I know this particular village and the house is no house of any Maurice Ibekwe. undecided

That photo looks doctored.
Anyone who knows IMO state very well knows that the picture looks more like late Hon Maurice Ibekwe's home in Okwelle that is currently being renovated.

Christianity EtcRe: Who Decreed That Christians Must Have White Weddings? by ojinime(m): 7:45am On Sep 21, 2018
The bible most times, teaches us in parables. This verse of the bible is just a parable of our Lord Jesus Christ and church! How the church (Christians) should keep themselves holy and to be rapturable when he is to come back again. Not literally a marriage between a man and woman! grin

[Lquote author=Mandynews post=71381692]In Rev. 19:7-9 the Bible says, "Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him; for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife has made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white; for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he said unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. And he said unto me, These are the true sayings of God."
Kingsmeal:
I am a 38 years old woman. I got married to my husband when I was 36. I was not really into marriage. So I was not the desperate type. Even when my family, friends, everyone was pestering me about marriage,I didn’t care cos I was happy, living my life, happy and fulfilled.

By God’s grace,I am an accomplished woman. I have a thriving career. I have a house of my own and I have a masters while I am pursuing my PHD. I gave in to marriage when I met my husband through a friend that set up the match making. My husband, let us call him John, was and still is,a real estate developer. He is a divorcee but he doesn’t have any child from his ex wife.

I grew to like him and when he proposed,I agreed to marry him. Unfortunately,I didn’t get to meet his people until our marriage ceremonies. Both of us are adults and we didn’t think it was a big deal. John is over 40 years. But soon after my wedding,my mother in-law began to show herself. It was obvious that she didn’t like me. This makes me even suspect that she was the reason behind the first marriage crashing. Even though my husband said,it crashed cos they realized that they were not compatible. They quarreled a lot until they divorced.

Well, this woman came to visit us shortly after our marriage and refused to leave even after one month. I didn’t mind but for her constant nagging. She complains that I am not a homely wife. That I love my career more than my home. She would curse me and call me names. I was horrified but I tried to keep my cool. When I told my husband,he brushed it aside and asked me to be the bigger person by ignoring the mother.

Eventually she left but anytime she calls, she insults me and says that I should be thinking of having a baby instead of focusing so much on my career. That was when I told her to mind her business and stop calling me. That didn’t go well with her and she told her son who told me I shouldn’t cut off his mom.

Well,I ignored them both until my mother in law made a statement in a text message she sent me a few months ago. After calling me useless and all sorts of name in the text, she then goes to say that if I ever have a child, she would take the child and ensure that her son drives me away. That statement made me go crazy. I called her and told her off. That caused a serious problem between me and my husband . Who as usual, instead of correcting his mom and defending me,goes the way of saying:be the bigger person….I am fed up of his behavior.

He says,in their culture,a child does not confront a parent!…I think that is BS!. His attitude is giving me serious cause of worry. Much as I would like to have a child,I have serious hesitation with bringing a child into a home like this. So,I have not been actively trying for a baby. Its been two years. Everyone is getting impatient that I am yet to be pregnant. But as for me,I am not bothered. I am not even trying to have a baby. This is not the type of home to raise a child.

My mother says I should have a child cos the child will bring peace. But with my husband’s mother’s threat,I am not so sure. Coupled with my husband’s inability to address the issue. My husband does not know that I am on protection. And I am not about to go off protection until I am sure of the situation.

But I am writing cos I need your advise. If you were in my shoes, what would you do? I would like to have a child someday cos I love children but I am not sure of the future of this marriage. Having a child in an unhappy or broken home is not my idea. My mother keeps crying every day that my ‘biological clock’ is ticking. That I am being paranoid and selfish. Of course, she is thinking of her grandchildren more than my happiness.

I am exhausted. What should I do? should I have a baby or wait?…or maybe I should even start thinking of ending this marriage?…clearly, the man I call my husband cares more about his mother than he cares about me…

FOLYKAZE:
The people you called 'dunce' actually voted for him. They did this after he joined a platform they trusted. So he won gubernatorial election with support from this platform and thinks he has to leave because he has ambition to become President. What has really changed that made him return to another platform? Shouldn't the people that voted him ask questions? The voters thumbprinted APC on the ballot paper, not Tambulwa right? So if he doesn't trust the party again, he should drop their mandate. It is as simple as that.

Deputy Governor in many states have resigned before Joining another party contrary to what their principal belongs to. We saw it play out in Kano State recently. Now explain why a State Governor who was trusted with a mandate because he belong ti a party would not resign before joining another party. As the case maybe, my argument is that electorates voted for party not candidates.

Broz this country na animal republic....backfoward to 2014 when abt 5 governors defected to APC from PDP, i hope u clamored for their resignation? undecided

PoliticsRe: Bridge Linking Anambra To Imo State - Collapsed By Heavy Truck. Photos by ojinime(m): 9:45am On May 02, 2018
As painful as this may be, this is the most truthful article a yoruba man have written about d igbos...very true

Igbos are like disease to their own selves.
They will spray money on others at weddings. Spend millions to marry a girl. Show off in luxury fleets and build exorbitant mansions in foreign.

In their own hometown, they will build second-class homes and fence it off. But the roads leading to their homes are piles of mess. They do not want the poor to benefit from their own wealth. They want to give salt and bread to the poor so as to be perpetually praised and held in high regards.

Look at their roads and bridges. Everyone cares about his personal cash. But the ogbo man is the first to contribute for any devopment in Lagos. Wherever there is no light, igbo man will move in there and personally pay for NEPA connection. The igbo man will aggitate for the construction of bridges in Lagos. They complain of traffic jam hence the government makes the moves.

Unfortunately in their own states, nothing moves. The only governor to have made major changes in the east is Sullivan who constructed roads which had been a major setback for Enugu state.

Okorocha built a statute of Zuma, a man regarded as a criminal in his own hometown. There is no agitation and no conscience at all. Funny enough people go to take selfies by these statutes of criminals.

The on-goings in Anambra is like a war of thugs. Everyone is choked up in his own pride. They want to measure up with the next person. Everyone wants to step on someone and no one wants to be stepped on. The spirit on negative competition. In all the money and boasts from Anambrarians, Anambra is still an eye-sore giving that development of the Igbos began started from there. The earliest top easterners who rose to the helms of any government position or who height of capitalism came from Anambra. They boast of it and they fail to realize that is it a curse. The very first president, first governor general, first senate president and first millionaire or billionaire all came from Anambra. But go to Anambra today, more than a half of her children are outside the state. They have invested trillions elsewhere. They cannot live in the mansions that they build in their hometown. It is like a curse. They are hugely involved in rituals and unscrupulous means of earnings. The average Anambrarian has dual-religion and is supportive of illegality.

People from Imo state have danced their waists to foolery. Imo and Abia are beautiful. They are the most beautiful of all Igbos. . But to what end? When you talk of Handicraft, Abia is grade-A. They create and they are decent. But, when the head is twisted the brain moves along with it.
People from Imo state have used their traditional to destroy themselves. The tradition and attitudes are very bad. Gossip and evil-oriented agendas have destroyed those people. They cannot move forward. Owerri is the helm of success in those places yet who wants to go to Owerri? No one!

The east is not a choice place to live for the average Igbo man. They are all seeking greener pastures elsewhere.

This bridge has been this way for years but no one cares. They will rather seek alternative route than repair a place that is not their very own plot.

Shame on the pride of igbos. It has eaten up your success.

Do not blame the government for everything. Lagos was not developed by the government, but by the people. Igbos inclusive. Igbos have developed even badagry. Today, there is not boundary between Lagos and Ogun state thanks to Igbos. Soon, there will be no border between Seme and Cotonou, thanks to Igbos.

This is Igbo through the eyes of an outsider.
