As Hardline Brexiteer Boris Johnson take the keys to the controversial residence in 10 Downing Street today, the new Prime Minister, just like his predecessor--Theresa May, will also take the keys to the chauffeur-driven Prime Ministerial car --- an armoured Jaguar XJ Sentinel.
Johnson, a former Mayor of London and British Foreign Secretary, known for driving around in cars like Toyota Previa and Citroen AX, will now be ferried around with a luxury car that boasts of heated and cooled rear massage seats, night vision, a 20 speaker Dolby 7.1 surround sound system, two HD televisions and a state-of-the-art communication system for conference calls.
https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190724_192017_879-600x379.jpg
The 3.3 tonnes B7 level/VPAM9 classified Sentinel also doubles as a rolling fortress, as it can withstand a blast from 15kg of high explosives and sustained gun and grenade attacks.
Just like the U.S Beasts and Russian made Aurus Senat, the British-made luxury car is also equipped with an independent, self-contained oxygen supply to protect the Prime Minister and other passengers against chemical or biological attack. It can also release tear gas and other crowd dispersants when the need arises.
https://autojosh.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/IMG_20190724_193101_836.jpg
The Sentinel is powered by a 5.0-litre V8 petrol engine producing 503 bhp. This engine will take this humongous car from standstill to 60mph in 9.4 seconds and a top speed of speed of 121 miles per hour (195 km/h).
The current fleets, which are estimated to have cost up to £300,000 or about ₦136m, was first seen in use on 13 May 2010, when newly appointed Prime Minister David Cameron arrived at 10 Downing Street. The armoured Jaguar Sentinel is escorted by Range Rover or Land Rover Discovery vehicles and police motorcade outriders.
https://autojosh.com/new-uk-prime-minister-boris-johnson-will-use-armoured-jaguar-xj-sentinel-as-official-car/ Let's see if he would order a renovation and painting of his new office, on like our own local director generals - ceos, national coordinators, executive secretaries and chairman of board's and commissions at least we can see his number plate is not covered with plate covering and his convoy is not more the 3 cars 4 max, this is the complete opposite of the hunger for power nigerians find themselves craving and doing |

cooltola: We do have a lot of creative footballers who can play any positions and you are very right. But there is also reality and the reality is that making it to the national team is based on who you know , who know you , how much you get ,how much you must settle the boss, agents and so on. Unfortunately most of those who make it in the national team are very average, only a Very few are talented. The problem is that the Okochas, Kanus, and any quality caliber footballers are already frustrated, and trying to make it to Europe. Making it to Europe no be beans Then we have to continue to sack as many coaches as possible and sack the nff, once the opportunity avails itself - 4 years and this is what the nff and coach can manage to put together - this is rubbish raised to the power 10 |

cooltola: Ok please if you were the coach, how team will you assemble? It is not as easy as you think to assemble a team, there is a lot of politics going with money involved. First thing first, Ist issue or problem is we don't have an attacking mid fielder, or a creative mid-fielder, we don't have natural left and right wingers and the amount of ball passes can be counted before it is lost to the opponent - 2ndly they run more then the ball, the ball is supposed to move more then the players which means you either make sure the ball is always within the players and not kick and run, (check out teams that win tournaments), and this also means ball control is very important - we have over 200m nigerians do we want to say we can't find 22 good players from that quantity? Why do you think we always nearly have BP when nigeria is playing it's because they play kick and run so when they are running we become anxious - why is it that when we watch Spain barca or liverpool play we relax and love the game it's because the ball is always within the players and they have creative wingers and a mid field |

Even almighty Brazil do struggle sometimes. Which kind of chance again 4 years and this is what he put together - the team, he has put together, what can they do in future? They cannot last another nations cup qualifiers, talkless of nations cup or world cup qualifiers -they were panel beaten together, only for this competition- He put rubbish together, and we should praise him? "It will change this community significantly by enhancing the security and safety at night and contributing to sustainable community development"
In his remarks, Mr Jude Ohanele, the founder of Development Dynamics, said that the project was strategically conceptualised by Development Dynamics to make Ezeagbogu a safer community at night.
"There is a renewed sense of safety and security in Ezeagbogu since the completion of this project, especially around Eke Ezeagbogu which is the center of economic activities in this community. This has increased the number of business hours available to the people here and influenced positively their struggle against hunger and poverty. It has also made the nights in Ezeagbogu safer, " Ohanele disclosed.
The Highpoint of the event was the conferment of a Chieftaincy title of “Ezi Enyi Ndi Ezeagbogu” on the Japanese Ambassador by the Traditional Rulers of the Community.

Foreign Affairs › Re: France Imposes Digital Tax On Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon by olajide8(m): 4:08pm On Jul 13, 2019 |
Milllz: What happened is very clear, China wants control of everything in their country, they outrightly banned google, Facebook never stood a chance. They’re a big market, so big that, these banned companies would be hundreds of billions richer today if not for the ban. But no one said anything against it. It was unfair trade practices.
The European Union wanted a common tax but they couldn’t agree on anything for the digital tax. I’m sure it’s because countries like Luxembourg where these companies move their money from because of low tax don’t want anything to do with the tax.
No one can say these taxes weren’t targeted at American, even the names alone are all American. The good thing is that, this is the wrong time to try to cheat Americans. Trump is there to fight, left, right and center. He has also instructed his team to begin investigation. Whether Europe is trying to punish them for the Iran deal, they’d still lose, with the way Trump is handling China, I was surprised France would make such a move now. You don’t need a soothsayer to know that Trump will give them back the tariff ten-fold and keep other European countries at bay. Don’t forget these countries keep fining them billions of Euros regularly for even the flimsiest reasons.
And for Huawei, I don’t have anything to say. I laugh when people say they’ll create their own OS. Sometimes I’d reply and ask them, would you buy a phone without maps, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, google etc Well they have their wechat webo etc moreso smart phone business is not really their thing (my personal opinion) they would rather play in the manufacturing of the phones parts, then the development, now do you observe the queue they normally experience, at least they show it on BBC, when iphones develops a new brand for sale in Taiwan china? 2days people sleep in front of the iphone offices, to spend their hard earned money - personally I believe they are smart - by trying to reduce capital flight, and personally I feel it's all part of boardroom business politics which is not friendly - it's all about facts and numbers sentiments don't play there - if we look at it trump is trying to bully all those in the boardroom he is supposed to negotiating with, but he has failed to see they have alternatives and they are more patriotic then africans - trump doesn't want taxes levied against them, but there are so many barriers to trade in America it's as bad as standardizing items and regulating how they can get into the US - eg AGOA!!! they levy restrictions and taxes on others from perfumes to jewelry, and taxes on businesses owned by Americans in other countries - as a leader with a population of 1billion people, it would be suicidal of him to open the same market to boardroom predators that would tell you who can use their products in any country and at what price - and that is why Xi has been able to do reduce unemployment and also develop simultaneously |
Foreign Affairs › Re: France Imposes Digital Tax On Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon by olajide8(m): 4:49pm On Jul 12, 2019 |
Milllz: I hope you know Google, Facebook and lots of American companies have been banned in China for many years now and no one is screaming foul. Stop giving Huawei undue credit. China has a market, let's not try to be biased about it - 1billion people with the power of manufacturing for export to the world - but if they (Google and co) are not feeling the impact of the ban in China - it means the European and other markets (Africa, south america, India and the middle east) are actually where, they are making their (Google facebook and co) largest revenues - and if other European countries follow suit, it is certain their revenues, would be hit by this tax levy - and this could have a more damaging impact on profitability, now imagine if France could raise more income from this tax, Greece would follow suit, Spain Germany Netherland and it would continue like that, numbers don't lie - honestly speaking I am not moved by who claims what, only the facts and figures - fundamental analysis and trends lines |
Foreign Affairs › Re: France Imposes Digital Tax On Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon by olajide8(m): 5:52am On Jul 12, 2019 |
Onyemadonald: The French Parliament on Thursday adopted, by a final vote of the Senate, the introduction of a tax on `GAFA’, making France one of the first countries to impose a tax on digital giants.
The GAFA tax refers to an acronym for Google, Apple, Facebook and Amazon.
The digital tax is endorsed by the opposition-controlled upper house, paving the way to the eurozone second largest power to unilaterally tax internet giants by three per cent on much of their digital sales in France.
This is related to advertising, websites and the resale of private data.
The tax was initially adopted by the National Assembly, the lower house of parliament, on July 4.
GAFA targets digital companies with global annual sales of more than 750 million euros ($845.6 million) and sales in France of at least 25 million euros.
Introduced in France from Jan. 1, this three per cent tax on digital gross sales would help to collect 400 million euros this year and 650 million euros by 2022.
