Hello All,

A friend applied for US visa yesterday (M1) at the Abuja Embassy, his visa was refused, at 8:30pm the school called him to congratulate him, he told the school his visa was refused and he was given the blue paper. The school administrator said that’s not true as his visa status is showing approved! The school has called US Homeland Security yesterday and they confirmed that his visa was approved. I just checked the ceac visa status check and it’s showing approved.

Hello again, I have a question. When going for the interview, do I go with just my zero balance letters or I have to include the itemized bill?

Include your itemized bill, my hospital bill was around $5000 and I got my visa approved last month.

Good morning, I know this might be a relief for someone out there as I also looked everywhere for it. We had our kids in the US on a medical visa. I went for a B1/B2 interview sometimes last week with my husband. We compiled all the documents that may be useful (receipts and zero balance) and prayed to God for favour. The interviewer did not touch on the births until we mentioned it ( this could have been a trap) and no further questions were asked about receipts. We discussed the reason for the trip and he wanted to know if my husband was sponsoring,
which he confirmed ( husband earns six figures ) and that was it. We got an approval! The only thing I know we did was prayers and faith in God.

Congratulations

1st: congratulations to your younger sister

2nd: In all sincerity, I want you to tell us approximately times what the 80% COA left was contained in your mum’s SOA *2, *3

Note: we won’t be able to tell the amount in your mum’s account since you didn’t give us the actual value of the COA.

This info will be really helpful to those that intend to go to the embassy but do not have any sort of funding.

Tuition fee for SNHU is $15k (was $30k, it got slashed by 50%)
20% scholarship
COA is $29k
Mom’s SOA was well funded (she owns a school in Abuja and Lagos )

My sister’s F1 visa was approved yesterday,

22nd November 2021
Abuja
First Timer,

Southern New Hampshire University
Business Administration and Management
She got a 20% scholarship
Msc

The VO asked to see her sponsor’s SOA (My mom) and what she does, went through each page of the SOA, and asked how long my sister has been working with Globacom.

No question about the school.

@Oke2017 and all, i am planning for my wife to give birth in California. Please i need your opinion on St francis. I have seen advise on Parkview hospital riverside, what do you suggest? Are there affordable accomodation around? Appreciate your response. Please drop suggestions.

Accommodation in Riverside is quiet expensive, I don’t know about Lynwood (St Francis) I stayed at Inglewood Blvd, you should check Airbnb though. Also regarding st Francis, hope you know the bill is low, same as Parkview hospital. A friend of mine got in 2days ago, she has requested for the full bill and was given a quote of $13,808 that’s hospital bill (vagina delivery)
Travel / Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Oke2017: 4:52pm On Mar 04, 2019
I was at the hospital in March 2018, a lady I flew with had her baby there, went to congratulate her, Parkview has low bill, lower than St Francis. But her Dr charged higher than the hospital bill. Everything she paid was about $5500 including Dr and hospital.

chumadon:
Hello everyone, am new here. My wife is planning to deliver in the USA. A friend recommended parkview hospital riverside California and doctor emeruwa to us. Was wondering If anyone here has used either the hospital or the doctor. Nothing beats first hand experience. I have also check here and can only see reference to dr mbagwu of st Francis. Pls help a brother. Thanks

Gilgil:
Anyone still with recent info on visa on arrival for baby?
I sent in an email to the address on NIS website and I am yet to get a reply.

Would appreciate support here cos we have already paid for ticket to return to Naija next week Tuesday.

If you have contacted those Birth Centers you will be informed of their policy, if there's complications Aunty na hospital you go end up .. High Risk or Not. And this birthing centre will not refund you if you're being transferred to the hospital thereby making your case an Emergency. And you know what that means. Plenty bills. So why go through all this stress?

From part 4 and 5 there are cases of visa refusal based on this.

Ruthina000:
Well, i don't think so. This is because I know some that have given birth in birthcentres. MamaOO, if I don't know I won't be saying it here.
But all well and good, let the person make her decision. It's just one of those normal questions of VO, you just have to state your intentions so far you don't have a high risk pregnancy except you're deceiving yourself.
Good morning guys.

He said he has sent change of intent letter. when they got there it was same "You are a liar matter" Then they didnt have cash all they had was money in card. That's how they deported them.

Hahahahahha... just read your POE.. i think those immigration officers at O'hare were handpicked based on being Racist and an Idiot.

My experience in 2016 December was just something else! I wasnt even pregnant then ooo. Resigned from my job cause i had a better offer in another coy, na so i say make i go see Oga ( he was doing his Msc at Northwestern University) and i had 2 month break before i start the new job ooo.

Me- 53days
cbp- why? How many bags did you come with? How much do you have? Dont you dare lie to me.
Me- vacation... 1 box and $1000 cash and debit card
Cbp - you are a liar, you are a terrible liar, you will be sent back. Please step aside
Me- ANGRRRRRRRRY AND CONFUSE (Whats with the liar thing)

He closed his unit and asked me to follow him ooo.

Got into one Interrogating Room (My 1st time with the secondary inspection)

Na so i sit from past 6pm to 11pm!!!! Got up and went to an officer told him i need sanitory pads.. He took me to one room opened 1 big drawer different sanitary pads () this ppl mean business.

Same officer called me in after 15min of changing up.

2nd cbp - Can i have your phone
Me- sure
2nd cbp- please unlock it
I did, he came back and asked me to follow him into another office

2nd cbp- who is xxxxx (oga's name)
Me- My husband
2nd cbp- how long are you here for?
Told him 53days, asked what i do back in Nigeria, told him and he said what about the new job? (This man sha went thru my mails) told him thats the reason im staying that long. Said okay, asked me to go wait outside.

Came back with my passport . I opened and saw that he stamped me in for 48days.

Me- Uhmmm you stamped me in for
2nd cbp- yes i did
Me- Okay, please do you know if the turkish office here is still open
2nd cpb - why? What do you want?
Me- (in my mind... I WANT TO BUY AKARA) I want to move my ticket to this exact date you want me to leave so i don't come back here
2nd cbp- will you pay for it?
Me- YES

He took my passport went in.. came back almost immediately and when i checked he has changed the 48days to 6month

Me- Thanks
2nd cbp- You welcome... enjoy your stay

Na so i go find my load ooo... got to the house at almost 1am. Oga said they called him to know if he was married and expecting me.

I swear then say i no go EVER use that airport.. errmmmm 4month later i still went thru Chicago but no question asked. Maybe because na 1week i plan stay sha.

When i went for mine in 2014 ( Lagos) i left it at the security post well not my bag ooo.. some ppl left theirs, cause of my documemts i didn't. Anyways you are meant to remove any metal object from your bag (blade, keys, phones et all) those were what i took out from my bag.

quote author=exquizit post=72002929]Hello papas and mama's.
Hope my question is not out of place.

Please my interview is next week and according to the mail I got, bags and phones are not allowed into the embassy. Are there storage lockers outside where these can be kept? Or how do I go about it as I'll be traveling to Lagos that day (not based in Lagos) my interview is in the afternoon. Also where will I keep all my documents if I'm not allowed to take my bag inside?

Good evening Everyone , please I am here again to get more clarity on my case.
I applied last year August for birth tourism but was refused. I posted my transcript and I was told to wait till I am 5month pregnant.
I am presently not pregnant and I dont intend seeking birth tourism in US anymore because of some personal reason.
But will love to visit LA in May ending as one of my bucket list.
I will love to go for sight seeing, shopping and attending a Cake designing show
I like to stay for 6 weeks and return home in early July so that I can beat the summer crowd.
I have a planned Itinerary to back it up.
My question will I look desperate to the VO if I change from Birth tourism to pleasure?
Do I have to wait until I am pregnant again before I can reapply?
I need advice from you all.
Thanks

6weeks is alot of time ooo. Just my opinion sha. Cause those VO's their brain can shake. Especially if you're working.
