They don't pick automatically o. They still need to pass through the data structures and algorithms interviews. Clement founder of algo expert studied maths at UPenn and he had to grind CTCI to get a job at Google. He also worked at Facebook before creating algo expert.
People downplay the importance of a computer science degree. Imho that's the second most important degree in the world after medicine and it's related courses. It's possible to learn coding on your own but computer science goes far more than just coding toy apps. Data structures and algorithms, systems design and discrete mathematics are just few of the things people study in computer science.
I have a useless engineering degree and honestly knowing what I know today if I had the opportunity to go back to the university to start afresh I would do a degree in computer science. I am trying to get in for a master's and it's surprising how restrictive the field is even to fields of engineering. If you don't mind Information Technology, NOUN offers it, and I think they accept Bsc in engineering, mathematics and physics |

BabeX: I just received my TEF results and I scored as follows Writing C1, Listening C1, Reading C1 and speaking B2 (279). I studied for 5 weeks and was confident I could do well as I had done French in secondary school and was one of the best students in French class. To study I used the tips I read here on Nairaland, Youtube, Prepmyfuture app and listened to TV5 everyday. I am very disappointed that I was given a low B2 score in speaking given how hard I practiced over the 5 weeks, I do not think my speaking is that bad as I can hold conversations with French speakers I meet. I have been informed that I can remark my exam. I want to know has anyone one successfully remarked any sections of their TEF exam? Thank you. Login into your ccip account there's a place for remark |

God bless as I await your response. I don't know about CIPM but NOUN will take minimum of 1 year, about 160k. Not really stressful but between 13 and 19 papers to graduate 1 Like |

I want to apply for the passport as a fresh applicant and I really want to use the DIY route but I have some questions: 1) Has anyone done theirs at either Ilorin NIS office, Osogbo NIS office or Ibadan NIS office 2) If you have, how is the process, hope using the DIY route won't have any complications cos I don't trust these NIS personnel
N.B: Please treat as urgent, ejoor DIY doesn't hurt in fact the best, if you encounter any issue or anyone ask you for money, send them a message on twitter. It's efficient |

Okay so back with details...
Btw I thought we’d be given time to study the and prepare questions, I found out that was false and you’d start immediately.
EE, a lady shopping in the supermarket found a weird object at the fruitS and vegetables stall It is not useful to teach computer courses to older people.
CO and EO, i can’t really remember but study the strategy to pass it through past questions one or two old ones might pop on.
I have prayed that I get a minimum of B2 superior in all of the tests, because hmmm. Bon chance! They hardly give 30 seconds sef in Lagos |

Please what do you think is a good price for private speaking classes? My main problem is speaking....I have no problem with listening & reading...my writing is okay and can easily be improved but this speaking is such a huge issue for me. Institut Français in Abuja is telling me N4,700 per hour (I know they are very good with tutoring in that school). But I’m wondering if that amount is too much. I had lessons with another tutor for 3,700 for 2 hours 3 times a week but to be honest, he wasn’t a great tutor. Do you think my speaking lessons should be at least 2 hours daily with a tutor? Or 1 hour is okay. To be sincere, a good price depends on your capacity and the number of hours used, however, 4700 per hour is outrageous in my opinion. It depends on your previous speaking level, 1 hour daily is okay ( this should be different from your normal class o) don't focus on one side and neglect others o, they're all very important. Focus on your weakness and don't forget your strength 1 Like |

Eli1: I am writing the TEF exam tomorrow morning. Franchement, i’m quite frightened as I have only been learning French for only 7 months.
Anyway i’ll be posting the questions passed after the exam.
A question for those who have done the exam in the past please, does the EO test come immediately after the other tests? Like 10 minutes after, the first to finish would be the first to do the speaking while a list would be used for the rest Bon chance! |
