I don't understand why people have to cut ties with most of their single friends once they get married or the single ones cutting ties with their married friends. Until now, it doesn't make sense to me.
This is one of the reasons why most marriages are boring.. how can your life revolve around just your partner? Didn't you have a life going before you got married? so why should marriage change that ?

Before you met your partner you had friends, you had a life going for you... why would you stop talking to your friends just because you are married? Except of course your friends do not add anything to your life. Except of course your friends are toxic to your growth. But, why should you wait until you are married before getting rid of the so called friends who are toxic to you ? You must have been crazy for keeping the kind friends you wouldn't be proud of later in life .
Anybody who stops talking to their single friends because they are married need to get their heads examined. Any single friends who stops talking to their friends just because they are married was never a friend.

I published a book after reading your thread. I know i should do like 5 to 10 books before expecting results but dollar rate is a bit high to buy the writing services required and no time to write.

You are right. I have a demanding full time job and I write exams. In Nigeria, many employers look for any excuse to offer you less money. And your bsc certificate is the minimum requirement for most jobs, and having the cert is often non-negotiable in Nigeria. It wont matter that you can do everything someone with a bsc. can do. Your ican will be something extra to give you an edge.

You are older and obviously more matured than the average undergraduate. You understand that you have exactly 4 years before you can't apply for many graduate trainee jobs. So with this plan, you can be aca and a graduate in 4 years, and you can apply to big fours or a bank easily - Something you cannot do without bsc. This is obviously better than starting ican in four years.

This is called capital. Uber invested capital when building the business. The partner invested capital when he bought his car. If the driver invests capital of 35k, he will NOT die. It will only make him more determined to make money.

I am not encouraging all partners to ask for advance but i cannot fault anyone who takes that route.

Driving on Uber is a business, not a job and in a business, financial risk should be expected. People unwilling to take this financial risk drive for companies for and earn a fixed pay of 50k/month without having to invest anything.

If you still disagree, i will agree with you.

Can you go and hire a car and not pay in advance? I am talking about the regular car hire service people do normally before Uber.

A car owner has the right to request payment in arrears or in advance. This is purely a business decision based on perceived default risk and you have no right to make him feel guilty about it.

What financial risk does the driver intend to take if he can not pay 1 week rent in advance? Do you not pay your landlord 1 year in advance?

I know he called it deposit, he could have just said the rent is payable in advance.
