gidgiddy: Of course, who wouldnt be comfortable to have his ancestral name, that means something in his language, thrown away to replaced by a strange imposed name that means nothing.
Its part of the colonial mentality people like Nnamdi Kanu has to deal with Umuahia his home town is an artificial name given to their people by strangers(Ibeku is the original name of Umuahia town) ,have he rejected it? I repeat,If people of Obigbo are happy with their new name it is not the business of IPOB or Nnamdi Kanu to change it for them. There are many villages and towns in Igbo land that have altered their names or changed it completely. Oka town became Awka,Enugwu became Enugu,Onicha became Onitcha,Owere became Owerri,Ahaba became Asaba,Ogwu town became Awgu,Abakeleke became Abakiliki,Nkerefi became Umuchukwu etc..Why are you shedding so much tears for Obigbo and PH alone? Why are you and MNK fixated on Obigbo replacing B with Y in Obigbo? You are nothing but bunch of trouble makers and outlaws. |
Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu - It's Obigbo Not Oyigbo, It's Igweocha Not Port Harcourt by Ojiofor: 2:05pm On Nov 20, 2020 |
pazienza: Simple logic IPOB cannot understand.
Its not in place for MNK from far away Ibeku Umuahia to fight for Obiigbo or Ikwerre people. It smacks of stupidity.
Common sense is to let Obiigbo people be the ones to fight for the renaming to their town to its original name and the you can lend support to their fight. IPOB and her leadership lacks common sense and the reason they are disgrace to great Igbo nation. If Obigbo people are comfortable with the name change why drink panadol for their headache? |

We need some answers. Gone are the days when people believe mere statements. Point one IPOB member you know, he couldn't but ended up killing innocent people. Go to Onitsha, Nnewi, Abakaliki and Aba and arrest real die hard IPOB supporters if you are strong na. Nonsense. Yes those that beheaded soldiers as ordered by their supreme leader knows themselves and are on the run. They are not Igbos, they are IPOB/Biafrans. where ever Wike gra gra end him does not really matter to me,what matters to me is Igbo lives been recklessly wasted by Nnamdi Kanu and his IPOB. There were no better die hard IPOBs zombies than those in Obigbo.Their zombism and iberiberism is out of this world. They are the true worshippers of the run away saviour and conman Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. |

But even if he said that IPOB commited the offense, he would still be saying the same thing Wike said. The question is where is the evidence? Or is it just word of mouth?
Let them tell us where this incredible gun battle that took down 6 armed Soldiers occured, what are the names of the Soldiers, pictures of their bodies and how they determined it was IPOB

Ebonyi is too poor a state, whose allocation and IGR won't be enough to service their recurrent expenditures talk more of capital projects. In a society like ours , where capital projects from the federal government are located in states that align with the government at the central, Ebonyi needs as many projects as possible to join the league of developed States. NigerDeltaIgbos: This is bulsiit and you know it. I hate unreasonable propaganda! Except you will provide evidence of Igbos that wanted to build a refinery and petrochemical plant in Ohaji, Imo State and Federal government refused to give them license, if not then stop spreading fake news. Investments like this is what develops communities, states or countries and even if we had Biafra and a Nigerian company wanted to bring such huge investments, the Biafran government won't say no.
Abia State also has oil and gas in commercial quantities, I'm waiting for Igbos to go there and build similar refinery and petrochemical plant, not tomorrow when an outsider builds it there, you will start another propaganda.
Mind you that Captain Iheanacho that contested for governor under APGA in Imo State refused to build a refinery in Imo State but went to Lagos to build his own yet you want to criticize those that brought such massive investments to Imo State. Are you okay? Do you know the massive job creation and boost to Imo State economy it will lead to?
Lastly, also have it in mind that it will not stop Imo State 13% oil and gas derivation from accruing to the state since the oil will be sold to the Waltersmith refinery at the normal rate.
God bless the investors! God bless Imo State!! Don't mind them(ipobs)they are allergic to development. That is why Aba is their favourite city. |
Politics › Re: Why Osinbajo Is The Right Man To Lead Lagos Rebuilding by Ojiofor: 10:51am On Nov 16, 2020 |
TheRareGem1: Building public trust at this crucial time in Nigeria can be a Herculean task but if the government is going to get any shot at convincing the people otherwise, then Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has to be man to lead that line.
This is not the first time the VP has led the Buhari administration's agenda to build public trust.
Many might have forgotten but in 2015 shortly after the election, there was unrest in the Niger Delta and the militants were threatening to destroy pipelines and oil installations. Something needed to happen quickly.
With the urgency and peculiarity of the issue, President Buhari sent Prof. Osinbajo to the region and he did not only quell the tension there, he brought prosperity to the region.
The Ogoni Clean-Up that was a huge problem was resolved and clean up work began immediately. Then came the modular refineries. Since then, four modular refineries have become operational, employing thousands of people just like the Ogoni Clean-Up managed by HYPREP. This was only the beginning of the peacemaking journey.
As Acting President, he went to Maiduguri and the Northeast even after terrorists had threatened his life. He ensured that starving Nigerians were given food directly and that the warning of the World Food Programme was acted upon immediately.
With his own money, he built a world class tech school for children of IDPs — the NECT Learning Centre Maiduguri. He knows the power of education.
That takes me to the 50th anniversary of Biafra. Some critics have said many things about the Buhari government ignoring Biafra and all that but Osinbajo was there as Acting President to deliver a speech and also share the pains of the people.
I recall Amotekun as well. When there was tension between the AGF/Minister of Justice and Southwest governors over the legality of Amotekun, he called both parties and settled the dispute.
Osinbajo's Gosa intervention is one of the most underrated in Nigeria. The Gosa community was going to clash with the Nigerian Army over land but as fate will have it, Osinbajo's convoy drove past. He alighted from his car and spoke to the youths, he then invited them to Aso Villa for resolution.
One of the popular intervention of the VP has to be in 2017 when the DSS invaded the National Assembly. We all know that story and how it ended.
I can go on and on but Osinbajo leading Lagos rebuild gives me succour that the inherent trust gap between the government and the people will soon be completely bridged. As governor of Lagos state abi? |
