So, i want to start a blog and I'm stuck on something, Which is choosing a domain name... The thing is, I'm thinking of buying 3 domains for the website, for example: 1. AllIsWell.com 2. AIW.com (the abbreviated) 3. Aiw.com.ng What i don't know is 1. Can i buy 3 domain names for the same website? 2. If 1 above is possible, i want to buy the .com.ng because people say they rank higher in local search...so practically, i want to get ranked higher locally but dont want to be left out globally too.. 3. I want to also buy Aiw.com because it's easy to remember... So please what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing this? What are the problem(s) attached? Thanks. |

funny black Friday, on the radio was like- come
to shoprite for 50% discount on all goods..
blah blah blah..—on hearing this ehn my head
boot to awuf mode i and my friend hastily went
to shoprite during jumat, we even entered a
bike to get there quick before jumat ends, as
we reached eh... come an see market crowd,
no baskets sef (we luckily found one though)
people were buying drinks cornflakes and
indomie (in cartons) mostly, i quickly sensed
something wrong. my friend just hurried away
from my side and put 2 cornflakes, 2 breads,
Titus, geisha, thinking they were half the price..
i just told him id confirm outside from
someone that has paid he didn't want me to,
but I did anyways because if you use your
number 7 sef, it ain't possible, 50% discount
on all goods? and yes the advert from the radio
was fake.. i just zoomed through the crowd to
look for this guy before he pays. when i found
him basket don full.
I told him what i saw but he still insisted that
its true, I then told him to ask a staff, it was
then he believed, and as if he smoked weed he
just took the basket and started walking like a
robot as he was dropping them one by one, I
just thought he'll drop few, until he came back
with an empty basket, jeez.. I just started
laughing like a drunk and pleaded with him to
buy something, so it wont be like we came to
window shop.
after going upandan we finished shopping,
when we were about paying we saw a lady
arguing with the cashier about the 50%, me
and my friend just shouted, black Friday ooo,
everybody that understood started laughing..
she just took her basket angrily and stared
daggers at me like i was the only one laughing,
her face made me laugh the more, i just kept
staring at her her as she put everything back
to the stands..
I just looked back and saw a trolley loaded
with drinks and indomie cartons, the load was
as tall as me.. it was then I knew the drinks
were N400 cheaper and indomie N900,it was
then I realized that people were buying drinks
for Christmas and new year celebrations....
hahahah
I practically saved my friend from
embarassment |
GideonG:hey man, how can I meet you in school, im in 200lv. plant biology with an interest in programming |
Yoruba's, especially Ekiti are the worst with this attitude, every small thing its oloriburuku omo ale.. i live in ilorin now, they dont always curse, they'll just shout at you and tell you to mind the road and drive well (but in a harsh way sha) but its better than hearing oloriburuku especially from those okada people, i almost hit one one day like this na, only God saved him... mtchew |
FincoApps:Hey man, ah... I intend to start learning programming, web dev actually, so i want to buy a laptop with these specs 2gb ram, 500gb storage, Intel pentium, HP at 35k (its my friend's, so I've used it before and its okay and neat. and is it too expensive at 35k?). Please what Do you advise? I buy it or save up for a better one? (if this, what specs do you recommend?) And I intend to learn with this one, and probably do some small small personal projects with it (so I should get another one when I start doing some hardcore stuffs that is if this won't match what you recommend/what I intend doing). I would appreciate your reply very soon, before another interested buyer beats me to it.. Thanks man |

yes, I agree with you that MILs should not be wished death, but some are just so callous. My Grandma and my dads brothers would always visit us then (when my dad was still financially blissful) and she would pay attention to all their needs, but when he had problems and took I, my mum and my sis to my Grandma (bless her soul) to take care of us till he sorts himself out, she starved the hell out of us, eventually God answered our prayers and he's good again (courtesy of him and my mum's hardwork) then they started coming again, my Mum never fought her or said ill about her and my dad brothers, my dad still supports them in almost everything.. and they his brothers don't see my mum part of the helping equation (I really don't know the way they see her in that family), my mum is the reason why my dad's business is still stable — now to say I dislike my dad's family is a understatement (God help me when I'm going to get married, I'll prefer other people to stand as my dad's family for me than they), my dad now is trying his best to make me connected to them, but that cant possibly happen, only God can make me like them. what am I saying, some families are very hard to please, and it takes only a patient person to endure them.. personally, with all my mum has passed through in order for me to be a 'somebody', nothing can make me shut her out of my life (as it would please some wives) I'll gladly send my wife away instead that's why I keep praying to marry a good and understanding wife. and if that seems impossible, I would probably prefer my mum gets me a wife. We have no control over what happens in this world, but I pray I have no reason to see my mum as bad. and I pray my wife won't. |

ahem, I don't know how this my advise might look to you, it might be a good idea, maybe not.... once in highschool, my school introduced a program for us to get familiar with IT stuffs (fortunately, that's where I learnt most of what I know about the computer now, and also where I developed the passion for IT). though then most of what we were taught were boring because as you would expect in Nigeria more theory less practical although they tried in the practical aspect (at least still better than what I'm experiencing here I'm the university). Back to the point, We called the program Cisco because it was a Cisco initiative, and thereafter I got the 1st level certificate (it's called compitiA) we were mostly taught how the computer operates, operating systems, computer parts, networking, trouble shooting among many others which are the fundamental stuffs you have to know if you definitely have passion for IT. I'm not saying you should look for where to take-up the course because it's damn expensive, last I heard about it, it's more than 150k but I was lucky I had It in school because it was ridiculously cheaper... well that's well over two years ago... fast forward to 2 weeks ago, I met someone on FB, he's really into cyber security stuffs and he's just 15.. he uses his skills mostly for menacing, I don't blame him though, he's still young and don't really know the worth of what he can do.... but overall the guy's very good, communicating further with him, he introduced me to a website, https://www.cybrary.it I checked it out and I was really baffled, all what I learnt in highschool were there when I checked out their compitiA course and their courses are free and it's mostly video tutorials with some written ones too, further looking into the site, Many more courses, like pentesting etc. the website is just all about cyber security, with about 600k people using it, though I haven't explored the site that much but it looks like they've got an active forum too and issue certificate too once you complete their courses and exams. and they also have companies ready to people from the website (just check the site out and you'll see what I'm talking about). you have to create an account first to access their courses (of course) Though, the thing is all these IT stuffs are better understood when you're being taught by an expert, but my friend told me he knew all he knows from that site by watching numerous YouTube videos, courses from the website, reading many books and most importantly practicing... he recently showed me how to get a Wi-Fi password, which I tried at a café, since then I've been using their Wi-Fi for free (I feel guilty about this but I'll be leaving soon), he also told how he learnt how to hack emails with Python courtesy of a course he learnt there too.. so all in all, you should check that site, know if it works for you and continue learning with anything you can lay your hands on. if it doesn't, you could look for where to learn it like the people above me have suggested. Note: it all depends on you and your learning attitude.. goodluck. |
Yea Yea Yea, and the popular stories continue, GEJ and corruption, Buhari and reccession... The painful truth, there's basically nothing the sh'it heads up there can do about this.. . Period |
