Germans want to nick and win this match. They are down on energy. We are the only team going for it now. They just want to catch us on a counter or free kick. Typical Germans.

This set of Falconets have football brain. They seem to be aware of the dangers and are matching up. They only need to get their final passes together and we will score.

Yoruba is the official language to the team. Team doing very well to match Germany well. Germans will tire out.

Official teams. Only one German player is shorter than 170cm. They will fancy their chances at corners and long balls.

BascoVanVeli:
I hope temperature helps us too but last time water breaks worked against us. Seemed like we were always in charge of the game when they called for break but the other team always comes out stronger. Almost like in boxing when you have a guy against the ropes and the bell rings. Our coaches have to take those periods seriously and ensure the girls are even more focused and motivated.
You just touched on a very key aspect. I feel the water breaks almost always works against us. Moreso, officiating in the women's game is cult like. Most of the European/American refs seem to be blatantly biased. I remember our last game at U20 women world cup. The ref issued EIGHT yellow cards to Nigeria. The Spanish girls were just diving anyhow and the ref was obliging with yellow cards. We got a red card for 2 dives. I do not think FIFA has moved forward in that aspect. The stereotype of Africa being the physical team is false, especially if you watch European teams of recent.

I will take a draw tbh but let's see how things go.
Same! The matches played so far has shown that European teams are superior. The only advantage we will have today is the weather. The heatwave in Europe now is on, and the time we play is 13.30, the peak of high temperature.
I think that advantage will be as massive as the Nigeria vs Iceland game in Russia. Based on that, I am having a feeling for us equalising towards the end of the match.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 8:23pm On Aug 05, 2018
Ghana lost 3-1 due to 3 first half goals. This is what you get when you dont play friendlies. The girls will bounce back, as they looked good in the 2nd half.

Nigeria play tomorrow, and I expect a good game.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 1:23pm On Aug 05, 2018
Formation is going to be a straight 4-5-1, or 4-4-1-1. The falconets should have enough to trouble the Germans tomorrow. I expect us to surprise the Germans with our football sense.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 8:24pm On Aug 03, 2018
To further show that the NFF is not serious about the falconets..... Amaju Pinnick was in Asaba today watching athletics, while the falconets allowances are pending.
The same things this Pinnick did 2 years ago which resulted in Nigeria not going past group stage, he is repeating. It will take a miracle for Nigeria to qualify from the group if the NFF do not immediately do something drastic.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 10:22am On Aug 01, 2018
I dont expect the ladies to do much. They are not motivated by NFF. The only time they get anything from NFF is when 90% of it will be embezzled by NFF.
Amaju Pinnick is in Asaba with the athletics people, while his girls leave Triol for France tomorrow. The girls have not been paid allowance for winning 6 matches in the qualifiers. Camping allowance not being paid since they started camping. Only when the minister visited did the NFF pay 7 days allowance. The girls have been in camp for months!
It is a big shame. The girls had to beg for sanitary pads from team officials. It is even more shameful that the minister who went to rescue them was ridiculed because one of the players knelt down to count money (gift, not camp allowance).

PoliticsRe: Ekiti 2018 Governorship Election Results: INEC Official Announcement Updates by olapluto(m): 12:37am On Jul 15, 2018
Surely, PDP will win Ikere Ekiti, as there is strong tribal following for Eleka. Apart from Ikere, and Ado (marginal for PDP), I dont see PDP winning any other LG.

This is a damning indictment on GEJ. He absolutely rigged 2014 for Fayose, and did it brainlessly. 16-0 against an incumbent?

Breaking news. First LGA officially declared. Ilejemeje. APC won by about 230 votes.
1-0 to Fayemi.

PoliticsRe: Ekiti Election: How APC And PDP Stand In The 16 LGAs In Ekiti by olapluto(m): 9:21pm On Jul 13, 2018
Ekiti elections are going to be easy to win or lose. The votes are not much. In fact, the winner will probably have about 300,000 votes. That is a workable number. The strongest hold of PDP or APC can be identified, and effectively suppressed. The other places, votes could be bought. With federal might swinging towards APC, I expect them to suppress PDP strongholds and massively amplify APC strongholds.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti Election: 'FG Moves N18bn Cash Through Akure Airport' - Lere Olayinka by olapluto(m): 3:31pm On Jul 12, 2018
If truly APC is able to buy Ekiti people, then the blame should be on Fayose for putting his people up for sale. All those 200 naira bread empowerment, stomach infrastructure, free kerosene, free petrol, etc just put a price on Ekiti voters. If I have 100 million USD, I will be a governor in Ekiti with a landslide victory.

Btw, why is Eleka so quiet? Is the guy alive? does he really want to be governor?
PoliticsRe: How Fayemi Was Attacked In 2014 By GEJ/PDP Led Federal Government by olapluto(m): 11:19am On Jul 12, 2018
2014 was really really poor. In fact, APC has not done 0.001% of what PDP did with Fayose. Fayose was not the governor, but he was controlling the police, soldier, etc.
It is no surprising that Fayose is apprehensive of what could befall him. He really has bitten more than he can chew. All these people pitying Fayose were the same shouting 16-0.
PoliticsRe: Fayose cries out, Heavy Shooting Now Going On In Front Of Ekiti Govt House by olapluto(m): 12:17pm On Jul 11, 2018
Fayose, chief propagandist for the enemies of Nigeria. We only need to look at the antecedence of both Fayose and Buhari. The Buhari I know will not do what the Fayose I know is accusing him of.
PoliticsRe: Ekiti: Our Hotels Are Jam Packed With Various Thugs, Fayose Cries by olapluto(m): 3:23pm On Jul 10, 2018
Fayose forgot 4 years ago. The whole Nigeria watched as he used federal might to muzzle opposition, so much he went on to claim a 16-0 victory.

This should be a lesson for all politicians in Nigeria. The precedence you set will catch up with you and your children. Fayose should better apply for Libya visa on Monday. I heard a new officer in EFCC from Konduga has been stationed on Fayose's case. They say that officer once punched a cow to death.

Jokes apart... Fayose really has to go. He rides on impunity too much. I hope the people of Ekiti get it right on Saturday. Not paying salary but promising touts 50k per night is really rubbing it in.

Rasheedat Ajibade is captain of the Nigeria U-20 women's team
She will appear in her fourth FIFA competition at France 2018
Capped at senior level, she could also feature at France 2019
Rasheedat Ajibade seems destined for a career at the very top. Still only 18, the FC Robo player is creating a buzz on the Nigerian football scene, having earned her first senior call-up in February after starring for her country's U-17 and U-20 sides. Named as Nigeria's young female player of the year shortly after her recent promotion, Ajibade continues to break new ground at a remarkable pace.

Fortunately, the youngster feels right at home when moving quickly. Ajibade is no stranger to 'getting her skates on', having earned success in rollerblading before switching sports. "That was my number one hobby," she explains. "I put a lot of time into it and performed at a very good level. I was even champion of the state of Lagos. Then football entered my life."

Ajibade was ten years old when she took off her skates and decided to focus on her ball skills. "I found the game fun and a way of bringing people together," she says. "I missed the whole 'team spirit' aspect when I was rollerblading." Joining FC Robo in search of that shared experience, she soon caught the eye of Emmanuel Osahon Orobosa, who convinced her to dedicate her talents to football.

Player Profile

Born: 8 December 1999 in Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria
Height: 5'5
Position: Attacking midfielder/forward
Club: FC Robo
Idols: Marta and Cristiano Ronaldo
He was soon proved right. Ajibade made a stunning impact, as she honed her abilities, breaking into Nigeria's U-17 team before stepping up to the U-20s – and contesting three FIFA Women's World Cup finals across those age categories. She also finished top scorer in the African qualifiers for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016, and promptly repeated the feat on the road to France 2018 by finding the net in all six games.

"We play a very attacking style of football, which suits me perfectly," she says, explaining away her qualifying record with admirable modesty. Ajibade's eye for goal seems to know no bounds, however, and after making her senior debut in February, she marked her second cap with a hat-trick against Senegal. "I really didn't expect to be called up by the Super Falcons," she recalls. "It was a wonderful surprise, and obviously, it was an experience I really enjoyed."

Her focus now is on shining once again for the U-20s. The 2018 edition of the U-20 Women's World Cup is looming on the horizon, and Ajibade is hungry to impress on the global stage. "Every time I take part in this event is another dream come true for me," she says. "I can't wait to test myself against the best and to show the world what I can do. There's no better opportunity."

Judging by her progress so far, the No10 can expect an even better chance next year – at the FIFA Women's World Cup France 2019™. "I hope so. If it happens, that would be another dream come true, but one that's even bigger, more beautiful and more extraordinary."
