PoliticsRe: Aisha Buhari: Nnamdi Kanu, 40-Year-Old Man Still Living In His Father's House by okenta2017: 11:23pm On Oct 09, 2017
Tolexander:
Now I understand who Aisha Buhari was referring to when she said;
"Hyenas, Jackals will soon be sent out of the kingdom".

And truly, no one knows where Nnamdi Kanu has gone, after being sent out of the kingdom by the dancing python.

But Aisha Buhari sabi throw missile o.
How would she say that "40-year-old man who was still living in his father’s house"?

I think it is high time some of us enlighten non Igbo the culture of the Igbo people. In the village it is the father that

will show his sons land where to build their houses.. It is a taboo in Igbo land for a father to show the first son a land

to build a house . but outside the village possible in the town the first son can buy land and build his own house but not

in the village. A prince does not live outside the palace. If they do in the north it is not the tradition of Igbo land.

While I don't support the young man I think it necessary I enlighten the public on this matter.

We are happy that your husband our president is back and in good health we thank God for that. The most important thing now is how

can we restructure Nigerian to bring about equity and justice.

Gadafi danced the desert phantom dance for many years for his people because he was armed with the latest weaponry both tanks and

air defence system not 1st world war armory. it took tomahock only one hour to stop the stupid blood letting dance and the people that

were oppressed for so many years regained their freedom. Nothing last for ever. Is either we restructure now or we will have it libyan way

ever seen any where in the world that the nations army will roll out tanks. Figther jet and artilary gun to confront armless civilians. The

Episteme2:
This is chilling. The worst of it all being that there was no media coverage. The Federal authorities tried as much as possible to suppress the news but people fleeing Asaba spread the word, and the killings of large numbers of people of Igbo ethnicity substantiated Biafran claims that the war was one of genocide. Researches have equally shown that the killings in Asaba were unprovoked.
The Asaba killings raise issues that go beyond the tragedy of one community. The war has left a bitter legacy; many today argue that the violence and ethnic hatred endemic in contemporary Nigeria are partly attributable to an institutionalised unwillingness to come to terms with it. And till date, the endemic hatred still breathes even more healthily.
Inspire of this the Fulani herdsmen has the gods to roam the villages of delta state. As long as it did not affect us we don't care. That has

always been our attitude in Nigeria.

I just don't know why the Hausa/Fulani is afraid of restructuring during the regional system, the west was ahead of

all other region. Each time they come out with new development the eastern region follow. The masses benefitted from the competition .

Nigerian from other regions were not discremiinated against. When awolowo introduced free education Nigerians from other regions

benefitted from it..I happen to be a beneficiary of that free education.. More recently when tinubu became governor of Lagos state. Many

Igbo's.were appointed as commissioner. We should stop using the army as an instrument of forceful unity. It not stand for ever.. Most of

us who fought in the Biafra war are much alive and we know why we lost. Not because 20 million people died. when you send out ten

biafran soldiers to the battle front and give them 5 mark4 rifle and five bullets each no backup defence line to face an army with

countless armory.at their deposal. And they were able to hold them for 3 years. Imagine Biafra having half the armory at the disposal of

bokoharam or the militant. The story could have been diferent . A restructured Nigeria is the only way out .where each region will grow at their own pace

PoliticsRe: This Is Why Buhari's Government Is Failing - Ango Abdullahi by okenta2017: 8:14am On Sep 24, 2017
stephanie11:
Ango Abdullahi, the spokesman of the Northern Elders Forum, has detailed reasons why President Buhari's government is failing to bring visible developments to the people in the country.

Abdullahi says Buhari is a good man who found himself in a wrong system that has hampered the good intentions he has for the country. He further advised the president to welcome politicians who wish to vie for the presidential ticket of the APC ahead of the 2019 general elections.

He told Sun;

"You see, the problem is the system. Buhari may be a good person; he could be a gentleman who wants to work honestly but in a wrong system. It was a system of military fiat when he was a head of state, but the system he finds himself now does not allow him to manoeuvre.

He has to cross many hurdles and checkpoints at the National Assembly and his party before he can execute anything meaningful, and all these squabbles are not based on principle but personal interests, either at party level or at constituency or at the level of the judiciary.

All this really will make it impossible for a good person or committed person to operate effectively in this country in the manner which will accelerate development. Perhaps, you might ask the question if we can really change?

Buhari might not have failed, but the system of government that he is operating in has substantially failed in the same manner as the ones before it.

You see the fact that Buhari is incumbent does not automatically confer on him the candidature of the party in the next election if there is internal democracy in the party. The fact that you are a sitting president does not mean other members of the party cannot contest against you. If I were Buhari, I will welcome competition in my party.

This is an opening for democracy in my party and I will ask people to come and test their popularity. If he has done well, people will re-elect him. This is a confirmation he has done well and that both the party and voters trusted him. I criticize all political parties for the system they employ in conducting primary elections.

The one I am most familiar as good was the one used by Social Democratic Party (SDP) in 1992, that was a direct primary election, where every member of the party has a chance to come and vote for who will represent him as a councillor, chairman, governor or president. In direct primaries, all parties have chance to come, cue and vote or elect any person of their choice.

But the current delegate system brings nothing except corruption. Once the parties are corrupt, certainly, government must be corrupt, this is what is happening now all over the country."

are seeking for is restructuring of Nigeria that allow
1. Equal regional representation

2. Resources control

3. State and regional police.

4. Equal representation in the army, air force, navy.and Police recruitment.

5 The regional police should takeover the responsibilities of national defence corp.

6 each zone shall have equal representation in senate and the lower chamber.

7 abolish federal roads.

8 Region/state should take over schools at all level.

9. Each state/region should be allowed to deve!op at their own pace

10 idigenship should be abolished to enhance unity ( Chief Bola Tunubu is good at this)

Any restructuring that did not include state police and resource controll is a non starter.
I don't see the north having problem with this, since the IGR generated by Kano alone surpasses that of the 5 SE states and they are
occupying 85% of Nigeria land mass. If these are correct which I doubt they should be the one clamouring for restructuring.

Sometimes I wonder, if they are actually occupying 85% of Nigeria land mass why would they be seeking grazing land in the south that

occupy just 15% of the Land mass with population doubling that of the North if I must be honest. Of course excluding Nigers and lybians
