Emotions will flow on this thread. I feel like most Nigerians, including those that said his refinery can never work, want him to sell at a cheaper price even if the global reality made the operations expensive for him. Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that. It can only happen if the government step in to cushion the effect of the ongoing war. |
Everyone chanting except for the poor. Yet, most poor people get away with so many evil things they do. You guys need to stop this attitude of turning everything against the rich. It's disgusting. |
Which data sample do they use? I find this misleading. |
I created the plugin for my personal use until i decided to host it on WordPress. I wanted to control how my scarcity offers are managed without having to subscribe to any expensive tools/platforms that charge every month irrespective of your sales performance. Eventually, i succeeded at building the plugin. It metamorphosed from the basic link management and redirection to a more advanced plugin that handles complex redirection such as link schedule, tracking, A/B testing, traffic rotation, etc. The basic version is available on WordPress plugin directory. You can find it on the first page with this search term: autolink. You can test the feature and share your feedback. PS! One of the use cases is for setting an offer link to expire and redirect traffic to the original pricing at a specified time. Let's say i am offering a 35% discount on a package during the Black Friday promotion, i will set the link to expire when the promotion ends, then redirect all subsequent traffic to the original page or another page with another special offer. Cheers!

It appears that too much freedom affects IQ. I can see most countries with high IQ don't give excessive freedom to their citizens. I could be wrong. |
The way we call, address or name things have significant impacts in the ways people act or react in different situations. This insight can be particularly valuable when applied to our educational systems where proper identification can shape mindsets and drive better outcomes. Let me illustrate this with two scenarios. Scenario 1: Imagine you’re planning to drive from Ibadan to Lagos. You ask a colleague who just made the trip about the road, and he replies, “DANGEROUS.” Immediately, you start to weigh your options: Should you cancel the trip? Hire security? Pray? Prepare differently? Even without knowing the exact reason, that single word “DANGEROUS” triggers a shift in your mindset and you understand some of the necessary measures you need to take if you must embark on the journey. That's one scenario. Now let's look at the other one. Scenario 2: Let's say you are a 32 year old farmer, producing a variety of fruits, and you meet a pretty young lady in a park and she asks about what you do, then you respond "I produce and supply fruits in different quantities". Do you think the conversation will be as engaging as when you call yourself a farmer? Well, you can debate on that. However, I believe with the two scenarios, you should be able to understand the importance of how we call, describe or name things. Applying This to Our Education System I believe that how we name and structure academic levels in our higher education system can transform students' mindsets and the quality of their outcomes. Currently, we use levels like 100, 200, 300… or OND/HND. While this "LABELS" system seems ordinary, I believe it can affect the mindset of students in many ways, and if reimagined, it can bring about so many improvements in our education system. As it is today, a student in 300L might not even know what they are capable of doing at that stage in their career. However, if 300 level is renamed as Production Level, the students mindset might change completely. The students will understand that their responsibility at that level is to be productive. The courses and curriculum at that level will have to be aligned towards this goal — productivity. And if a student in such a level has a conversation with a stranger and the person asks about his/her education level, the stranger can easily tell what to expect from such a student. Now, let’s reimagine these levels with names that reflect purpose and responsibility. Consider this model: 100 Level reimagined as “Preparation Level”. You can think of orientation, foundational learning, and mental readiness. The students will know that they are about to get their hands dirty. 200 Level reimagined as “Experimentation Level”. You can think of practical exposure, trial and error, and hands-on learning. The students will know it's time to get their hands really dirty. 300 Level reimagined as “Production Level”. You can think of applying knowledge, creating real value, and output-driven. The students will know it is time to apply the results of their experimentation for productivity. 400 Level reimagined as “Enterprising Level”. You can think of innovation, entrepreneurship, and turning ideas into ventures. The students will know that they are not only acquiring knowledge to seek jobs but also to create jobs. 500 Level reimagined as “Regulatory Level”. You can think of mastery, standard-setting, critical thinking and oversight 600 Level reimagined as “Responsibility Level”. You can think of leadership, mentorship, and contribution to society. With this, we might have a complete change in the quality of output from our graduates. If a 300-level student knows they are in the Production Level, their expectations and performance could change dramatically. They’ll understand that they are now responsible for applying what they’ve learned to produce tangible results. Instructors can align their curriculum and assessments to reflect this new focus. With this new system, we might: Start issuing certificates at each level and make education more affordable for everyone, and Bachelor's degrees can still be awarded to those who complete the whole levels. Allow dropouts to exit with a meaningful credential and real-world competence. Shift the perception of academic progress from passive to purposeful. Imagine a society where someone who completes the Production Level is not seen as a dropout, but as a qualified, productive member of the economy. These ideas are not meant to replace what currently exists, but to add meaningful structure and purpose to the students’ journey. They can be reviewed, improved, and implemented by the appropriate education bodies to help reshape the future of learning. michroskrve:It's a way for them to justify their miserable condition. When such situation happened in Nigeria, their propaganda is that politicians are the ones who released them. Low life people. |
I found this video on Facebook and i feel worried. May the young champ find rest. https://web.facebook.com/share/v/16L8H9LKRf/ |
Berankis:They are proving a point – an average Nigerian derives pleasure in other people's misfortune. As little as the challenge is, the challenger has passed a very important message that can benefit the entire country. However, they are waiting for him to deport himself so that they can feel fulfilled. |
He did so well, and the point has been made. The negativity in many of the responses here speaks loud – and proved that an average Nigerian rejoices on other people's misfortune. They can't even comprehend that the challenger wasn't doing it for himself. He should deport himself for a challenge that was supposed to be based on FOUR tests rather than TWO? No. You people need to purge the evil in your system. |
ONDO state has been compromised. I suspect deeper engagement of internal machineries in all of this. Too bad. |

PeterObi4Presid:You are wasting your time. With his character you can tell that he could join his mother to beat his dad. He might not even be the man's biological son. Simple wisdom he took anger. If he later got to know the story behind his existence he will be looking for sniper. A good woman who wants their husband to live long knows that when she's above 50, she won't be able to meet his sexual desire again. But here is a RUDE son lambasting his dad. Anyway, the paternity seems questionable. |
OboOlora:How long it takes is not the issue here. And by the way, in my former house there are times we turn on pumping machine and hoping it will fill the tank quickly only to discover that the water is not coming up at all and need to be primed. Don't drag away from the main issue. Criminal behavior should not be encouraged. If i tell you i had similar experience you won't believe either. |
melakes:I really can't say in this regards. |
JASONjnr:I didn't plant banana for spiritual reasons. But i have plantain, coconut, almond, sugarcane, lemon, pepper, okro, and vegetable in my compound. |
SmellingAnus:Definitely it is Fubara. Which is politically right. However, i am tired of people not wanting to accept the fact that godfatherism cannot be eliminated in politics. Rather it could be reduced. |
I thought Rivers people don't a$$lick any politician. Why would saint Fubara impose any political party on the LG chairs? Why not focus on his roles and let the chairs follow their desired party? Has he become an emperor? |
tomoregie:I can't remember everything off hand but seems correct. However, you didn't list structural, electrical and mechanical drawings. Probably covered in the architectural drawing. |
This is one of the things we are supposed to raise massive protest for. We will get massive support and reformation will definitely follow. But then... |
When it comes to the discussion about the real people and agencies we should be protesting against, we laugh. We catch cruise. And we make fun of it. Yet, these are constitutionally founded agencies that drain our resources. The success of ENDSARS protest was because it was not an attack on the president but on one of the government agencies that is making life miserable for the average citizens. We the citizens have to know who our real enemies are, and face them. People in NNPC act like evils that never want anything to work in the country. |
WikeTheDrunk:Did you mean the state government will collect the money if the federal government release local government allocation directly to the local government? |

talk2hb1:People under influence of substances can do anything even if they have more than that. |
talk2hb1:Everything is not about poverty. More so, this doesn't relate to hopelessness in any way. People who could pay 45k for a room per night at their age are not hopeless. This is just a case of uneducated teenagers who seem to be acting under influence of substance abuse without knowing the implication of their action. Uneducated people think everything is cruise. |
pastie:Done! |
fidelmarshal199:If i have to say it, I'll say from bottom to top. An average Nigerian is already terrible before having access to power or affluence. |
money121:Thank you Sir! Though roofing sheets won't stress me much because i'm going for hidden roof, but then other materials choke! |
Not the best time for me to look at the old prices. Make i no go discourage myself. No going back! |
