Christianity should be an inward virtue with outward radiance, it should have more to do with your character than what you wear. The first Latin adage I learned was that the hood doesn't make a priest.

If the bible talked about the Church in Antioch, Church in Samaria, Church in Ephesus, why can't there be a Church in Igbo land?

Politics / Re: Senate Urges FG To Consider ₦300b Fund For Emergency Roads Intervention In Niger by OKKO(m): 8:57am On Sep 29, 2021
300bn for roads in Niger State while Enugu Onitsha express way has been unpassable since 33 yrs that I was born. The main and formerly only linkage between North, Middle belt, South East, South South and South West...is Markudi-Enugu (9th mile) express way. The gully on that road since 5 yrs ago can swallow a full truck.

The other day it is a foreign loan to build railway to Niger republic, boom it is to build Naval base in Kano.

The North will surely destroy the so called one Nigeria they clamour for. When the injustice gets people to neck level then the uprising will be inevitable.

Who shall you accuse of abandoning you? Is the president and all military and paramilitary chiefs not from the Fulani north?

Is the north not occupying all the juicy positions in Nigeria?

Would you rather want ESN to come and fight bandits for you in the north?

Politics / Re: Governor Ugwuanyi’s Sixth Year: Challenges, Strides, Verdicts by OKKO(m): 7:34am On May 29, 2021
aikyg:
This is incorrect! This man has practically done nothing in Enugu. Worst governor in recent times. Nothing in Udi, Oji River, Ezeagu, Nkanu and even in Enugu city. He should just come and do and be going, so that a governor with ideas can come and work.

I don't like his style. I feel he is slow, even in Nsukka there is no legacy project.

But he has touched virtually all the rural areas in Enugu State with dots of road projects. I must confess that those agro roads have the capacity to improve the quality of life of those in rural areas tremendously.

Developing the state capital is good; likes of Sullivan and Umahi of Ebonyi State took loans to spend in the capital city. But remember that Enugu is one of the largest land mass in Igbo land with a great deal of people and agricultural activities ongoing in the rural areas.

My greatest credit to him is that his Goverment has a little or no State sponsored assassination, killing, cultism, political oppression, financial extravagance, borrowing, sack of workers and other vices; as was the case of Chimaroke and Sullivan

Paying of civil servants may not be an achievement but it stablises a State. Since 6yrs of Ugwuanyi's administration, I received my salary before 25th of every month, even during the 2 recessions we had.

RussianKGB:
It's a cow government. I wonder how many cows the mannequin president in asorock sees openly grazing when he goes on those wasteful medical tourism trips in the UK. He should tell us about the cows he saw openly grazing during his last trip to France. The whole world and even the rest of Africa is fast advancing in all facets of human development but here in Nigeria, the president wants open cow grazing to continue to be a norm in this 21st century. I see why igbos want to break away from these backward, parasitic people.

The real reason Igbos are agitating is this primitive stubbornness being exibited by Malami and Garba Shehu. Why insisting that the Southern Governors should accommodate the world acclaimed 4th terror group among thier people?

You have hijacked everything in Abuja, every appointment is Fulani; why come down to our villages allowing headers from all the Sahel to move down South to kill, rape, kidnap people and displace our farmers?

BH have effectively mixed with ISWAP, killer headers, and bandits with unrestricted access to all Southern villages; yet FG don't care. This people are sending down truck loads of young boys to the South, yet FG applaud them.

What we saw is Army killing indigenous people of SE in search of ESN that was formed as FG falled to protect the SE people as we all can see. Today Nigerian forces enter streets of Owerri killing elderly women and children tagging them ESN.

We have reach the point that led to the first civil war and the FG clearly the oppressor.

There are hundreds of occupation in Nigeria; headers, palm tapers, teachers, traders, importers, physiotherapist, banker, nurse, doctor, accountant, caterer, student etc. Why is this federal government ready to sacrifice everybody because of headers that are less than 1%? Even the producers of the food we eat are chased away from farms and even thier villages for Fulani headsmen to take over. What is the real motive? It can't be for economic development.

I’m waiting for the excuse you have to make for road markings

Chiarman, try not to interfere heavily on reports on a place you don't know. Enugu will pass for a city with ornamental trees, road markings, street lights, and traffic lights. They were installed and maintained in relevant places since the administration of Sullivan Chime.

We are still describing a street in a state capital in Nigeria, not in South Africa, Europe or North America. If your own state capital is like Enugu then Nigeria is having a facelift.

Nice one from the governor but seriously the roads in Enugu states more especially the streets need rehabilitation.

Your excellence you should look at one of the worst roads in Enugu, which is the old Nsukka road that runs from 9th mile through Abor, Ukana down through Umulugbe.

Only the Abor part of the road that is motorable ( maybe it is because of the Njieze's) after that the remaining part of the road is a nightmare.

I feel for the villages along that road, it seems successive governments have neglected them. A times I wonder whether they have anyone from that axis that works with the governor?

I have not used that road for a long time since I finished school and left the east. Until last year that business brought me back to Enugu.
I passed through that road last year, the road was scrapped and all of a sudden work stopped. The road has been abandoned, I passed through same road last week because I was trying to avoid the Fulani around Egede at late evening.

Rumor has it that Senator Ike Ekweremadu diverted the work to build the road leading to his inlaw village.

For the avoidance of doubt next time I am going to Nsukka I will use the same road and get pictures.

Brother the road you described is terrible and bad ever since 2 decades and half I have been passing there.

It is an example of failure of Federal Government in SE. I don't think we have upto 8 federal roads passing Enugu State. All of them are like that. That is Enugu -9th mile - Makurdi Road. It was approved for dualization in FEC 2014, since then nothing. Same with Enugu to Awka end of Enugu Onitsha Road, Enugu to Okigwe end of Enugu - PH Road, same with Okigwe - Owerri Road, Aba - PH Road etc

I wonder if any one knows of a federal project initiated and completed in the SE since 6 year ago.

White markings, none
Street light, none
Trees? None planted

Just ordinary asphalt and shoddy job concluded!

Do you know where the road is to start with?
It is an inner street road with residential building at both sides of the drianage. Do you pull down a house to plant the trees?

What business do a road that terminate into people's houses have with a traffic road sign?

Are you sure the equivalent of this road in your state is ever asphalted?

Are they security personnel?

The move with police and civil defense.
Most politicians are assigned security details, for example each state government house has not less than 120 police men, plus CD, DSS, Army.

They can form a stronger vigilante, equip and supervise them while staying with them in the village. They know their life too is at stake.
