but i don't think nigeria is ready for that shift yet.

How much would it cost to build an electric border fence with high voltage electricity passing through the fence ?

1.A fence that should be about 30 feet tall and has VERY sharp spiked edges at the top and at the bottom ? and at our end of the border

2.mount 4 watch tower with 4 security officials / watchmen , THEY MUST BE FROM  NEUTRAL TRIBES OR A COALITION OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AGENTS AND NIGERIAN MILITARY MEN  (Yoruba , Igbo , Hausa , Efik / Ijaw heck if Nigerians are incompetent then we could even bring in Marines if it gets to that ) heavily armed with sniper rifles and binoculars , place this watch towers FAR away from the border yet in a strategic spot so they can still clearly view the border , This is important because mounting the watch towers close to the border would give the terrorists the chance to fire their rocket launchers at the watch towers .

3.A total of  8 watchmen  , 4 in the morning shift and the remaining 4 in the night shift WITH POWERFUL LONG RANGE SNIPER RIFLES and Binoculars mounting each of the 4 towers, THEY MUST BE FROM NEUTRAL TRIBES OR A COALITION OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY AGENTS AND NIGERIAN MILITARY MEN  (Yoruba , Igbo , Hausa , Efik / Ijaw heck if Nigerians are incompetent then we could even bring in Marines if it gets to that ).

3. Mount a light house that surveys the area day and night like the light house the coast guards at the Spanish - Moroccan borders use .

4. LOTS of Miniature CCTV hidden at strategic locations . Very little yet powerful CCTV on both sides of the border .

This wouldn't totally solve the problem BUT it would DRASTICALLY reduce the problem and if any attacks come on the Border towers / security men then we can be sure that the attack was carried out by INSIDERS / NIGERIANS

TEEGBE:
More Stories in Metro. POLICE ARE THE MAJOR PROBLEM OF OUR COUNTRY, IT IS THEIR CORRUPTION THAT HAS BROUGHT THIS TO NIGERIA angry
POLICEMEN are not Nigeria problem. Our leader rulers are the major problem we have in Nigeria. Anyday we are blessed with good leaders 90% of our problem will disappear.

Think about this, how can a senator earn hundreds of millions every year without doing anything whatsoever to deserve such money? Why would a sane president spend billions on food in one year?

While will the policeman or woman risk their life to protect anybody? for how much ehe? Will you risk your life for peanuuts of a salary? There is no committed policeman in nigeria. they just go through the motions and collect their bribe to supplent their misarable pay.

I sympatize with the dead police officers and the family they left behind. I will pray to almighty GOD everyday to punish our leaders. ALL OF DEM but especially the presidents both past and present for failing Nigerians.

Listening to our government has never done us any good in the past and i am sure will never do us any good now or in the future angry

Stop wasting your time and your 'browsing' money on these people. Not until we get people who will change the whole system of governance in place of this 'Chop-I-Chop' method, The poor will be getting poorer and the rich, richer.

NIGERIA IS DOOMED with these politicians at the helm of affairs!!!! cry

@Bluetooth, Why should I be happy when someone is shot? I am not a saddist sir. And by the way who tell you say na only yoruba dey protest? I am 100% sure you were not even at any of the rallies. Reduce ur hatred for another human being except you are a boko haram/al qeada sympatiser then it is your genetic makeup. Life is too short for hating one another.

And going by the level of tribalism i see on this forum, development is far far away from Nigeria.

PoliticsRe: Fashola Ask Jonathan To Withdraw Troops From Lagos Streets – Full Speech by OilSubsidy: 6:11pm On Jan 16, 2012
^^^^^ The same way some fools were suggesting Igbos did not take part in the protest because Lagos was mostly in the the news. Is Lagos only occupied by the yorubas?

Instead of us to embrace one another and kick tribalism to the kerb, we instead go on and on about Igbo this, Yoruba that. And we are suppose to be the future leaders.

Well Nigeria ain't getting any better soon with people of this mindset as the Next generation of leaders. POVERTY! and TRIBALISM!! all the way while our masters continue to plunder our common wealth.
PoliticsRe: Soldiers Shoot To Disperse 'occupy' Protesters In Lagos by OilSubsidy: 4:41pm On Jan 16, 2012
It's 2012 and men are already getting ready to vote come 2015. Vote for who? Another thief like all the previous ones? Am I surprised by Jonathan actions or inactions? No!
OBJ was there several years. Did he fix the refineries? No. Did he embrace corruption? Oh yes!

Maybe nigerians should just boycott voting altogether. Or at the very least let us vote for whoever will call a SNC as a criteria for our next president so we can decide our future whether we stay together or divide.

Anything short of this condition will be an exercise in futility that will keep producing the same result. POVERTY and TRIBALISM!!!

Yorubas and Hausa. What has your being past presidents done for you people if i may ask?

Nigeria is doomed whether you belief it or not. You can only delay the inevitable. Even if it takes 100 years, one day every o man will go their separate ways.

Instead of protesting against corruption and bad leadership we turn round to preach tribalism!!

Simple logic - The young, vibrant and able bodied igbos are all living outside that geo-political zone hence no protest.

And who says that it's only the yaribas that are protesting in Lagoshuh?
PoliticsRe: El Rufai Call For 400% Hike In Electricty Tariff by OilSubsidy: 4:44pm On Jan 13, 2012
FACE:
Goalpost shifting.

His stance is very hypocritical and the argument of trust is null and void. People generally do not trust government anywhere in the world, but they still allow their governments to run their countries.

We agree that the system is currupt but we cannot kick against a good policy based on a presumption of future mismanagement.

Government have promised to use the money judiciously and we can only hold them to account if they don't. I have never seen the police arrest a man because they think that he would steal a car that his neighbour is yet to buy. We need to do things in a logical order. The cart does not drive the horse, neither does the tail wag the dog.

Everyone with their own opinion; as for me I am 100% behind the government on this issue and the government must not shift from their position. If per adventure, they give in, they must under-purchace petrol and create scarcity which shoots the price up to about 170/l, let it linger for a while and then authorise the importers to deal directly with the marketers and that would effectively end the subsidy and return petrol to the correct market price. There are many ways to skin a rabbit !
O'l boy, U dey mean ooo. I belief this is what is going to happen. This goverment has mde up it's mind about subsidy and i doubt there is anything the masses can do about it.

Let the suffering continue. sad
