1. Ahead of the 2019 general elections, Mr. Steve Oruruo, the spokesman of the Senator Ayogu Eze campaign organization has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. Senator Eze, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Enugu State had unveiled Oruruo as his spokesman a few days ago. But report emerged on Thursday that Oruruo, during the inauguration of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi’s campaign office in Nkanu West on Thursday, announced his defection and is now the Director-General, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi campaign organization in Nkanu West.

2. The House of Representatives said it would investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of Michael Adikwu, a key suspect in the Offa, Kwara State robbery attack that claimed scores of lives seven months ago. The Committee on Police Affairs, Human Rights and Justice that was mandated to carry out the investigation is expected to uncover the issues and questions as to when the suspect died, how he died, why the police denied the facts of his death, at what point the Police leadership discovered the death of the suspect and why the police were covering up the facts.


3. The Southwest Zonal office of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has said that three members of the party in Osun state, including, Olalekan Awosiyan, Thomas Ojetade and Sina Awodire would be recommended for sanctions in accordance with the party’s constitution for “dragging the Party and its gubernatorial candidate in the last Osun election, Senator Ademola Adeleke to court over issues that bothers on alleged fake certificate.”

4. The Kogi State Deputy Governor, Elder Simon Achuba, has denied online report that he has dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Sylvester Akor, debunked the rumour Thursday evening. The CPS described the rumour of his principal’s defection to another party as wicked, noting that it was coming from the pit of mischief makers.

5. A Bill for an Act to amend the Public Holidays Act in order to declare June 12 as Democracy Day in Nigeria has passed the second reading at the House of Representatives. The bill, which was jointly sponsored by Rep. Edward Pwajok (APC-Plateau) and Rep. Kayode Oladele, seeks to bring the Act in tandem with the present realities and exigencies of the modern times.

#2 Commit to the change. You can’t just want to not be shy and only work toward that some of the time. It’s not like some other thing where giving only some effort will work.

You have to commit to it. This is a lifestyle change, really. You’re completely trying to change a huge part of your personality and if you’re not committed to that idea, you just won’t do it. So if you truly want to change, stick with it.

#3 Ask friends for some help. They know you better than anyone else, really. They’re going to be able to tell you when you’re shyest and how you can best combat that based on how they’ve seen you interact with people.

2019 Election: INEC Releases Names Of Presidential, NASS Candidates
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Thursday released its provincial list of candidates for presidential and national assembly elections.

This was in line with Section 31 (3) of the Electoral Act 2010, as amended which states “The commission shall, within seven days of the receipt of the personal particulars of the candidates, publish same in the constituency where the candidate intends to contest the election.”

The final day for submission of names of presidential candidates and Senate/House of Reps was last Thursday.

The list was pasted at its headquarters as well as its offices across states of the federation.

Among presidential candidates on the list are President Muhammadu Buhari (APC), Atiku Abubakar (PDP), Obadiahia of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Donald Duke of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and Olusegun Mimiko of Zenith Labour Party(ZLP).

In Anambra, incumbent Senators Victor Umeh, Stella Oduah and Uche Ekwenife are listed to contest.

Mr Leo Nkedife, Head Voter Education and Publicity, in the state said the names “will equally be published in all the constituencies and local government headquarters where elections will hold”.

In Anambra Central Senatorial District, the published candidates are Mr Charles Odunukwe of Peoples Democratic (PDP), Umeh of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Ekwunife of All Progressives Congress (APC).

In South Senatorial District, Sen. Andy Uba of the APC, Mr Chukwunedum Ubah of the PDP and Chief Nicholas Ukachukwu of APGA made the list.

Floyd Mayweather heads the world’s highest-paid athletes for the fourth time in seven years, thanks to a $275 million payday for his August boxing match against UFC star Conor McGregor. McGregor’s take: an estimated $85 million, more than five times his previous biggest check.

Wizkid has caused a stir on social media with a tweet that has been termed to be a subliminal shade directed at Tiwa Savage’s ex-husband, Teebillz. Although he (Wizkid) has since taken down the tweet, it has not stopped people from making a topic out of it.

In the early hours of the day (June 3rd, 2018), Wizkid put out a controversial tweet that read;

‘if I fxck your girl, u’re not getting her back.’

While the singer did not name anyone as the intended target of the tweet, the music community on social media have interpreted it as a shot at TeeBillz who is rumored to have lost his spot as Tiwa Savage’s lover to Wizkid.

Nigerian singer, D’Banj and Mavin producer, Don Jazzy have announced the reunion tour of their disband group, Mo’hits.

Both artistes took to their Instagram page on Monday night to announce the reunion tour.

Don Jazzy, alongside a video on his Instagram wrote, “@Dbanj, how many states/countries should we give them?”
Dbanj in reply on his Instagram page wrote, “@Donjazzy, are they ready?”

However, the dates and venues of the tour have not been disclosed yet.

Arsenal and Real Madrid will stage two legends matches this year, to raise money for charity.

Real Madrid will host Arsenal’s legends at the Santiago Bernabeu on June 3, before the teams face each other again at the Emirates on September 8.

The money realized from ticket sales will go to the clubs’ respective foundations.
Arsenal said their side for the games is expected to include former “Invincibles” Robert Pires, Sol Campbell, Freddie Ljungberg, Gilberto Silva and Lauren, with Tomas Rosicky also set to play.Madrid’s team will include legends like Raul Gonzalez, Roberto Carlos and Xabi Alonso.“This double-header against Real Madrid will help us use football and the Arsenal name to reach more young people around the world,” Arsenal said in a statement.

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has allegedly filed for divorce from her estranged husband, Tunji Balogun, a.k.a TeeBillz.

According to media reports, all attempts by the couple to resolve their differences have failed, and Tiwa has decided to formally call it quit, citing ‘unsolvable issues’ as the reason for the decision.

However, Tiwa a.k.a ‘Marvin Record First Lady’, is yet to confirm nor deny the divorce issue.
The embattled couple have not been together since their marital crisis in 2016; Teebillz made their marital issues public as he wanted to commit suicide by attempting to jump into the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.

The duo then engaged in ‘war of words’ on the social media, as Teebillz alleged infidelity, among other accusations, on the part of his estranged wife.

Tiwa, who shares a son with Teebillz, in turn granted a 45 minutes video interview to debunk the accusations.
