futurenix: Not sure Batteryless is the right description if it's the one I know. They are hybrid inverters than can be used without battery just incase you can't afford batteries at the time but you will only enjoy electricity as long as the sun is up there.
If u eventually refill ur pocket, you can buy ur qty of batteries and connect to it for storage and its usage after sundown.
Except the one referred to is not this type anyway. Batteryless is a feature on the inverter and they are usually high PV hybrid inverters |

IYGEAL: That's why I'm trying to get an appropriate SSC as I learnt some have that capability - an MPPT, preferably. If you have 2 of them and can put in series to form 24v then you can try certain MPP variants GK or the new PIP Max as they charge up to 33v |

mank1234: Mppsolar introduces new axpert MAX inverter (7.2kW 48V and 3.6kW 24V): WiFi monitoring instead of bluetooth. Retains features of GK in addition to paralleling kit built in (up to 6 units). 7.2kW is with 2 - 4kw mppt Cc (8kW) and retails for $930. Goodnews to those who have been yarning for parallel support on the GK. A 15w increase in no load consumption for the 3kva but with an increased capacity is a good trade off. Only if they introduced a generic Lithium charging profile would have made this a big deal for me....the timer charging is an interesting feature though. That said, men the 48v option is a beast! and it also has a lower MPPT range starting from 80v, that's so cool. If I have a 48v deployment it will certainly be a choice inverter As usual MPP rocks!! |

Trippledots: Would make dust gather and crust on components close to it. When humid conditions arise these dusts can be substrate for water to condense on and help rust iron parts or even cause shuts.
Y'all want to be careful with such direction of airstream sir. Yeah you are right but it's more applicable to a typically dusty area, personally I resolved that a periodic maintenance to remove any little dust (once in a year or 2 years) is a better devil than having my components heat up unnecessarily. That said, the possible dust was the reason I suggested an external fan for folks whose environment is prone to significant dust and humidity. |

IYGEAL: Please house, I have a battery someone set up for me, it was made of ordinary cells (the types found in power banks and laptops). It is 16 volts. I used it with both suoer and luminous Inverters and it worked well and also lasted well.
I want to continue using this battery. Meanwhile, my problem is that it only charges very only when I charge it with AC power.
I have 4 pieces of 150W mono panels, arranged in parallel - which I normally use to charge my Amaron Quanta 200ah battery, with Raggie PWM 12V controller. This controller apparently cannot charge the 16v battery as it can only read a maximum of 14.8 (which only shows up when it has fully charged a 12v battery while the sun is blazing). For the 16v battery, even when it is dead, it still reads maximum on the controller.
I heard there are controllers which enable the user access to determine the battery voltage. I want to buy mppt controller, and I have seen Phoenix, Epever Triron series and a few others I can't recall.
I need an advice from experienced house members.
Thanks in advance. If it's possible to modify the the cells by reducing it from 16v it might be better because getting an appropriate inverter/charger will be a challenge |

Folks using MPP hybrids, you may want to flip your inverter fan to blow inwards if you've not already done so or get an external one. It keeps the system cool, better performance and with less overall fan noise |

Tvegas: Interim dividend was 30k Final dividend was 2.50. Total dividend was 2.80
Interim dividend is paid in September, Final dividend is paid in March. The information on investing is misleading then.... As it suggests that 2.80 was paid twice; in march and September

NiyiOmoIyunade: @Ojeysky - people in Naija generally buy what they see available and sellers too generally sell whatever products move well - matching circuit breaker and other devices to the intended purpose is strictly the passtime of the well informed.
Just three weeks ago or so, I was at a client's where their ATS guy (says he was Schneider trained) said that the 'circuit breaker' he had installed would protect the house from line voltage surges from the supply transformer. Of course I told him we could put this to the test as I had a variac/auto-transformer setup to generate from 150v to over 300v for my equipment calibration (I was gonna explode a couple of incandescent bulbs with voltage above 280v)
He quickly back tracked and later put an SPD and a AVS/AVR upstream of the loads.
The key parameter with a circuit breaker is to match the amps rating to your application. It is typical to size up to 125% of maximum current you expect to pass to avoid nuisance tripping. Too much headroom e.g 63A breaker used where you needed 32A and that breaker will never trip to protect the circuit except in case of severe faults e.g short circuit.
For voltage rating of a circuit breaker you need to ensure your application voltage is well within the circuit breaker's operating voltage range so if your application calls for 145v then the breaker must be rated for at least 145v - some upwards headroom at least 10% is desirable. A 250v rated breaker would work in a 145v circuit but you shouldn't use a 90v rated breaker in that same 145v circuit else it may misbehave.
Thanks a lot for the education, can only happen from a few minds such as Sir NiyiOmoIyunade Just one more thing as I have not been able to find a 250v locally either does it mean it's still fine if I get 500v with an appropriate current rating? |

kiekie1: Wrong assumption ! Cheer's It's okay if you term a logical reasoning that way, but if you care to educate, then you may want to explain why low VDC users would go for high voltage breakers instead of going for one that meets their CC max voltage |
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojeysky(m): 9:51pm On Jul 22, 2020 |
kiekie1: Your demand isn't under general demand ! You feel voltage won't work for you but will work since under safe amps if interested tho .. Cheer's I would have thought that the lower voltage breakers will be what should be in "general demand" since many people use low VOC CC. It's strange that people will use a 500v breaker on a 145v CC |
