When I look at stocks like updc, oando, ftn cocoa etc and look back at Transcorp,I feel like crying.

Imagine buying oando at 2.98 last month and sold it due to no movement in price after 2 weeks.

This life no balance at all
Stock will teach one how to be patient, that's the game of the business. Now what I use to estimate is the fact that no other stress free investment will give me at least 20% to 50% profit within 6 months so I work based on that. The idea that a share is not a lost until I sell is now my slogan.

I learnt this a hard way all through last year with nestle, neimeth and intbrew where I sold without being patient. However with 600k gone out of my small 4m units ftncocoa lesson is now learnt

Okay. With the increasing price of cooking gas (24k per 50kg cylinder as at yesterday), up from 15k about 3 months ago and the likely increase in PMS price in the coming months, a total switch to alternative energy for more needs, locomotion/mobility and cooking included, seems a reasonable choice.

The one about locomotion is another big topic for another day, but I hope to include induction cookers as part of the appliances on solar, to be used majorly in the afternoons/towards evenings of course.

There is a dedicated, currently redundant, inactive 24v system made up of 1.8kw panel, 1.2kva 24v PSW inverter, two 60 amp MPPT and 120ah LFP. There is also an active system with similar specs but a 2kw inverter in place of 1.2kw and in place of 120ah, there is a 200ah LFP that handles two deep freezers and a small fridge, with occasional photocopier.

Meanwhile my plan is to upgrade any existing 24v system to 48v system if and when it becomes necessary to include more loads beyond what currently obtains on the active system(s).

Another option I considered was to perhaps keep the active 24v system running and then make a new 48v system a mainstream supply to the house. It will supply some appliances and also charge, thru AC chargers, the compartmentalized 12v and 24v systems during the daytime.

I feel I should upgrade the redundant 24v system components to 48v. Besides changing the inverter to 48v and getting a 48v LFP pack (I could do series connection if I'm able to get similar 24v from the same supplier), what other additions would I require to run an induction cooker efficiently? The cooker will have two burners and I hope energy efficient ones are already in the market (not sure) that will make things easier.
You should confirm if your BMS can run series as most BMS don't do that. I use a burner cooker and another single burner cooker both powered on without issues. Though my inverter is the 8kw Deye but any 3kw inverter with X2 surge should do. Ofcourse I have no idea of your cumulative load but only focus on the cooker load which I guess will not be up to 2kw (using my dual face as reference)

I only see OANDO in full bid. Besides, nothing unusual/bullish about the market. It's just a few stocks responding to good results or company's news.
You didn't see BOCGAS, ftncocoa is getting there as well but yes noting usual. Full offer for nestle caught my attention though

He could easily set up a low voltage disconnect that would disconnect and reconnect AC loads at various battery voltages using many of the devices available on AliExpress or using a BMV.

No need for a whole new inverter if the current one satisfies. Besides most cheap Axpert and Mustpower type inverter LVDs max out at 48v anyways which is usually not suitable for 16s cells and ditto for 8s and 4s arrangements.
I think the LVD can be manageable as you've stated. The charging voltage and algorithm is what can be a problem especially if it's not programmable. So there is a chance that he won't be getting full capacity as the inverter may not charge efficiency due to too high bulk voltage, or float bug or both

Make my good no go turn bad

Luminous 1.5KVA
Schneider Electric 1.5KVA
GSR 1.6KVA
Farmicare 2.5KVA
Not sure any have mppt CC

The Mirotek and Mercury I am not really sure
Not famicare please, the looks of that inverter alone eh..... grin I will go Schneider

Very true.I thought of that too but he might need to change his inverter if he decides to go Lifepo4 because that Prag I am seeing does not have editable battery voltage charge settings.
Didn't notice that was inverter thought it was stabilizer so yes another 200k for inverter

davodyguy:
How much is Lifspo4?

We presently get at the minimum 12 hours power supply in a 24 hours day and with the inverter sending 20A per hour, that's 240AH. So if the sun shines between 8:00am till 3:00pm, I should have my 400Ah complete. Hence, I'm hoping not to get to 50% discharge state of battery
There are people selling 280Ah to 300ah locally between 75 and 85k per cell. You need 8 cells, a BMS and connection accessories. So under 850k will get you a 280Ah or 300ah bank. If you decide to import directly you may save another 100k to 200k depending on wait time (2 weeks to 4 months)
