It is normal to have whitish discharges (leukorrhea) passing through the vagina in an adult female. This is essential to keep the vaginal system working well. That's simple logic now.
The advertisers know the traffic NairaLand pulls and their profile ( tech savy youths ) and so know what they get in return. As for the earning of the owner just open each section page ( politics, sport, celebrities, health etc ) once a week and see the number of adverts appearing there a week or week in week out on average and then do a estimate by checking the weekly advert rate.

It can still pull enough earnings to keep the owner happy and going.

Nairaland is adapted for Nigerians because internet speed and cost in Africa generally and note that Africa isn't ready for a such advanced feature as some of us are demanding from Seun.

A dislike button and in-browser IM feature is too advanced for Africans?
We have enjoyed these on Facebook since 2011 and 2005 respectively.
We also need a feature to embed videos from social media sources so one doesn’t need to follow external links.
Most blogs already possess the feature talk less of a forum which sources its news from blogs and news websites.

To b Fair, FB had funding and insights from experienced people. NL had no such thing. It was a one man show, for a long time. I think, he now has some employees.

This is not an excuse anymore.
The tech sector, I don’t know about Naija, is highly competitive in developed nations.
If he slacks someone else will pick up very quickly.
He has the capital to hire experienced people even if they aren’t Nigerian.
If I was him I will prefer to hire non-Nigerians as they will have no reason to create a Nigerian-centric competing platform.

The current theme has its advantages and I don't blame the owner if he doesn't change it to a more modern looking one.
Nairaland is a site with huge traffic and any attempt to upgrade to newer themes will significantly increase the page size which when multiplied by average monthly traffic will lead to higher bandwidth ( uplink ) cost. The site uses content from other media houses quite often and may find AdSense or the likes difficult to comply with so sticks to the in-house advert system whereby traffic figure is what matters.

The mystery I can’t find an answer to is how he still gets advertisers when he never leaves his bedroom.
The people who use the platform normally prefer to troll discussion threads with their adverts than pay through the formal protocol.
How he makes money despite these baffle the ever living senses I possess.

I am a blogger and I understand why people do it but I won’t lie it annoys me all the same.

We all come here to read articles and opinions on this forum.
You can try Madukovich’s example: he writes on his blog and posts the articles here also, word for word.
I am a huge fan of his and read his topics religiously.
All this is despite never visiting his blog even once.
