casualobserver:Dear writer, you said he would have been sabotaged. You don't know what absolute power means. You are in charge! You sneeze and everyone catches cold. We missed a great opportunity in Osinbajo to have a president who combines integrity with capacity. They ruiners didn't want him there because they knew their game would be up with PYO in the saddle. |
We export our best to the diaspora to do great things globally but leave our worst behind to ruin us! What a travesty! |
A grandfather will wake up, travel to a far country, open his mouth and bundles of lies will just fly out! Na wa o! |
Can we have a Geologist with apt knowledge about the commercial viability of hydrocarbon exploration and exploitation in the North, shed light on this endless pursuit. I worked as an Engineer in the upstream industry and I had a discussion about this with one of the foremost Geoscientists in Nigeria who joined the industry in 1970 and currently GMD of a Nigerian independent. His blunt opinion was that it is wild goose chase. This was 10 years ago. I am wondering if advanced technology has changed the situation. Can someone please educate us? Thanks |
I dont think the statistics of 90 - 99% cheating men is correct but i know a lot of men cheat even as I have come to find out now that a lot of women cheat as well. Men do it overtly while women do it covertly. Frankly speaking, a lot of men do it cos they consider it as fun. I know a lot of men who cheat quietly but still love their wives and can give their eyes for their wives. So, I always tell women who complain about cheating husbands not to leave but if their husbands who do not cheat, abuse them, I encourage them to leave wie. Abuse can lead to death. If you leave your hubby due to cheating, you must be prepared to be single for the rest of your life as there is no guarantee the next man won't cheat. It's unfortunate I must sadly admit it's a man's world as a man cheating is not considered a big deal but a woman cheating is considered an abomination. Double standards! |
80km/hr on an interstate highway? Quite low. We do up to 120km/hr in North America! Wondering why the speed limit is that low..maybe an informed person can educate me! |
I remember a former Ooni, Oba Adesoji Aderemi, was the Governor of Western Region in those days, while Awo and later Akintola served as Premier. It was more like the relationship between the Queen and the Prime Minister. I am wondering why the Alaafin did not have a position at the time. Does this confirm the Supremacy of the Ooni? Just wondering... |
With the amount of money in politics today at all levels, increased fetishness is inevitable, especially witb election money coming soon! |
When the East complains about marginalization when it comes to leading the country, I sometimes wonder if it's not self-inflicted. The closest they have come in recent history is Peter Obi's last performance and one will naturally expect the East to rally round him, so it suprises me that the Governor of his state will sacrifice the collective eastern interest on the alter of personal aggrandisement. |
Pls let's tell MC that if he can come out and read the contents of this letter by himself with no stuttering or grammatical error, we will forgive K1.....Nonsense!!! |
AbuAeesha:It can also put pressure on some to attempt to do what they can't afford, thus leading them to do what they ordinarily wouldn't do just to measure up. |
I am wondering how it makes sense to disclose to anyone how much i spend on my parents. Doesn't seem to make sense to me. My opinion, though. |
K1, You have done well to apologize to the country. I condemned you for your despicable action and I am here to commend you for your unreserved apology. I love the fact that you didn't attempt to justify your actions whatsoever. I do hope you have learnt your lessons. You will do well to also submit yourself to whatever measures law enforcement agencies are taking to serve as a deterrent to others, and I am sure they will temper justice with mercy. Nice one, K1 |
Hello, Please let me know if you have a similar flat for sale, even 2 bedroom, preferably ground floor. Thanks |
When we asked you guys not to vote for Jagaban, you refused. He is known for legitimizing miscreants. KWAM conducted himself in such a shameful manner because he knows he ll get away with it. Asiwaju is his father. I'm waiting for MC Oluomo to do his own. Festus Keyamo - good and balanced response. I expect KWAM 1 to be in jail by now, awaiting prosecution for act of terrorism! |

People like Wike don't end well. Even APC that he's working for now, they are not stupid. They are watching him and wary of the gravity of damage he can inflict on them, if allowed to grow wings in the party. |
All I know is that there is no smoke without fire. Personally, I have always had an ethical reservation for the appointment of Ojulari as GMD, NNPC considering his interest in Renaissance Group. Conflict of interest is inevitable! |
Jimi Disu is around 70 years so I understand when he says Nigerians abroad will soon be on their way home. When you are that age, to be honest, and you have made money abroad, it's sweeter to be in Nigeria and just go abroad for your medicals and to spend time with the children once in a while. Also, if you are collecting pension abroad and spending it in Nigeria, you will be very very comfortable. That said, if you are still young or mid aged with kids still in school, going back to Naija now will be a hard decision. I live in Canada, my kids go to public schools with standards at the very top globally, and I pay next to nothing. My 15 year old goes to a school where one of his courses is a Cybersecurity course where once he graduates from high school, he gets a diploma which enables him to get an entry level job where he can make $80,000 per annum as an 18 year old. Tell me, how can he get such qualitative education in Nigeria for free? Is it 24-7 electricity you want to talk about? what of my house with no gate and we sometimes don't lock the doors when we go to bed. Health care nko? Available and easy to access funding for business investments? please, uncle Jimi, when all your kids are back home, let us know, then we can start considering it too. Conclusively, I must add that western world is not perfect hence, I wholeheartedly pray that Nigeria can become attractive again for people to return, a semblance of that happened during Obasanjo and Yar adua regimes. I love that country! |
Peacefultosin:Well, look at it from this angle too. One major advantage of AI is to bring down the cost of production significantly so companies can sell cheaper. |
Now it's time to elevate this conversation so people are not caught unaware. The proliferation of AI into every industry is a paradigm shift. Very soon, people won't be able to get jobs without AI knowledge as AI tools and techniques will take over, I mean every industry! No industry is exempted. AI will soon be like the advent of computer and MS Application. If you couldn't use them you were out. I recently visited a family doctor and he was using AI. I asked if he considered it a threat. His response - I m working hard to retire early before AI takes my job! |
Kobojunkie:Thanks very much. I see a dentist in here in Canada regularly - afterall i dont have to pay a dime. I have no dental issues. I have the best health package so I am good. Appreciate your concern, though. |
My wife tells me ooo. Like when I wake up and haven't brushed and it oozes, she chases me to tbe bathroom. I always reciprocate when I have the opportunity..lol |
This is one of the primary reasons that nothing Tinubu does will ever make sense to me. Too many lies about primary and secondary schools, as well as the source of his wealth. I agree he went to Chicago, worked in Consulting and Oil&Gas but he should tell us about his early life before Chicago. We deserve to know. It's okay to have been raised by a foster mother, nothing wrong with that but as a political leader, you owe it to us to be transparent about your past, that's if you have nothing to hide! |
For someone born in 1972, I expect his WAEC result to be dated circa 1989/1990. This is 2008 so it must either be a resit, probably because he failed Maths in his previous attempt(s) or he never finished secondary school and only had to write the exam later in life for political reasons. While formal education is not a conclusive test of one's abilities, this Okpebolo doesn't represent Edo well at all. Edo is too blessed with materials, to be governed by a mediocre like him. But Sha, that is the Nigerian story! |
I wanted a virgin, I married one. 17 years after, absolutely no regrets! |
yarimo:Disclaimer: I am not for/against the coalition. Just putting out my observation. When APC was formed, it was a coalition of serial losers like Buhari, Tinubu etc whose parties have lost presidential elections to PDP over the years, and disgruntled politicians like Saraki and co who left PDP. This is not different from what is happening now. The only difference is that this coalition feels more confident about their chances considering the precedence set by APC, while Tinubu is also more aware of the possibilities unlike Jonathan who was rather complacent and less ambitious. The stage is setting for a thriller in Manilla! |
Attempting to pivot Nigeria to a one-party state will not end well for Tinubu and his cohorts. |
Now, this is the best move so far by the coalition. A southerner agreeing to a one term deal to guarantee power shift to the North afterwards. This will help the coalition get a lot of Northern support. |
Any Ibo man who votes for APC in the next general election MUST require a DNA Test. APC government has been targeting Ibos in most of the demolitions we have seen in the last 2 years. I am Yoruba but the truth has to be told. We need to flush out these perennial robbers for good! |
My thoughts Pastor Paul was well within his rights to refuse to be photographed, absolutely nothing wrong with that. He showed his displeasure without cursing at the guy or pointing any weapon at him so nothing wrong with how he handled that, in my opinion. The Police also confirmed that what he carried was not a lethal firearm but added that the stun gun was a prohibited anti-riot equipment and that's where I believe he has a case to answer. Why was he carrying a stun gun? To protect himself? well, we all know we don't have a reliable security apparatus to protect Nigerians so we must go the extra mile to protect ourselves, but it has to be done within the provisions of the law. |
