He was once relieved of his job from Fed. Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, and the man who sacked him; Abdulsalam Abukakar was also fired from the same bank. Just like his northern ilks(Maina and co) he found his way to SEC where he was made an executive director until he was elevated to hus current post. How could he request for a 'severance' package when he is still a staff of the parastatal? The civil service rules are very clear on matters like this or does see himself as a national assembly members who always settle themselves even if they are returning to the hallowed chambers. SMH for the level of greed been perpetrated by some of these guys! |

alfanio: President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday said allegations of under-representation of Igbos in his government were unfounded. He said while he gave the South-East zone four substantive ministers, he could not take any decision on foreign policy and investments without the input of two of them. According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while receiving leaders from the region led by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. He said Buhari told his guests that while seven states in the North got Ministers of State in his administration, the South East got four substantive ministers. ADVERTISING inRead invented by Teads PHOTOS: Buhari meets South-East leaders “I gave South-East four substantive ministers in the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Investment, Science and Technology and Labour. “Seven states in the North got ministers of state; and of the two ministries headed by your sons, I cannot take any decision on foreign policy and investments without their input,’’ the President said. The President also promised the leaders, comprising governors and ministers from the region, the President of Ohanaeze, Chief Nnia Nwodo, and representatives from the National Assembly, that he will visit states in the zone soon. “I want to assure you that I came into government with a clear conscience and I will also leave with a clear conscience,’’ he said. The President assured them that the region will benefit more from roads and coastal rail projects, which are of critical importance to the economy. He said the Second Niger Bridge, the East-West Road and the Coastal rail project, are receiving utmost attention from his administration. The President said counterpart funding from the Chinese government would substantially fund these projects, which when completed will improve the welfare, well-being and economy of the people in the region. “I know the Chinese are very competent in handling such projects and we will ensure that we get the money for the projects to take off.” http://punchng.com/my-govt-not-marginalising-south-east-buhari-tells-igbo-leaders/ Action speaks louder than...... .. |

Politics › Re: Buhari Told Us To Focus On The North Only- World Bank by Oksman(m): 6:23am On Oct 13, 2017 |
joeyfire: The President of the World Bank Group, Jim Yong Kim , said on Thursday that the bank had concentrated on the northern region of Nigeria in line with President Muhammadu Buhari’s request. Kim and the Managing Director , International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde , who spoke at separate press conferences in Washington DC, United States , also advised Buhari to invest in things that would enhance economic growth.
Kim said , “ You know, in my very first meeting with President Buhari he said specifically that he would like us to shift our focus to the northern region of Nigeria and we ’ ve done that . Now, it has been very difficult. The work there has been very difficult. “ I think Nigeria , of course , has suffered from the dropping oil prices . I think things are just now getting better. But the conversation we need to have with Nigeria, I think , is in many ways related to the theme that I brought to the table just this past week, which is investment in human capital . The percentage of the Gross Domestic Product that Nigeria spends on healthcare is less than one percent. ”
He added , “ Despite that, there is so much turbulence in the northern part of the country , and there is the hit that was taken from the drop in the oil prices . Nigeria has to think ahead and invest in its people. Investing in the things that will allow Nigeria to be a thriving rapidly growing economy in the future is what the country has to focus on right now . ”

tsdarkside: well...did you ever heard of kommissars??....
the chance that hitler would have defeated russia was very high....without the kommissars the common people would have gave up.... Well Kommissars were political appointees who headed organizations or departmentsvin the old USSR and were also posted to military units to educate organise and inculcate party communist doctrines into soldiers. They wielded enormous powers and could recommend the removal of commanders. So I would like you to educate me on the aspect of spying you mentioned, Tnx. |

”Six: There is no single Shari’ah court in South Western Nigeria where Muslims constitute the majority. This is contrary to what obtained in Yorubaland before the advent of the British. There were Shariah courts in Ede, Iwo, Ikirun, Ibadan, etc. Yoruba Muslims are now compelled to take their civil matters like inheritance, marriage, etc to Christo-Western courts. This is preposterous and unacceptable.
So Yoruba's are the ones against the introduction of shariah in the south west or what. Can this muslim population figure in the west be proved or is this a mere kite flying exercise? |
