Congratulations RollyA. I remember you. I am happy for you and wish you all the best. Could you let me know the reason you gave for applying for your child since you applied alone initially and probably stated you will be traveling without family? RollyA: Hi everyone, i am not sure anyone knows me on this thread, but i thought to drop my Canada study journey.
my timeline as much as i can remember goes thus:
Applied January 9 2021 , got refused February 2021, reason: Personal assets and financial status
Applied again April 2021, addressing the issues, got refused in August 2021 for same reason, personal assets and financial status
Began my journey to JR because i did all i could, everyone i chatted with on thread 19 didnt know whatelse i should do that i hadnt done.
So i consulted a lawyer, he read my notes and documents submitted, said i had a good case.
In my first application, the denial reason was that they could not find documents of financial proof, i remember i was asked to submit MBS but i declined, i was told it was not compulsory, at least their request letter said so, so i asked them to process with the traditional bank statements i provided, i was wrong, it was not an option, i was refused 2 days after i ignored their request.
So to improve my chances, i liquidated my fixed deposits in my first application, paid 95% of my tuition from it and reapplied, lo and behold, i was slammed with lump sum deposit despite my explanation and documentary evidence the lump sum were from my liquidated fixed deposits.
my journey to JR began in September, a month after my second refusal, IRCC refused to settle at first instance, i became pensive and put in a third application in December, finished paying my tuition, bit the bullet and did GIC, it was expensive but it was worth it. I did a third application because the case had gone quiet and i had already almost given up on it. i started questioning my choice to go through JR, my lawyer was in high spirits and was very much sure we will win.
He was not in support of my third application but i did it anyway. The third application was untouched from December 2021 to May 2022, it was as if they wanted to see the direction of my case in court.
So in that same May, the judge granted leave (this means the judge is interested and wants to hear the case which will most likely rule in my favor)
2 days after the judge granted leave, IRCC comes forward to settle and reopen my file. 2 days after they settled, my third application which was untouched gathered momentum, medical request dropped like a week after settlement, PPR a month after. the second application which was still reopened was withdrawn after i got PPR.
Immediately after i received my PPR, i put in my son's application and it was approved in 6 weeks.
we arrived BC last week and preparing for my resumption in January 2023.
I hope everyone on this journey and awaiting decisions draws strength from this post.
Cheers! |

I am not satisfied that the proposed studies would be a reasonable expense. Weighing the factors in this application. I am not satisfied that the applicant will depart Canada at the end of the period authorized fortheir stay. For the reasons above, I have refused this application).

Thank you cooooks. Lekiboboe used to have a list. cooooooks: From what I understand, either you go through people you know who are already in Canada, or you reach out to individual universities.
Some post which topics they have available and you can apply to the hosting professor.
Note that most PhD programs come with a (low) stipend: usually under $25,000 annually. Other academic jobs exist (invigilation, actually teaching, private tutoring) However, getting a Canadian PhD is great for any future Immigration applications or even moving to the States.

Anyways at least I am taking actions rather than looking for someone here to pour out my frustration on. I can see you are a very jobless person, you really don't have anything doing in life that is why you are always here even when you tried to stay away you realized your life revolves around people in this group and honestly I pity you, I pity you and I pray for you. Anyways dear idiot, have a good day, I don't have time to exchange words with you now because it is almost time for my morning prayer but drop them here alright I will be sure to respond back and I may not be so nice so be careful what you say. Thank you Bullstriker. bullstriker: That an application is submitted from Canada does not mean visa offices in Canada will process it. Applications are signed by visa offices based on the country of residence you indicated in your application. For example, suppose your family is in Nigeria, and you apply for a work/study/visitor visa for them. In that case, IRCC will assign their application to the visa office in Kenya, even if you submitted it from Canada.
Inside-Canada study permit submission is mainly for people who want to change their status, maybe from a work permit to a study permit or an extension of a study permit. If someone on a visitor visa applies for a study permit from Canada, the application will still be processed outside Canada unless that person meets specific criteria. One such criterion is when you take a course in Canada needed for admission to your intended program. The situation is different if your spouse comes to Canada on a visitor visa and wants to apply for SOWP while you are already in Canada as a full-time student.

On the IRCC website there are two processing times for those that are within Canada and outside Canadan. Does it mean that if I apply from within Canada for my family when my application is approved that their application will be processed faster? |

He can transfer the land to you by doing a deed of gift to you. A lawyer can help you with this. Manydethink: Thanx makano I am self sponsored but he wants to add d landed property as one of my properties documents
]Hello Manydethink
Are you a self sponsor or your hubby is sponsoring you?
You said your husband purchased the land and you wanna put it in your name, is it not supposed to be in your hubby name except he bought it for you though..
I will advise he puts it in his name or better still the Mr and Mrs will do i.e putting it in your names as couples..
