MonkeyHunter: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/144169-dangote-seals-n528bn-loan-deal-12-banks-refinery-petrochemical-project.html
Dangote Group on Wednesday signed an agreement with a consortium of 12 Nigerian and international banks for a $3.3 billion (about N528 billion) loan to facilitate the construction of a $9 billion oil refinery, petrochemical, and fertiliser complex in Nigeria.
The deal is part of a $6.75billion debt financing arrangement to augment the equity contribution in the project by the group, which also has interests ranging from cement, to basic food processing, to oil and gas sectors of the economy.
The consortium of banks include Standard Chartered, Guaranty Trust Bank, Access Bank, Zenith Bank Plc, First Bank Nigeria Plc, Ecobank International, Fidelity Bank Plc, United Bank for Africa, Standard Bank, Diamond Bank First City Monument Bank and FirstRand Bank. I guess this should mean more money to the banks since the loan has not been paid interest still continue to increase but ofcourse a loan not paid can also mean bad news for the banks in the long run |

Dam5reey: I charge my cell to 27.2V 8s at 3.4V, my cell still get to 99.1% so float bug is not a problem actually..
Charge voltage 27.4V and Floating 27.2V 3.4V is a good voltage to be as nominal is 3.2V 27.4v bulk works for me as well. However some users who have a large bank and are solely dependent on sunlight will want to maximise the few sun hours for charging hence bulk of 27.4v may not do the trick. I float at 27v (talking 24v setup), I am not a fan of charging at voltage above 3.45 consistently but some do it out of circumstances which is understandable. So within27.4/27.4 float and bulk for 24v system is what I will do to avoid float bug but not always practical based on the reason I stated above. |

saint2ace: Since he's looking at lifepo4, won't setting bulk and float at same value take care of the bolded? That will mean leaving the cells at high voltage since your bulk voltage will be expected to be high. For a battery bank that discharges daily the impact may be negligible otherwise it could have long term impact |

spartacus11: thanks for your submission, my plan is to get 24v Lifepo4, and the said inverter , but i need inverter that is budget friendly but durable, since i will be spending more on battery. Go for Growatt or any of the axperts though you might have the float bug with those. |

What's your take on these choices.
WhatsApp 08120677809 I use an RDX 09 and your budget should fit(worse case 200k max addition) especially if you are buying directly yourself. |

desiji: I am going all out installing 8ooow of panels so that my pylontechs can be in a short while be filled and also started my homeassistant Journey to smarten up the whole process to automate everything So from the 8kw array you got 3kw hervest on cloudy day.....not bad. The max still has the float bug unfortunately.....one of the reasons I went Deye. Since you are using pylon I guess you should be good. |

ElRazur: Alagba please where you got your Deye hybrid inverter? I am reading about it and I am getting intrigued about it.
The 10kw 3 phase version looks good but can't find a seller in naija yet. I may eventually have to order from China. . . .
Any recommendations? Got mine direct from manufacturer but there are now at least 2 sellers that has the 5 and 8kw locally that I know and one of the sellers is selling at very reasonable price (compared to buying direct). Though single phase, no idea if he has 3 phase. Reach me for backyard for contact |

microgiant: You are using 8kw Deye, what is the rational of you recommending 5kw considering the loads he listed? or is he expected to buy the 5kw as a learning curve and later he will be advised to buy the 8kw version? If he can afford 8kw no problem my load is more than the load he listed, the other difference is that I don't have all of them on for 15hrs.. I may have most of my load on for an hour or till when their auto switches triggers based on battery SOC. So yes a 8kw will be good for him and he will still need an external CC anyway to address the remaining 10kw solar array deficit. Edit: Attached is my peak for today and you can see my load is almost 5kw(4957w), that is without madam doing her thing with the electric cookers

smallsmall: Does it have to be External CC? What the Inverter came with a CC, will that pose any problem?
But l still want to understand the relationship between the SIZE of the Inverter and size of the installed Panels. At what point does the Panels become too much/overload for an Inverter? How does one size Panels properly for an Inverter, for maximum efficiency?
Thanks to anyone who can clear this up for me. The 5kw hybrid inverter that was recommended was done based on his load and it can do 6.5kw of solar panel array, since his needs are more than that he needs to get external charge controller to balance up. |

smallsmall: Waoh! Brilliant analysis. If l may ask: why would the 5KVA Inverter be able to carry a 20KW set of Panels? Is there no limit to the Inverter/Array watages? How would that work on a Sunny day? You missed one more line: You will need external CC as well |

ElRazur: Good morning guys
Abeg, please spec me or give quotation of what I will need to run the following for more than 15 hours - 20 hours daily. 2 X Aircon 1.5Hp. TV and stereo system. Security CCTV system 1 X Fridge or Deep freezer (medium sized) Lights round the property.
I have also been looking at hybrid inverters, which ones should I have on my list that is first time user friendly and easy to use.
Finally, based on the set up, will I be able to use generator to supplement and charge the batteries due to poor power supply? Thank you all. First you need to provide actual power ratings on those gadgets but with assumptions: 2 X Aircon 1.5Hp. : 1.5kw X 2 TV and stereo system. : 300w Security CCTV system: 300w 1 X Fridge or Deep freezer (medium sized): 100w Lights round the property: 200w Total: 3.9kw For 48v system that's 81AH For 15hr that's 81x15= 1218AH So you need the following: 5kw inverter such as Deye You will need external CC as well 1400AH LFP or 2800AH lead acid 20kw panel array. All the best when you figure out the cost. |

I noticed this when the charge controller is charging at current beyond 25-30A. If it trips off then it's doing it's job unless you are saying it's tripping off at the current it's not rated for |
