Well we thank God it has been approved. I suggest your petitioner calls the NVC guys. That was what my petitioner did even though mine was K1 Visa and not CR1/IR1 Visa.

okay, I will tell her that. But it was approved on 31st May as it is written on the approval notice they sent and was asked to contact them after 30 days if we didn’t hear from them (NVC)

Good one dear. You're right with regards to all the information you have provided so far. However, the petition actually gets approved between 3 to 9 months depends on the state where your petition was filed. Mine got approved within 3 months. A friend also had his approved with 6 months cos he filed through New York. If you file through states that have less petition such as Texas, it's usually very fast. And since visa is always available for Immediate relatives, there's no waiting time allocated to their priority date.

mine took 12 months to be approved and sent to NVC. Still waiting for it to get to NVC and be notified.

No they don't unless you are already in the US and doing the AOS process. If you're doing the IR visa process in Nigeria, only the beneficiary gets interviewed at the Embassy, however, the petitioner will have to submit several documents at the NVC stage before the interview can be scheduled

Good morning everyone. My i130(Alien Relative) has been approved and sent to NVC as we got Notice of Action about it which was sent to us on the 31st of May.
In the Notice of Action it state that we should allow minimum of 30 days before contacting the NVC.

Pls, I want to know when I will get a case number.

And can I go ahead and get a Police Record now ?

I don’t know what to do as I wait for NVC to contact me/us.
