I currently use an hp elitebook folio g2 1040p and I am looking to upgrade and I'm stuck on choices. Any suggestions on uk used laptops that cost between 290k and 330k will be very helpful. Don't mind hp or dell, don't mind any manufacturer in fact, I just need a laptop with a 14" screen. Any help is much appreciated. TIA |

Valto: Please I have a 45W laptop that lasts for about 7hours, charges full in <3hrs. Power supply here is erratic and I don't want to spend money always on fueling my generator it's big and I turn it on several times daily just for charging my laptop, please are there any budget friendly set ups I can invest in? Ideally 50k - 100k. Would love to be able to charge my laptop (and phone too) for at most 8hours a day. Any suggestions please, thanks in advance. |

Business / What Is The Most Reliable Wifi/mifi Provider In Nigeria. by okwyee(m): 2:26pm On Apr 18, 2018 |
Am not sure if I worded the title correctly. I use the internet a lot mostly for online hustles and so far I've been using my phone's hotspot for my laptop. I got fed up today while I was on a video conference call as the connection was really slow. Please If you own a WiFi or MiFi and you're based in Ilorin (preferably) which company do you recommend? I've heard good of smile, Airtel and co and I've also heard bad about them and I'll like to hear from you all now. What WiFi do you use? Is it reliable? Do they have affordable data plans? How much did you get the MiFi (I prefer to buy a MiFi as it's going to be for personal use only.) Thank you.. |

Travel / Re: Nigerians - Leave The UK (United Kingdom) ALONE!!! by okwyee(m): 8:31pm On Feb 24, 2018 |
I don't know if this counts. I've been freelancing for close to six months now I've worked with people from Australia and the UK. of all, the UK guys/company I've worked for are the best so far. Very honest and seem not to have a problem sending more clients my way despite the fact that I'm Nigerian and live in Nigeria. I don't know how it feels when one's there sha. this is my observation from the few I've met. |
Family / Re: Is My Sexual Preference Unholy? by okwyee(m): 10:28pm On Jan 20, 2018 |
Kitanayo my only advise to you is not to consult Nairalanders on sensitive issues like these. Most of them typing and judging you up there are hypocrites and very immature. Next time if you have a question like this or you still wish to seek better opinions, quora.com is where to ask it and make yourself anonymous before asking. There you'll receive better and more matured opinions than what our Nigerian experts are dishing out here.. Peace On my part, I understand that you need to satisfy your sexual urges as a human being. It's better you forget your hubby and find another man that'll love you. cause reading your story, I don't think he's coming back to you! 3 Likes |

Webmasters / Please Help! How Can I Receive Money From Australia In Nigeria by okwyee(m): 11:52am On Oct 24, 2017 |
Good morning, So I just competed a job for a client based in Australia and for almost 5 days now, I've been looking for how to get paid without having my client stress himself around and pay exorbitant fees because its a relatively small amount. AUD40 Please how can i get paid. Western union and moneygram fees are just too high. Payoneer dont let me request payment from Australia. I just found out about google wallet, Payza, World remit, transfermate etc, but i'm not sure if they actually work. If you work with foreign clients, how have they been paying you. I look forward to your responses thank you! |

AfricaNigerian: Erm, scratches head# I'm an Illustrator & brand designer not a web designer. The advise i gave you are just basics of what anyone that wants to delve into graphics design must know (web design included). There are tons of websites you can check na. friendosphere.com danielthegeek Nairaland (dot) net dhtml81 I can't really remember the URL of other nairalanders websites sha. Just go and take a web development course all together on codecademy, cousera, freecodecamp, udemy.. the list is endless. |

AfricaNigerian:It's better now but not good enough. You can't force this on yourself, you'll have to learn it to understand it. even if you use 2 colors, you might not still get it right. I suggest you study every kind of website you can find, and try to redesign them as daniel stated above! Go and do your home work |

Now seriously, I want to help you. You can do yourself a favor and learn to use one or 2 colors and in a more subtle way. I doubt you have ever read about color theory or graphic design theory because basic knowledge of it should tell you that less is more. dont use 2 contrasting colors, unless you want it to explode in your face, learn to use color compliments (of course youll understand this more if you read about color theory) Learn to use white space well and alignment too. notice that those websites i showed you used mostly 1 color and white, thats what you should aim for. Learn to use color shades a rough example is the image attached to this post, the backgrounds are just shades of the same colors of the pics i attached to where i quote Daniel above with the same text colors, notice how it becomes more readable and easy on the eyes? Nice try though, keep it up, you'll get better at it. keep practicing. If you're still finding trouble selecting colors, after reading up on color theory, head to color.adobe.com to choose colors and learn more. Look at how other websites are designed for inspirations from them, I wont advice you get inspiration from nairaland.com tho The next project you'll do, if you come up with a color blunder like this one, i will personally treat your fu-c-k up cheers hope this helps

OP, I really understand that you are starting out, that's why i wont butcher you. lets get straight to the point, call me Mr. Quack graphic Designer cause that's what i am now , the only thing i want to advice you on is your website colors. These are snapshots from some websites most of us know quite well, AND THEIR MAJOR COLOR PALETTES. On the facebook part, i intentionally didn't cut out the lady working out, bc i want to show you what i use facebook for if you would like to join the bandwagon What do you notice in common with their color usage?? 1 Like
