UjuJoan2:
I don't subscribe to flogging an 18 year old. If you can no longer control her then send her home.

For me just one thing is important here? Is she still useful to you? Does she still render required services? If yes, then just ignore her. Stop paying too much attention to her social life. But don't miss any opportunity to define to her that if she gets pregnant she will be sent back to her parents ASAP. Just so she is sure of the implications of her actions.

Then you need to inform her parents of what she is doing and the efforts you have made to stop her, and her continuous flouting of rules. Also let them know that you have decided to stop talking about her waywardness since they keep falling on deaf ears, and lastly let them know your plan of returning her if she gets pregnant.. Just so they can start preparing their minds.

Don't give yourself high BP. The fact that you are not her mother already makes you the enemy. She will not believe you mean well for her, rather her adventurous mind will interprete your concerns as a way of preventing her from having fun. At this point, there is not much you can do to change that. She will come to the realization on her own when she is ready

Just let her be!
This is exactly what you should do. Don't stress yourself unnecessarily. You're a good woman. May God bless you.

Vocational education is good.

But you still need formal education.

This is why illiteracy is very rampant in Igboland.

They do only vocational without formal education....

I beg to differ. Illiteracy is not very rampant in Igbo land. We do both.... check out almost all our traders, at least 60 to 70 percent of them have at least secondary education.

"Nwa Nnam" A Poem By Tola KOLADE

Though different tongues we speak

In our veins flows the same blood

From different wombs we were mothered

Yet the same lineage tells our story

Let it be remembered

That father's turgidity gave us life

One that we could attempt to erase from our history

But in itself, we can never remove from our identity

If our kinsmen will not gift you a piece of the bounty,

It will be unjust not to grant you leave to hunt your game

I share your grief, brother,

For we all must feel equal to be equal

Your pain is mine as well

For the stool belongs to us all

The Oracle have spoken severally

And severally, the kingmakers have rephrased his words

Now all you wish is Exile

And you have chosen to pitch your tent

Far away from the land of your birth

May the ancestors be with you if it is their will

And if farewell must be said

Let it be said Peacefully

And in Peace

For we always will be BROTHERS

Maka Ibu Nwa Nnam
This is my first time of reading a poem here. Was i thrilled. Yes. Thanks for sharing.

CrimeYoung Lady Shot By Unknown Gunman On Her From The Market by Okey80(op): 8:59am On Dec 20, 2017
This is really scary. A young lady has taken to a popular Facebook page to narrate how she was shot by unknown gunman on her way from the market. Read the story as narrated by Obodo Amaka Felicity.

I was shot yesterday on my way back from the market by an unknown gun men, I felt something like stone hit me and kept walking until I started feeling the flow of blood down my legs.

I have every reason to be grateful and thankful to God for giving me a second chance. Help me thank God, I also need your prayers cause the x-ray showed that the bullet is still resting on my lungs, it's in a very delicate area and can't be removed at the moment.

In as much as I don't subscribe to SARS brutality and extortion as their method of policing, I still prefer we use #REFORMSARS not #ENDSARS.

Cos we still have to check crime. Unless we want criminals to roam freely
What's police work? I believe that it's the police and it's mobile unit that need to be reformed instead of those guys. Police can fight crime if well trained and motivated.
Christianity EtcRe: Paul Enenche: Gospel Truth Of The Tithe Revealed by Okey80: 9:48am On Nov 26, 2017
Mujtahida:
There is nothing like 'open heavens' as a blessing for people who pay tithe. You have not even a scintilla of an idea what Jesus Christ means. You need to be taught Christ. I don't blame you. It's so clear contemporary Christianity is so far divorced from Christ and that is why you are here preaching tithe instead of preaching Christ. As a Christian God has made Christ to be everything for you: there are no blessings per se in Christianity, no healing, no righteousness, no holiness, no wisdom, no prosperity, no truth, no life, no open heavens but all are in Christ as Christ himself. Christ himself is the blessing and the blessings, he's the healing and your health, your prosperity, your miracle, your righteousness, your wisdom, your open heavens. Since the day Jesus died and the veil of the temple (the earthly symbol of heaven) was rent into two, the heavens have been open and will always remain open for all who are in Christ. Prosperity for Christians is in Christ not tithe!!!. 'Before Abraham was I am' said Jesus in John 8:58. Christ is before all things even your most cherished so called 'Kingdom principles' (Colossians 15-17) . That was why Paul who knew that Christ was supreme above all things was able to rule out circumcision which was a COVENANT symbol(can you imagine the boldness of Paul) between God and Abraham and say it(that covenant symbol oo) doesn't matter when a man is IN CHRIST

The moment you set up any Kingdom principle whether tithe, whether healing, whether faith, whether revelation, whether the scriptures themselves as a thing in itself divorced from Christ you have set up an idol, a dead thing over which the Spirit of God has no rule because the Holy Spirit rests not even on the things of Christ but Christ himself. Go and read Watchman Nee's book titled 'Christ the sum of all spiritual matters and things'

You are trying to elevate tithe above Christ. No way!

Hebrews 9:11 But when CHRIST came as high priest of the good things that are now already here

Ephesians 1:1 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who has BLESSED US with every spiritual blessings in the heavenly realms IN CHRIST JESUS

For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell within HIM Colossians 1:17

ALL THINGS ARE YOURS FOR YOU ARE OF CHRIST and CHRIST IS OF GOD

Not tithe but Christ- Christ, Christ, Christ. In heaven God does everything by his son, on earth he wants Christian do everything by his Son-not tithe.

Go and ask Enenche when was the last time he preached Christ?

Contemporary Christianity is a sleek, sleazy fraud.
You nailed it. Sometimes i get sick and tired of those contemporary Christian preacher. There should be a general turn around. They've lost it.

CrimeStray Bullet Kills A Boy As Rochas Okorocha Demolishes Eke Ukwu Market (Graphic) by Okey80(op): 11:29am On Aug 26, 2017
This morning the Imo state government deployed some heavy duty equipment and bulldozers to destroy some part of Douglas road in the heart of Imo state. According to Godwin Kizito Ezeji who posted it on his Facebook page, the demolitions get to the contentious Eke Ukwu market where stray bullets hit a young boy. He didn't give the name of the boy that died from the bullet and where the stray bullet came from. This is indeed sad.

The section of Douglas road that was destroyed by bulldozer early this morning.
