Naijaguy12345:Its true just finished watching it now on same channel. Always verify before rushing to comment thanks. |
seunmsg:"White washed tomb" submission. |
MissCuppy:Thank you! |
SorftWerk:Absolutely true about me, though I don't believe in astrology . Never cheated in my 10 years of marriage and will never do it by his Grace. |

Ogonimilitant:You summed it up. The CDS is a political position and doesn't control the troops, the COAS does! In 1979 Obasanjo appointed Gen. Akinrinade as COAS before handing over to Shagari, few months later he was made the CDS and gen. Wushishi was made the COAS, reason the North was not comfortable with a Yoruba COAS. Hence you could see it was created in the first place to accomdate Akinrinade. |
Guestlander:Indeed you just announced your foolishness by that response! Quit man you're wrong. |

2dugged:The church does, it separates couples in this kind of union especially when life is involved. I don't think the church should be held responsible for her death! Her Pastor and the elders you mentioned, do not live in the same apartment with her to assess what she is going through. She could have walked away from the union being the victim irrespective of other peoples opinion, and not expect anyone to "PUT ASUNDER WHAT GOD HAS JOINED TOGETHER" After all he was her choice, and no one forced her into it. It's one of the consequencies of the decisions we make in life, it may either make or mar us. May her soul rest in peace. |
lofty900:Senseless, heartless and bigoted mind. Your brain needs flushing! |
Shelloween:That's all you can contribute. Maybe you are from Nsukka and are really pained at my comment but be informed that truth is bitter and its the bitter truth that sets lowlifes like you free. |
In fact what actually happened was that one of the youths broke a block on this young man's head. He fell down and tried getting up but fell down again. I was driving to Nsukka that very day and could not believe what I saw. I could not stop to help this young man because it happened in the full glare of the natives and bystanders who seemed to give an implicit approval to the attackers action. I only stopped briefly to yell at them for what they just did to the young.man who was already on the ground! So sad that such a retrogressive culture is still being practised in Nsukka a town that hosts a premier university with all it attendant benefits. I wish the young man speedy recovery, but I am afraid that the skull must have been fractured by the impact of that block because it was terrible. Better imagined than experienced. |
Aah! Fayemi, Fayemi....... |

AmNoblen:The FIRST and THE ONE THAT WOULD REMAIN AFTER THE LAST! |
madridguy:Why? |
QuotaSystem:Yes i quite agree with you that government cannot and should not fold it's arm while the economy of the nation is been sabotaged, that's why he hs advisers who are supposed to guide him, mind you the soldier and militant's that's are going to die are Nigerians!, militancy is not unique to nigeria alone it also happened in Indonesia in 70s but Gen. Suharto used compensatory benefit system to silence the agitation of the militants not minding that he is a general like our president and hence ran a peaceful goverment, knowing the importance of stability to economic development. Even presently in Thailand, there is also a struggle for self determination and control of oil resources by a small muslim ethnic minority who have taken up arms against the goverment. In all these, i still believe that the surhato model should be studied and possibly implemented afterall they are nigerians and can be reached, it's only when this fails that the other options on the table coud be weighed. Nigeria is where she is today because of political and economic instability that has stiffled our growth and any attempt to excerbate it would spell doom for our corporate existence. Thank you. |
QuotaSystem:I wonder why you think that i support militancy, in Afghanistan it took only the shoulder mounted stinger missiles supplied by the US and anti tank missile to take out the soviet airforce, destroy their tanks and force the mighty soviet army to withdraw, all the weapons and guided systems you mentioned here are all in the arsenal of the US army yet it took them together with the P5+1 members more than a year to resolve the Iran nuclear standoff. It took the US two weeks to take out the talibans in Afghanistan and less than 3months to oust Saddam from Kuwait and i am sure it could'nt have taken them longer to decimate Iran, yet they accepted to dialogue with them. Obama stood his ground against the use of force to compel iran to bow to international pressure to halt it's nuclear ambition, while many republican were in support of the use of force to teach them a lesson. The world is in a mess because of some of these wars, and the war itself did not end the resistance. No can accurately the outcome of any war, and as such we should support any avenue that would foster peace and not violence. We can argue about the merits and demerits of a military conflagaration in the ND, but the final decision rest on the president's table. Thanks.. |
SweetyZinta:Then what's the essence of commenting? if you can't understand him which i doubt, it would have been better for you to ignore his post completely by only viewing it, and not exhibing this crass ignorance in a public forum as large as NL. Mind you, no one is under compulsion to dance skelewu or dabbing on nairaland. Thanks. |
blues20:I guess you did not understand my position, war is never an option in conflict resolution. All those shouting and calling for war should visit the nearest NA recruitment centre and get enlisted, they should not sit in the comfort of their homes or offices to and expect others to die for their belief. Ask yourself why Syria and Libya are the only arab nations now in turmoil whereas the arab spring started in tunisia and spread through most arab nations before making a landfall there, simple, Asad and Gadaffi failed to negotiate with the opposition unlike other arab regimes that relinquished power, to allow peace to reign. Ghadafi died with all the military weapons at the disposal of her armed forces, possibly one of best in Africa, why ? because he also failed to use diplomacy. So negotiation is, and would remain the only viable option towards resolving conflicts not only in the ND but the world at large. |
QuotaSystem:Armchair analysis that's what your submission is all about, war is more and beyond the scope of what you just said, ask yourself what does nigeria contingency plan looks like, do we have the capacity to embark on another gunboat diplomacy? are we sure it would not end in a military fiasco?. With a war (desert warfare) already being fought in the northeast, it would be suicidal to commit our troops to another unnessary jungle warfare in the ND. Dialogue is the only key to peace in this scenario, because foreign involvement can not be ruled out in any modern conflict, and you don't and can never tell; those nations that want nigeria to splinter. |
Dhugal:A foolish report that was written to justify nonsenses. These same clowns wrote reports implicating buhari and co of being boko haram sponsors, and GEJ kept on telling us that they knew those who were sponsors of boko haram without arresting anybody, because the reports were spuriuos and without proof of direct involvent of those accused. This also is the same way the mighty CIA, wrote a silly report about iraq possesing weapons of mass destruction, which eventually threw the US and her allies into a needless war. There should be proof and not speculation in writing security reports as the consequences most times are catastrophic. |
freeze001:No i don't think so, this is just the begining! |
AntiIPOOP:Are you Buhari? gosh!!! |
"The believers can continue to wait for the bus that would never come" This got me laughing out loud! |
MrTruth4real:There i nothing fake about the news, it was on air yesterday, it's the truth. |
After going through this thread, i can not but agree with Olusegun Adeniyi's postulation that there is no detribalised Nigerian. This Nation can never develop with the level of inter tribal bigotry on display here. Nigeria is now actually sitting on barrel of gunpowder, and only visible ante-conflict resolution strategies would save her, and with the level of poverty currently driving people nuts, you can confidently predict it's future. |
LastMumu:Bros you are right, but no EDO man will do what that guy did in a foreign land!, that GMB is in 'the catbird seat' does not confer to his tribesmen the right to exhibit a master race behaviour wherever they are domiciled or take the life of anyone anywhere in nigeria because they control the security apparatus in the country. The country is heading to an ireversible flux, and since there is no love lost between various tribes in naija and this is why it.'s future is bleak and easily predictable. |
Mustay:My brother professionalism in news reporting is only found in western media who understand the dangers of showing explicit contents in information diasemination most of the graphic images you see this days is because people believe in seeing is believing. Do you watch press tv the iranian international news channel to see the unproffessional way they dish out news? the op posted those pix to convince thomases that abound here. |
