For those who don't know Helen Ukpabio See--> http://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/22/us/22beliefs.html And this ---> http://barthsnotes./2009/08/27/helens-ukpabio-tells-state-governor-to-remember-what-happened-to-saddam-hussein/ https://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2010/05/22/world/22beliefs-cnd/22beliefs-cnd-articleLarge.jpg |
dayokanu:Bros, if those children see Helen Ukpabio coming from the left and Boko Haram coming from the right, they will run towards the right as fast as their little legs can carry them. ![]() https://www.abc.net.au/reslib/200906/r387020_1806977.jpg https://i.telegraph.co.uk/multimedia/archive/01110/child_witches_460_1110340c.jpg https://www.jaguda.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/acidface-725968.jpg |
mitofag:This your reply is a terrible cop-out and an embarrassment to me personally. I demand an apology. ![]() The part in bold shows that you know what is right but you are too FOOOOLISH to admit it. If you as an ordinary unelected Nigerian believes that you should ask and find out who is responsible for non-implementation of our federal budget, How Much More the man in charge? Huh? What about the man you elected to do the exact same job you are trying to exonerate him from? Stop arguing with your people, spend your energy and time to challenge your leaders and make them accountable, That was the reason why we gave him free accommodation at Aso Rock, bought him a Jet, gave him a fat salary and gave him money and power to hire and fire!!! Stop it bro!!! Stop defending incompetent people!! |
From the Nigerian Budget office website http://www.budgetoffice.gov.ng/aboutus2.html FGN BUDGET PRESENTATIONWhat of this one? It's either GEJ is the head of the presidency and the executive or I was born with 2 Va.gin.as and 3 Di/c.k.s ![]() |
mitofag:I don't know why GEJ keeps hiring idiooooots to defend him online when I'm here and ready to work for him. Somebody call GEJ to contact Okada_man o ![]() The Budget Office of the Federation was established to provide budget function, implement budget and fiscal policies of the Federal Government of Nigeria. The Budget Office is structured into six departments - four operational departments and two service departments: Is that not part of the executive? Headed by GEJ? |
mitofag:So the executive is not responsible for budget implementation Are you sleepy? |
Interestingly, in one of the cables that accused Mallam Nasir el Rufai of being at “the center of the corruption allegations whereby the Minister of Finance Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is said to have steered contracts to her brother with the help of el-Rufai". Publications deliberately ignore that aspect of same cable where the US Embassy said:LIAR!!!! They did not remove that part, they posted and published it with their report. It's still on their website and on Wikileaks. I guess we want to start suing Wikileaks for stealing US documents now, ![]() |
Dem don share the budget finish for PDP election ![]() And these people were screaming like idiooots when Soludo and co challenged the budget in April o This country na Kalo Kalo ![]() No record of implementation? Who wan record $7,000 per vote primaries and other vote buying spending ![]() |
What's up with this Pentecostal christian support for Jonathan sef, Oritsejafor and Ukpabio especially? Is it religious or Sectional? I thought it was confirmed that GEJ is an Olumba Olumba Worshipper. no? Most Nigerian Christians I know consider Olumba Olumba to be an evil cult, so what's up with the Christian "jesus warrior" support? Nigerian Christians and Muslims are very confusing, I can't wait till the day we will wipe their stuuuupid foreign ideologies out of our land. King of Kings, Lord of Lord Olumba --> http://www.ooo-bcs.org/bcsProfile/HisHoliness.aspx Nairaland thread on GEJ/Olumba Olumba: https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-717237.0.html |
Onlytruth:I thought it was Atiku Abubakar that made threats before the elections. Or are we talking about another threat? "Those who make peaceful change impossible, will make violent change inevitable" ^ Atiku said that right? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-568997.0.html |
NINE months into the fiscal year, the Minister of Finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has stated that there is no record of implementation as far as the 2011 budget is concerned. Is this not the same 2011 budget that GEJ, Atiku, Soludo and Aganga fought over during the elections? ![]() No record of implementation? I hope Iweala can save Jonathan's ass on this one. Very incompetent bunch, these leaders. |
Na wa o What is the meaning all this now? No respect whatsoever for Nigeria, and to think their brothers are busy raping Nigerian women in Libya. |
Madam Helen "I holy pass small pikin" Ukpabio, how far with the apology nah ![]() Amadioha fire all of una wey dey take yeye foreign religion confuse and suffer my people, from Boko Haram to Ukpabio Helen Sango fire una yanches!! ![]() |
Reverend Helen "kill the winch pikin" when will you apologize for ya own wickedness nah? ![]() https://live.drjays.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/01child-witches-hammond-01.jpg Jesus said: "Let the children come unto me for theirs is the kingdom of God" Helen replied: Jesus don kolo, he too soft, abeg kill the winch pikin!! |
Rev. Helen "na me carry Jesus put for head" Ukpabio, these innocent kids are still waiting for your apology. |
Is this the same Helen Ukpabio that sactioned the torture and killing of children in Akwa Ibom? Oyinbo religion don kill my people finish. Warrashame ![]() |
@Ekt_bear, bro, abeg cut Beaf some slack please, it's not a crime to be an Ajebutta with little knowledge of local languages. Passion matters more. I can understand if he's lying about it though. Beaf, like most of the passionate folks I read on NL was probably born into a well-to-do family, grew up and went to school in the metro areas. The passion matters more, I believe. |
Kidnapping don enter Akure? Naija don finish. Are we now Colombia? |
kpogede77:This guy is obviously very angry. Na wah for Delta politics. Hmm Beaf:I really wish all you Southern politicians can stop fighting and at least seek to forge a more united front, you guys must definitely see some benefit in that. Learn from the Ijaws. I guess i'm dreaming. ![]() |
As long as we also investigate arrest and jail GEJ ( after immunity removal) Patience OBJ IBB Danjuma Buhari Anenih Odili Bankole Gbenga Daniel Chris Uba David Mark E.T.C all based on allegations against them, then this is will not solve anything major. All these criminal looters need to be punished. I hope Tinubu goes to jail and gets stripped of his money if found guilty. Same for the rest of them. May they all Witchhunt themselves to death! |
If you are using drugs, STOP! |
^ I'll read this later, I hope this is not a desperate attack on NOI by some corrupt elements o. They must prove their allegations. I don't trust either side. ![]() |
When you hear stories of marginalisation in Delta state, its usually some group of corrupt political bastards trying to make mischief (in this case, ACN).Beaf, is ACN the main opposition party in Delta? I thought it's Great Ogboru's DPP. Maybe I'm wrong ![]() |
udezue:A loose group of different "tribes" forming themselves into a powerful ethnic confederacy to push a common agenda within such a relatively short period of time is very remarkable. More remarkable is the fact that they now call themselves an Ijaw Nation with 15m people. It is remarkable in the context of Nigerian politics. 25 years ago, The Ijaw nation were not this powefull nationally, now their son is president. I raise my glass to the Ijaw Nation. May Tamuno continue to strenghten their hand. |
I don't believe "Jon-Jon" is a real name. It's probably a nickname, maybe the relatives nickname. It could still be her brother's "not well known" nickname. We don't know for sure. It does not mean she's guilty, does not mean she's not guilty. Mrs Iweala, may not be a corrupt woman and I respect her more than most of these looters in office, but as a Nigerian who has seen enough impunity and cronyism from Government officials, I will not dismiss this so easily without asking for more details. @Kobojunkie has a great point about the other allegations grouped with Okonjo's, if most of those other ones are acknowledged as real, especially the Uba, George and Ita-Giwa cases, then it is very reasonable to assume that there may be more to this one too. I guess the best way to shame these US embassy accusers and re-assure us of how different she is, is to make the details of the allegations she spoke about public for our scrutiny. I believe that is up to EFCC, ICPC, the Press and the Police of they really want to do their jobs. At least we now have FOI law. As per Okonjo going back to her WB job after the allegation in 06, I don't see how that will affect her job if the allegation Is unproven or not pursued by the Nigerian authorities, the lady just got them 12billion dollars, even if the US has information on her, it will be silly to make a public spectacle of it when the Nigerian authorities did not consider it a big deal. US and WB protects their own money not Nigeria's money. It's hard to trust these people in Abuja, they are mostly crooks and Looters. And that is a fact. |
Ok things are making more sense to me now, I saw this on the Ijaw wiki page; the Ijaw increasingly view themselves as belonging to a single coherent nation, bound together by ties of language and culture. This tendency has been encouraged in large part by what are considered to be environmental degradations that have accompanied the exploitation of oil in the Niger delta region which the Ijaw call homeThis is a very illuminating paragraph/statement. I hope the larger Nigerian population of loosely connected "tribes" and ethnic groups will take a cue from what the Ijaws have achieved for themselves in a such a relatively short period of time. I just found that Kalabaris, Okrikas and some other nation groups are considered as part of the Ijaw confederacy group. I was ignorant of that before. Are the Ogonis considered Ijaw too? I see that the Ijaws have succeeded or are succeeding at doing what Nigeria has failed to do. They have formed themselves onto one cohesive group of people around their shared culture and loose language similarities. I can imagine that the Ijaws were more a divided group of different nations and "tribes" before Nigeria was founded, but the agitation for justice and control of oil resources found in their area has brought them together. If my assertion is true, the Ijaws confederacy is probably the smartest group of people in Nigeria (politically). No wonder their son is now President. I can imagine how much influence and coded support they have with Foreign Oil companies in Nigeria. If I'm an Oil power in Nigeria today, I'll make sure I serve and protect the interests of the Ijaw over other groups, if any chaos breaks out in Nigeria, I'll want their confidence and support. I hope other ethnic groups are listening and learning instead of fighting. ![]() |
Where did this "new" statistics that placed Ijaw as the 4th largest Ethnic group in Nigeria come from? It sounds very new and unbelievable to me, can anyone provide data to back up this incredible claim? I'll look around too, but will appreciate if someone with good credible population data can help. Ijaw? 4th largest? Really? I actually assume there will be more Edos and Kanuris than Ijaws ![]() |
Olisa dey use cocaine? He wan kill another person pikin? Because he give am Job? ![]() Sad thing is that this will be resolved hush hush, then it will happen again, no sense of responsibility because zero punishment will be meted out, just like we do with corrupt politicians and big men. ![]() Na hin mates dey help dem people fight for freedom for Syria and Egypt, e dey Office dey beat defenseless junior workers ![]() Very sad. |
Wikileaks released Cables written by US government officials: Ambassadors, consuls, e.t.c . They added nothing to it. They released what they got from US State Department cables. Saharareporters posted the same cables released by Wikileaks on their website, they have not added anything new to it. Wikileaks + Saharareporters + 234next + Guardian UK + New York Times = messengers on this Cablegate matter. It's ok to be skeptical or question the judgement of US officials, but Let's not muzzle or shoot the messengers. They did not write these cables. |
I find this cable very curious. Especially the last part in bold. Maybe this why Victor Malu was so vocal against Africom and US military involvement in Africa. Not sure if it was patriotism of he was just trying to protect his interests, but I'm certain Americans will not do something that won't favor them. For those who don't know these are the key people and companies mentioned. Key persons : Victor Malu: The commander of the ECOMOG peace-keeping force in Liberia from December 1996 to April 1998, and was Chief of Army Staff (Nigeria) from May 1999 until April 2001. He has spoken out against Africom (US Africa Central Command) and what he sees as American Military adventursim in Africa. He's reportedly very "blunt, frank and fearless" by journalists http://allafrica.com/stories/200810070493.html http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Victor_Malu Howard Jeter: Former US ambassador to Nigeria Gen. Aliyu Mohammed: former National Security Advisor A career Military intelligence officer. Aliyu was a player in the coup of 27 August 1985, when Babangida replaced Buhari. In the lead-up, due to the influence he had acquired as DMI, Aliyu was placed under intense surveillance and in turn placed pressure on the coup leaders to act swiftly. With wide influence in both civilian and military circles, Aliyu played a central role in ensuring that the transition to democracy in May 1999 went smoothly. Aliyu was the National Security Advisor in the crucial period when former political office holders in the armed forces were retired in June 1999, helping Obasanjo assume control of the armed forces as a civilian President. He remained National Security Advisor during most of Obasanjo's presidency.[5] He left office to compete in the 2006 People's Democratic Party (PDP) primaries for presidential candidate, coming third. The winner, Umaru Yar'Adua, went on to be elected President. He also competed in the PDP 2011 primaries [against Goodluck Jonathan] -Wikipedia Key term: MPRI: L-3 MPRI is a division of L-3 Communications Corporation. Recognized as a leading defense company, L-3 specializes in Command, Control and Communications, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C3ISR), government services, training and simulation, and aircraft modernization and maintenance, and has the broadest base of electronic systems in the industry. L-3 is also a major provider of homeland defense products and services.-Wikipedia MPRI is a very influential US military defence corporation with connections deep into the US Military and political establishment. A lot has been wrritten about the Company L3-MPRI but this short report by the International Consortium of Investigative journalists has a good story abiut their operation in Afriac which includes the same operation mentioned in the cable. It also has a good picture of Victor Malu. --> http://projects.publicintegrity.org/bow/report.aspx?aid=151 THE CABLEThe ambassador seems so eager to have Malu Dismissed. |
kabukabu50:Young'un it's ok, I'm not fighting you. ![]() Now I see you are getting the message. I knew you'ld find a way to make me proud. ![]() I'm not sure of where you read me refer to this as a unique situation for Nigerians or dark skinned people though. You made that mistake earlier and I corrected you. Don't go back now son. ![]() Yes you are right, it's an outrage and it should be all over the news, but the fact that it's not, points to the silly and sad attitude we have towards it as a government and a people. That was my main point all along. That took a while but you got it eventually. I'm sincerely happy for you. ![]() Now, as per not heeding government warning, which government's warning did they not heed? Libya or Nigeria? and how did you expect them to do that in a conflict like that? even more affluent expatriates from richer countries relied on their government for evacuation. Are you saying they should have started walking into the Sahara desert on day 1 or Maybe jump into the sea and swim towards Italy or Malta "at all cost" (remember they are blacks) Now, do you really believe that the thousands of Nigerians in Libya got the robust assistance needed to ease their evacuation from Libya but somehow just refused to board the many ships, planes, ferries and buses we sent.? Really? Did you read the complaint and report about the over 7,000 folks we abandoned at the Tripoli Airport? Don't be callous bro, we could have done more for our people. If we don't admit our mistakes, we can't correct it. You read how other countries evacuated their citizens didn't you? Can you honestly say that Nigeria did anything close to "responsible" early on in this conflict? With three or four flights and less than 4k evacuated? |
