RomanceRe: Show A Nigerian Girl Love, & Loose Your Pride As A Man? (An Assertion) by okoomoge2(m): 3:51am On Dec 29, 2012
I raised this topic in 2011. What an elderly person says might take years for kid to comprehend.

I got all manners of insult but alas someone is acknowledging the fact.

SSS if you are guys are dead serious, I recommend you start a recruitment exercise targeted at recruiting hackers, dudes/babes that majored in communications for electrical and electronics, psychologist. All new generations.

For you field ops, go and recruit dudes from mushin, ajegunle, mile one diobu, enehren, boys around arihara, boys around upper nwekka, boys along taiwo and agbo of a road, isale ejo boys, all these boys must have at least OND. Send for training in covert ops in the states and make sure you pay them minimum salary of 500 thousand Naira.

On return they should return to the areas they grew up and must live in that area no flashy life style, none must have a car, don't issue ID cards to them but instead install a chip into their bodies and this to be managed by new generation wiz kids.

I laugh when people say they want to fight corruption, be read to pay the price to fight corruption.

There are hard men in the street if well remunerated and taken care of, are willing to serve Nigeria gallantly.

Be the who you want to be by being in touch with yourself.

Listen, Learn and Look

Be focus, determined and preserve

Accept failure as a means to a stronger and better beginning and see success as a datum to do even more.

Never be complacent and above all remain humble and live a life of simplicity.

GEJ is a little man that knows nothing about the world he lives in. I am not sure he is aware of the 48 laws of power, if he is, he will definitely know you don't find your master.

I advice GEJ reads the act of war and the rules of engagement. I pity that guy walahi.

PoliticsRe: Saudis Block Nigerian Envoy From Detained Pilgrims by okoomoge2(m): 1:19am On Sep 29, 2012
One thing about other countries around the world is they are proud of their country irrespective of personal beliefs, religion or line of tribe.

To the main issue, the application for Hajji visa as stated by the Saudi immigration is as below :

A woman under 45 must travel with a male companion be it son, brother or husband. His details must be clearly stated on visa application form;

Women above 45 may travel without a male companion, provided her husband issue a letter of non objection to travel for Hajj. This letter must be notarised, and the woman must travel within a group that has a maharam responsible for the group.

Now my question, why was the Visa approved by the Saudi government, if they felt the condition for visa approval has not been met by the applicant ?

I would assume previously this condition has been waived by the Saudi Govt for women above 45. What led to the change in Waiver? I have heard stories of some ladies who are not Muslim falsifying their age to go to Saudi, never get to Mecca or medina for the hajji, but stayed back in Jedda for prostitution.

I have also heard stories of Nigerians who go to Saudi for Hajji and do rubbish Sabaka Night party after Hajji, where male and female who have no family connection openly dance together and we all the saudi govt dont approve of this. This party sometime happen immediately after hajji. I think the Saudi have decide to get rid of people who don't understand the purpose of Hajj and by their actions not true believers.

The FG should do a root cause assessment for the sudden hostility against Nigerian Women before flexing diplomatic muscle. You have to respect the set done regulations and laws of any Country for you to be accorded respect or dignity. It is a pity that genuine women who are going for Hajji were made to undergo this embarrassment because of the actions of some Nigerians.

The fall out from this situation, Nigerian minister of internal affairs should work hard to ensure Nigerians don't continue to bash people along religion or tribal lines. This will continue to seed line of hatred.

I think Pa Awo was right. Nigeria is a mere geographical expression and not a country.
FamilyRe: Ever Felt Like You Married The Wrong Person? by okoomoge2(m): 11:44pm On Sep 02, 2012
Leave or take it , you are married to the person God created for you. God created Eve because of Adam, the serpeant used Eve to get to Adam and they both left the garden of Eden.

Why did not Adam seek for separation from Eve? She brought sorrow to him, but God in heaven should have prevented Eve from been used but he allowed it for a reason. We sons and daughters of Adam and Eve are shallow thinkers, God gave us examples and lessons to draw from but we mostly rely on our reasoning capacity without seeking for God's guidance.

With God in your life, you can overcome any tribulation, be it marital, Only God give marital bliss. No one can achieve it, you need wisdom from God, patience and endurance and also God giving love to have a happy union.

I am not a pastor, nor an imam but when you seek God you would find him.
TravelSucceeding As A Professional Abroad by okoomoge2(op): 1:26am On Aug 31, 2012
I felt I should start this topic to help prepare folks are just starting off as a professional abroad, although situations are different in the states, the uk or Oz but from my sojourn I can say what I intend to share cut across board.

For me my experience is based on Oz and Europe:

First you have to be super confident
You have to be a very smart dresser
You have to ensure your grooming is cool
You have to read in between lines
You have to have the ability to conceal your frustration
You have to be extremely good at what you do
You have to be prayerful
You have to conceal your long term ambition
You have to be outspoken
Don't ever suck up to your supervisor or white colleague
You have to mingle but set barriers
You have to network with folks within your industry who are of african background
Always attend corporate function but never ever get drunk even you be riding home in a taxi
Keep your head up always
Cultivate the ability of looking straight into the eyes of people when talking
Always have options
You need to be close to God
Be cool at a time even when embarrassed openly in public.
Never show your anger, don't swear and also don't fake smiles be yourself.

It takes the Grace of God to reach the top of your career in abroad, if it takes 100pct to excel back home be prepared to raise the bar to 200pct.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: A Copy Of My Suicide Letter If I Dont Get A Job Soon. by okoomoge2(m): 11:02am On Jul 30, 2012
@ Poster, I feel your pain, but please pray and fast more often. This is not a matter of going to the church or the mosque but they are some prayers that you could do that would open the door of favour and grace.

Firstly you need to cleanse yourself and come pure before God, seek for mercy first and not job or money.

Secondly, you need to know the appointed hours and days when your prayers can be granted promptly. Please seek wise counsel and you would be favoured.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Long Did It Take U To Get A Job After Graduation by okoomoge2(m): 12:09am On May 10, 2012
Dude all I can say is pray and fast and be prepared so when the opportunity comes you are favoured by the Almighty. I got my first job one year post NYSC, but before then I did chevron, total,UBA,First bank,NNPC,British Gas,NLNG test and interview but was not successful. I was just 21 years old then. I was determined to be successful because I know I had God and I am so brilliant by his grace. I felt like a failure a failure after all this opportunity.
A friend invited me over to Bonny Island for a visit, while in bonny island a job opening came up and I sent in my application. I was shortlisted for test, I passed the test by God's favour and subsequently passed the interview and I landed my first Job 2 weeks after working as a project/interface engineer on a shell project. One thing God was preparing me all this while, the position I was offered was way above my experience, I am more of a technical savvy dude.
From that humble beginning, I have worked in major oil and gas serving company,EPC company and I did work with Exxon mobil as well but I am now based abroad working as a consultant subsea pipeline engineer with the leading subsea pipeline specialist company globally.

Dude your time would come, but be prepared and also pray a lot for God's favour and uncommon blessing. When I look back at my beginning I just keep thanking God for his mercies.

@ Nayah, which part of the world do u reside.
I am not hear to condemn or disrespect nija women.
I tell u what, women are the salt of the world once the salt gives bad taste, then there is a big problem.
I have had the opportunity to meet nigerian women over the years and very few worth the trouble.

CareerRe: .. by okoomoge2(m): 12:04am On Aug 10, 2011
In term of pure monetary evaluation, the dude in 9ja would fare better but on the long term the dude in jand or yankee would much better if he or she is a professional.
If the dude/babe is uk or us say is an engineer with 5yrs international experience with a reputable company, he could someday decide to proceed to nija and occupy an higher position with fat bucks. The dude in 9ja might spend 10yrs to attain the same position.
