Politics / Re: I’ll Run For 2011 Presidential Polls, Says Ibrahaim Babangida by ojimboIV: 9:01pm On Apr 11, 2010
wannabe reporters continue to tail this madman ibb all over the country.
they should let him doodle in his little corner.
when he's ready, he should come out and state officially his intentions to contest.
then nigerians will tell him exactly what they think of him.
he has this attitude of chickening out when the chips are down.

Big B1:

Someone said the only way IBB will not win is if Goddluck decides not to support him.
This a very funny and at the same time a foolish statement.

Why do you think Yaradua isn't stepping down?
Answer:
One of the reasons is, the man wants to be a major part of picking his replacement.and he's determined to accomplish this goal

I have nothing against Goodluck, but let us all keep in mind that he's still an acting president; hence, let us all allow him to keep on acting. When the time is right or when it counts the most President Yaradua will re-appear.

Points:
The next president must come from the north, the entire north supports IBB, USA and UK have also shown their indirect support, the entire big wigs in the country support IBB and I also support IBB.

If you take a good look at our political structure in this country, our people and the country as a nation, you will realize that our problems in Nigeria are very simple to identify and solving them is also easy as long as we elect an individual with experience, wealth and has a lot to lose if things aren't done correctly.
I think this is the best time for us, Nigeria to get the best of IBB.
It is clearly obvious that he's smart, his ideas are incredible, he has the support of the back bones of this nation, he has the complete respect of every single politician in this country, he clearly knows how to pick the best team and get things done effectively/ efficiently.

It is a matter of time,IBB will recapture this nation. And things will be done correctly this time around.

Nigeria will be back at the top soon.

excuse me o. big b1
this same ibb you are praising here had 8YRS to do all these and FAILED

if dog bite you once maybe the dog dey crase, but if that same dog bite you twice then na you dey crase.
so no more 8yrs for the ibb. QED.

kosovo:

IBB is the Best man for true Federalism and Democracy, WE MUST SUPPORT HIM TO MOVE THE NATION FORWARD. . .

i'm guessing you mean forward in reverse.
this same ibb you're canvassing for had 8yrs to make a mark. he had his chance and BLEW it. i'm sorry we don't want another 8yrs instalment. how he's managed to drum up support is beyond my comprehension. maybe i'm just paranoid. i don't know. angry grin

Politics / Re: Breaking News- Yaradua Met Christian Leaders On Monday by ojimboIV: 10:51pm On Apr 05, 2010
Yar'Adua's inner circle of aides, led by his wife Turai, have started to allow select groups of guests to meet with the president, who remains too sick to govern

next in line i'm guessing will be 1 babalawo. 1 dibia, and 1 iyanifa.

sammyzacks:

It was the same Yaradua that was supposed to attend Jumat the other day. Why has the Imam dragged himself into politics?

If the Imam truly met Yaradua, why must he talk to the press about it?Should not it be a confidential visit? Imams are not politicians, but this Imam has soiled himself in dirty political issues. How much was he paid by Turai to speak to the press? If we are to here about Yaradua's condition , it should come from a Gov personnel not an Imam.

The Chief Imam told Daily trust that he and the three others had sought to see the President only to pray for his full recovery so that he can resume office soonest. What is the craze about returning to office. If we pray for Yaradua's recovery, it is for him to get better and not for him to resume work. His life should be more important to him than the presidency.

Chief Imam, please stop allowing Turai to use you for her selfish ambitions.

on point.

@ndu_chucks.

"there is no smoke without fire".
"a stitch in time saves nine".
i'm sure these adages sound true where you come from.

pointers to why the 'gravely ill' yar'adua is part of all this.
1. he's not been truthful about the true state of his health. the only official news we have about his health. up until now is kidney problem and acute pericarditis.
2. he is one that sang 'rule of law' like some top ten hit single. why couldn't he do the simple tasks the constitution required of his office? he only had to sign a document to the effect of handing power over. up until now we have no such letter.

i will be the first one to join you in saying perhaps he didn't orchestrate any of the recent events.
but you have his family and close aides telling us otherwise and giving us scripted stories.

good thing a new FEC will be inaugurated soon. they must put sentiments aside and declare as a matter of principle that yar'adua is INCAPACITATED. and let us move forward with national business. nigeria is bigger than one man and his family.

i don't have anything against the nation paying for his medical services wherever he chooses to be. but we can't afford to have wool pulled over our eyes for too long. enough is enough.
Politics / Re: 2011: I’m Consulting - IBB by ojimboIV: 5:16pm On Apr 02, 2010
no one's stopping him from consulting. it's his fundamental 'human right'. apparently he denied nigerians their's when he annulled elections in 1992.
Politics / Re: Chief Imam: I Saw Yar’adua Last Night by ojimboIV: 5:06pm On Apr 02, 2010
ndu_chucks:

Pray tell, can a gravely ill man, do all of the things you itemized above? How insensitive of you people!!

we've had analogies in earlier threads to this effect but i'll mention one. because a chauffeur has access to the only set of car keys, does not mean he should hang unto the keys when he is ill leaving the owner to feel fury of the elements when moving from A to B.
it is easy for you to point at the insensitivities of people.

things you may want to think about, though.
1. we've been lied to for too long and that is enough to lose one's trust and compassion.
2. have you ever thought of the possibility that this may turn out to be one huge ploy to keep siphoning security votes. there is evidence to this in the news.
3. why have they involved imams?
Politics / Re: Chief Imam: I Saw Yar’adua Last Night by ojimboIV: 2:03pm On Apr 02, 2010
ndu_chucks:

Why can't you people express joy and happiness for Yardy's recovery, if the story is true?  You people seem to have lost your ability to be compassionate.

Not a single one of you is offering thanks for Yardy's apparent recovery, many of you are worse than the lowest animals. If Yardy were your father, I'm sure your reaction would be different. Geez, the man is a human being first.

tell us what we don't know.
do you have any evidence to support his recovery?
all these scripted stories are pissing me off.
Politics / Re: Chief Imam: I Saw Yar’adua Last Night by ojimboIV: 12:21pm On Apr 02, 2010
i'm tired of all these distractions.
they should tell us what we don't know. aminchi has told us everything and we know he was lying through his teeth.
why have they brought the imam into this? if the intention is to whip up religious sentiments, then it will go on to show the desperation to cling on to power and they should be rest assured that it will not end nicely for them.
