With all the information now available, I have to take back what I wrote here. It appears the President was blind sided by Sanwoolu and GAC in the Obasa impeachment saga. I pray true democracy wins in Lagos and Nigeria eventually!

I have read so many divergent comments here today and one thing is clear. Some don't know but they think they do.

How can anyone contest the fact that Buhari sidelined Tinubu? it was so clear. Infact, it was when Buhari was planning for the 2nd term that he beckoned on Tinubu and asked him to accompany him on an overseas trip. Tinubu was already discussing with other parties.

Someone even said Buhari campaigned for him. The same Buhari who anointed Lawan as consensus candidate? Buhari had no choice than to campaign for his party's candidate.

Let's not be ignorant here, Tinubu just prevailed for 2 reasons;
1. Atiku could not hold PDP together. If the G5 had supported Atiku, he would have won...Period.
2. Tinubu's political sagacity to outsmart his APC detractors in winning the party's ticket and also consolidating by reaching a deal with G5.

1. Your bribes to LAHA members to impeach Obasa.
2. Your funds to Aisha Achimugu, which dropped in Atiku's hands.
3. Plan to unseat 1st lady in favor of AA for reasons you know.

My conclusion is that in Nigeria, it's the elites vs the masses, and until the masses galvanize to collectively fight them, Nigeria will remain the same.

You have got to give it to Hadiza. She does her best to bring sanity to a corrupt institution which unfortunately she's a part of. I interacted with her when she was MD, NPA and you could tell she was on a mission to build an institution to be proud of. I can assure you that once you are there working for politicians, you just tell them what they want to hear. Let me give you few examples ...you can have an AFE of $30M approved for a 12k ft shallow offshore well but while drilling, you get stuck 5 times and spend weeks, even months fishing and sidetracking a fish, that well may end up costing $60M and there's nothing anyone can do about it. What about security, that's a major archiles heel, you don't want to know how much companies pay formally and informally to keep their staff and infrastructure safe and secure. What about the various regulatory authorities that must be taken care of, otherwise they will frustrate you and not give you required approvals; NUPRC, NOSDRA, NIMASA, NCAA, NNPC etc. I can go on and on. That order is a mere rhetoric, it won't move a needle. We can come back 2 years from now to assess how far that order has been effective.

So, I insist Jesus wants us to prosper financially, physically and spiritually but he does not hate people who are poor. He loves everyone and that's why I disagree with the prosperity preacher.

Inductive Bible study tells me that, sir/ma. If he wishes that you prosper above everything else, it means he doesn't want you to be poor.

I agree with him on one point...Jesus hates poverty (3 John 1:2). Everything else, I disagree. That Jesus hates poverty doesn't mean he hates the poor people, he infact loves them. Jesus hates sickness, does that mean he hates sick people? These endtime prosperity preachers will lead many astray because of their love for money. May God change their hearts!

I was flying between 2 American cities last week and I was so afraid with my wife and 3 kids all on board. The spate of crashes in the US lately is unprecedented. Even the Nigerian airspace is now safer than the American air space. Something is wrong and over the next one year, i m just gonna be driving from Canada to the states. Yes, one of my children is a Nigerian, American and Canadian and no immigration issues when traveling.

I agree it doesn't make sense to go and slave in a foreign land or even in your own land. But it will shock you to know how many Nigerians are Directors and Vice Presidents in Canadian and American corporations. So, not all Nigerians are slaving here. If you are skilled and can prove it, then the opportunities are boundless.

That said, there is however a problem which is that most Nigerians are actually slaving in Nigeria, they just don't know it. If you do an object retrospect, you will understand. All the best!
