oweman: So Obanikoro expect anyone to congratulate Wike for what we all are seeing on Tv . Honestly what i saw on TVC yesterday is nothing short of beng called robbery for those three southern states ie Akwa Ibom , Enugu and Rivers states even f they are sworn in thenincoming president must take as a responsible to the nation to cause a judicial investigation into those video coverages as not doing so will send signal to the world , those gangsterrism cant be accepted they are shameful there could be others too needing rescrunising to get the records straight its not a party thing but a nationql shame . And who is TVC? Tinubu? That thief has no right to tell us what happened in Rivs state. A biased bigot like Tinubu who will paint anything that is not in his favour Black? We know what he wants, Oil. And by Gods grace he will not succeed. Did TVC also show case what happened at Abonema where Amaechis imported tugs were arrested by the people. The Governor himself came to their rescue but was chased away. The so called people killed were some of these thugs. I bet you, Amaechi will lose even at the tribunal. Shame on TVC for their biased reportage. Shame.. |

ademoladeji: I don't get you... Can't you juz re-orientate yourself over this issue of ethnic/tribal sentimentality? It's not abt Yoruba, Hausa, Ibo, Middle Belt, or the minorities of the south-south... It's abt Nigeria. Pls, do not bring tribe into this. Thanks You better get me for we are seeing it in its true colour finally, a pure ethnic gang up. A lot of us initially believed in the change until we saw how Yorubas and Hausas are gloating over the GMB victory. It's purely ethnic. We shall see |

You sounds so bittered 5. Go take chill-pills 6. I love you my brother from another ZONE 7. One Naija... #TheSpiritOfLagos Why is the loss of Rivers state paining Yorubas more? Oh I think I know. They are the highest employees in all the Oil companiesl. Don't worry, we will exceed Lagos Igr by taxing your people heavily in Rivers state. Cry me a river |

We are yet to see the end to this oil war. Tinubu and Buhari will find it very tough this time around to share oil blocks to themselves and their cronies. I reside in a Rivers state and voted for Wike, no regrets at all. The Niger Delta people are wiser now and knows who their real enemies are. The shout of one Nigeria is just a joke. It is a sham meant to enslave a group to the advantage of a majority. Rivers people now know better. Tinubu should leave Rivers state alone and focus on Lagos and the north. No oil for him. |

Politics › Re: What Rochas Okorocha Said Lagos Polictics by okpurukata(f): 5:46pm On Apr 04, 2015 |
mikeansy: Rochas Okorocha is accusing the Igbo Nation of myopia but his argument is in fact coated and covered with the very myopia he accuses his people off!
Rochas' only regrets is that we have no ranking Senator under APC to make Senate President from the South East. If the APC truly want to be inclusive they can elect Ike Ekweremadu or any PDP Senator from the East as the Senate President. The ruling party can back a member of another party to emerge the Senate President! If what this truly is about is inclusiveness!
You get the sense that what is at play here is not a quest to include Igbos but a childish attempt to win votes. Its all about April 11.
Need I remind Okorocha that in this 4th republic, we have had a few Senate Presidents. From Wagbara to Okadigbo to Anyim to Enwerem! Our aspiration as Igbos in Nigeria should be a little bit more sophisticated than just producing a Senate President. The Senate President is one man! amongst million of Igbos. The notion that all we should want as a people is to make one man Senate President is indeed myopic!
There was a Confab report that would have redefined what it means to be a modern Nigerian, where we had the debate about devolution of power and true federalism. The relationship between the State vs Individual. Implementing that report will change the lives of all Nigerians including ALL Igbos! Jonathan promised to implement the recommendations of that Report. APC refused to participate in the excersize. And have not pledged to implement the recommendations of that report. This for me is why APC has no place in Igbo land.
The truth is Rochas Okorocha is not worried about Igbos and we know this. Rochas is worried about Rochas political future and winning the next election in a weeks time. His betrayal of the trust of Imo State people will be punished at the polls on April 11.
Finally Nigeria needs a strong PDP. Nigeria needs a strong opposition party. Ndigbo need a strong PDP. The welfare state that Buhari and his APC are promising can not be sustained without a tax hike on small businesses and traders. We have seen this kind of attitude in Lagos and they will try to bring that to the Center. Ndigbo need a PDP that can provide an alternative platform to challenge the tax and spend policies of APC that may punish entrepreneurs and hardworking Nigerians!
I respect you sir |

This video is a real show of shame by a sitting Governor. That man has no decorum at all. I heard that Sen Lokpobiri actually won that primary. Why woul the governor not allow the court to give their judgement if he is so sure of himself. This level of impunity should not be tolerated from any one. |

The election in Rivers state yesterday was mainly peaceful. In my booth the APC party agent tried everything to cause confusion but was resisted. I think their grouse is that they never expected that people will vote PDP so massively. People simply ate Amaechi s money and voted Jonathan overwhelmingly. I was so impressed with the turnout. People stayed till the end and refused to be intimidated. I maintain that even if there was violence, it is minimal |

owobokiri: The way we shoot down good ideas sha. . Just read the posts above and you would think that the House of Reps are just blind but the opposite is the case. That thing is nothing but a flying coffin. This is a very very good idea. Hiace buses and their equivalents should be used to carry goods ONLY! THERE IS NO OTHER SERIOUS COUNTRY IN THE WORLD WHRE SMALL HIACE BUSES ARE USED FOR LONG DISTANCE JOURNEYS. It is only here. That bus is mainly used to carry goods. Not to pack humans like sardines from Lagos to Aba. That bus has been responsible for thousands of deaths on Nigerian roads. I lost one of my friends who flew into this country and tried going to the east from Lagos with that brand called "Hummer". They perished somewhre near Ore. It should be banned totally. It is small. It is speedy. And the small interior forces passengers into very uncomfortable positions leaving them with no room to negotiate an escape once there is an impact.. For inter city travels, we should either be using the 'luxurious' buses, or the one we call "civilians" or something like ANAMCOs "14-14". . They are a bit bigger, less speedy, more comfortable and more amenable to Nigerian roads. Best comment here |

I do not have any issue with OBJ leaving PDP. The hand writing has long been on the wall. However, I am wondering why he had to give the membership card to the ward chairman, who in turn tore it happily on his instructions. That PDP ward chairman should be sanctioned by the party immediately. He displayed anti party activity by the way and manner he tore his party's card. Hope others noticed this on the television clip. |
