Firstly, your baby situation is very dicey. All they want now is a strong assurance from the father that he is truly in support of you going with the child since both of you are responsible for the child.

Kids are getting refuses these days on similar ground. It is a lot easier when both parents are traveling.

I would advise your husband to write another letter , in a way that he will convince the visa officer that he is fully in support of that child going with you. He should also state why he can not go now and probably state how he plans to join you after like 3 months.

He should also state he will be both financially and emotionally supportive while you are away. He can also state what arrangement you have both made for the child in the UK when you go to work or school depending on your situation. If he has good bank account let him also attach as proof that is financially able but NOT COMPULSORY.

Above all, while you do this, engage prayers and keep hope alive.

Molajim:
The consent letter provided during application stated both parents are responsible for baby. But father is giving full permission for the baby to travel without him I’m guessing that particular word caused this wahala.

Hello,
Wife already in the UK on Health care visa since last year December.

Maintenance ticked Yes on her COS by the employer then.

Is her dependant husband required to provide another proof of fund in this situation or exempted if he is applying now?

Your reply will help a lot.

Thanks

Need your advice sir/ma,
After sending paid mail this morning, the refusal letter dropped.

I am surprised at the reason the ECO gave. I used my salary account, and no other bulk deposit.

Only on two occasions last year September and February this year..100k credited from my husband and was narrated as kids expenses.

I feel cheated though
Please, what can I do?

No you can't use this result. The 3.5 in reading has spoilt this result. The minimum is at least 4.0 in all sections

Thanks boss for the clarification.

I really appreciate it... No retreat, No surrender!

4.0

Thanks for reply.

Please, is it as 4.0 overall score or minimum of 4.0 in all the bands.

Can I use the attached result?

I will appreciate your input.

Thanks

My experience today at Lagos passport office .
I did my capturing first week in March.

It was DIY route.

This morning I decided to visit the immigration office and hoping my passport would be ready (because in my dream I saw that it was ready)

On getting there this morning, I went straight to the collection room, there I met some people who also came for pick up.

We were asked to drop our collection slips.

When it was mine turn, the collection officer checked the system and wrote DU on my collection slips (meaning Data Uploaded) and advised me to contact my facilitator. He said, my passport can be printed today or tomorrow and that my file is okay and I do not have any problem whatsoever, that I only need to talk to my facilitator about the current status of my passport and that my facilitator will know what to do at this stage.

And remember, I said it was a DIY route, and no facilitator .
At this stage, I am a bit stuck .

Nigeria system is really frustrating.

Congrats brother.

Please, for your visa application, did you submit invitation from Turkey along with your application?

Jemi007:

I’m a first time applicant , but mine was different. Submitted since March 24th and got an email on the 13th April to pay for my ticket. And my passport is still with the embassy
Travel / Re: Cost Of A Nigeria International Passport by oladipop: 1:40pm On Mar 13, 2021
If you are considering DIY, you must first apply online and make payment. You then print and arrange other necessary documents and visit your selected immigration office for further processing.

Spicywify:
Do I need to appear at the immigration office for renewal? Is it compulsory to appear or I can just apply online?

benji93:
Why doesn't she want to apply for a Bachelor's program directly? Our people have been involving themselves in criminal/fraudulent activities, so the Turkish Visa is becoming increasingly harder to get. A lot of our people come here as language students, drop out and indulge in unscrupulous activities. Is there any reason why she doesn't want to apply for admisison into an undergraduate program?

@benji93, thank so much for coming to my aid. Firstly, we never thought she will be able to secure direct admission with only WAEC. Please are you saying there are STATE universities in turkey that offer direct admission without knowledge of turkish language? We also read that most State Universities in Turkey require YOS for admission. Please how do you see this?
Travel / Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by oladipop: 2:22am On Jul 30, 2020
First of all, I want to appreciate the great work here. Please help me with some clarifications.

My cousin will be 17 by December. She has been accepted to study Turkish language in Istanbul , Her plan is to progress to a bachelor degree after the language course.

Now my questions are:
1. Do Turkish embassy grant visas for Language course?

2. Considering her above age, does she stand a good chance in receiving visa?

3. Will proof of accommodation be required for her visa application (the university does not offer accommodation)

4. And lastly, must she also notarize her waec even though she is going for Language course?

I will appreciate your contributions.

Does it mean that no school in Lithuania can admit student from Nigeria with only O`LEVEL?
Has anyone ever got admission with only O`LEVEL?

I will appreciate contributions from bosses in the house

Glad to read your contribution boss

Her WASSCE contains 1 A1, 4 B3, 1 C4, 1 C6.
Is this good enough please to gain admission at Klaipeda or can she apply for foundation course at Klaipeda, will she be considered? (I saw they also offer foundation courses)

We are afraid of losing application fee again.

Please I need your advice.

Advice is needed urgently please

My sister application for bachelor degree got rejected by VMU, she applied with WAEC WITH GOOD GRADES, the below is the email copy received;

Your application to Vytautas Magnus University regarding [BA] International Politics and Development studies has been rejected.

I regret to inform you that after reviewing your application documents the Admission Committee of the university has made the decision that you are not eligible for bachelor degree studies as your previous education results are too low and overall motivation.

We wish you all the best to find the education fitting your needs and future prospects.

Vytautas Magnus University

PLEASE IS THERE ANY GUARANTEED SCHOOL SHE CAN APPLY THAT CAN GRANT ADMISSION and like i said she has WAEC ONLY.

Your suggestions and advice will be highly appreciated.

Not all schools required that.
Schools like VDU and VMU have the right to assess your qualifications without skvc

Thanks for taking your time to attend my question, it is highly appreciated

[quote author=Jukebox5 post=78208282]yes you need the SKVC certificate for admission processing. And you don't need to authenticate your docs at the aforementioned... Just certify it at the court or a notary public that is a Lawyer.....
I hope i have been able to address your questions. [/quote..

Please house I need some urgent clarifications!!!

Is it compulsory that applicant gets certificate of recognition first from SKVC before applying to any school in Lithuania?

Secondly, to apply for Certificate of recognition from SKVC, is it compulsory to authenticate documents at ministry of education and ministry of foreign affairs or will only high Court certified true copies attestation do?

I will appreciate your contributions.

Hello house,
Please how can I reach South Africa high commission in Lagos on telephone?

I applied for tourist visa with my staff last month, our passports and documents were collected and put in same envelope at the Vfs because I was the one sponsoring both of us and will be traveling together.

Surprisingly, last week only my passport was returned and visa granted, till now my staff passport not returned and when I track it says under review.

I don't know why they decide to process only mine while her own is still pending.

decode:
Admission and Visa is not a problem.

If you can cope financially leaving your job, I suggest you travel abroad for your programme. BSc is 3 yrs in Italy. You will easily gain admission for hotel management related courses with your resumé.

But if otherwise, try do your programme in open University. Or apply to a private University around your area (not the likes of covenant or Babcock where you will be caged). There is a good chance that you will graduate in time and with good results than in a public school. Distance learning in all these public schools are not the best.

You will need the good result to get into a master's program abroad. Unless you're planning for an MBA or MSc in Tourism/hotel management related fields where your work experience will count.

Thanks boss for your comprehensive response!!
I will work on the advice given.

I am so grateful!!

Special greetings to all bosses in the house!!

I finished secondary school in 2004 but could not further my education then due to lack of fund. That forced me to look for job and eventually I was able to get hotel job and ever since I I have worked in different hotels and God has been so faithful.

Additionally, during this period of working, I have obtained different trainings and Non-academic certifications in hotel management. At the moment, i am 32 years old, Married with a child, my current job position is hotel manager.

Now I am considering having formal education and traveling out of the country. So studying in Italy comes to mind.

Please do I have any chance of securing admission and study visa for undergraduate program in Italy considering my age and my situation Or do I wait and enrol for a bachelor degree here through distance learning and after I graduate I apply for Masters in Italy.

I look forward to your responses.

Thanks and God bless Nairaland(ers)
