I will say the tailor did a good job. She ordered a rag, she got a rag. |
It is 144 days to the U20 world cup. We know our opponents, we have not started any preparations. No plans out yet. No camping thoughts. NFF with graveyard silence. Serious teams have already started preparations. |
Fayose is a typical hollow bully. When he meets his match, he cowers. It is always easy to dish out, but it is some people cannot take half of what they dish out. |
bidexiii:They were well prepared. |
You kill SF personnel and his colleagues came for you. RIP in advance. Until that death, I can only imagine the torture you will endure. |
Individually, falconets are good to go. However, I fear the NFF will sabotage them so much that they will exit after group stage. As someone who studiously follow NFF and our female teams, I am almost sure of how things will play out. Camping will be local, with the players being psychologically battered before the tournament. Friendly games will be against Ghana or some lesser teams, heck even some boys U17 teams in Kubwa or Garki. The arrangements for camps in France will be shoddy, perhaps the flight will first take the girls to Ethiopia before heading to Paris, with the girls wasting hours at airports. Some luggages may go missing, with some girls having to borrow underwear in France. We lose our first game, win 2nd and draw 3rd. NFF quickly comes out to take the moral stand and ask the girls to apologise to Nigerians like the hapless U17 were made to do. |
Nigeria, Germany, China, Haiti in group D. Group of death. First Match: Nigeria vs Germany on the 6th of August at about 12:30pm Nigerian time. Toughest match in the group for Nigeria. 2nd Match: Nigeria vs Haiti on Thursday 9th August at 3:30pm. We should win and have high goal difference. 3rd Match. Nigeria vs China on Monday 13th August at 3:30pm. If we qualify from this group, then we play either USA, Japan or Spain. |
Daejoyoung:Nigeria, China, Germany in same group! |
Nigeria in Group D with Germany.... |
Watching the draw for U20 WWC live now. Mikael Silvestre and some ladies. Nigeria is in Pot 2, which means we're near the highest ranked teams. We may fall in a really tough group, but we should cope. Rashidat Ajibade, Famuditi and co can cope. |
Textbook case study of ethics and moral justification. Save Chibok girls and risk more kidnaps and soldier deaths? Or Ignore Chibok girls to prevent more evil. BBOG forced the FG's hands into the first option. I hope we learn our lessons from this. Dapchi girls....I'm sorry. |
I see the difference between elaborate and effective. UK security is always trying to be as effective with minimal show. USA likes to be elaborate, though not always effective. Before the PM goes somewhere, MI5 has already laced the roads with agents and they are in control of the situation. |
I can confirm by inspection that right now, over 40% of IPOB members are DSS boys. DSS has networked deep into IPOB. |
NFF is not interested in anything other than super eagles A team. In fact, Amaju Pinnick has been a failure since day 1, but he seems to have oiled the palms of sports writers. I knew the NFF would not drop money even it is just to pay hotel accommodation for female teams. Shamefully, NFF is trying to demonise female players who protested against them. I am waiting because it will backfire terribly. |
olapluto:Some things are constant in Nigeria. |
More Dapchi details: http://saharareporters.com/2018/02/23/how-boko-haram-attack-kidnap-dapchi-schoolgirls-occurred-%E2%80%93-residents-school-staff “It was about prayer time, and we were in the mosque when we began to hear sounds of vehicles moving at unusual speed around the streets,” he said.90 girls. New bargaining power for a weakening BHT. So DSS, NPF, Army, Airforce, Civil defence, etc were all sleeping for the whole of 3 hours? |
jpphilips:Believe me, we must rank top in having the most incompetent administrators in the world. In fact, BHT should demand our central bank now. Politics has eaten our brains rotten! Civilians will die, soldiers will die, BHT will die, we will lose money simply out of negligence. |
I dont believe Nigeria will be represented in that friendly tournament in Turkey. NFF is always broke. |
No university degree, no sense of appreciation because wealth of our country was handed to her on a platter. Nigerians stay awake. Madam Alakija is no role model. Like most stinkingly rich people in Nigeria, they have robbed Nigeria. |
solonnachi:The NFF clearly lack sound leadership or organisation to handle a sound youth development system. The worst thing was for the players to apologise. Somehow, they are trying to shift the blame on innocent 17 year olds. The coach, the team managers, NFF and Ayo Omidiran are the people who should be apologising. |
If you make the mistake of calling any of those numbers dropped, then sorry is your middle name. Your location will impact greatly on any advice. Where do you stay? Are you willing to travel? With such amount of money, the easiest sector will be food/agric. If you're in the South West, I advice you to buy cheap goats, rear them for few months and resell. |

Bala Nikyu has never done well even with good players. He must be wetting some palms in the NFF. I believe our U17 are already out anyway. |
Cameroon will end another Nikyu tenure on Sunday. That man should not be coaching any serious team. |
Kabiyesi still hitting his target at 90. |
This problem is easily solved by Nigerian law. If any farmer kills a cow, they should be made to pay the price of that cow plus extra to the herdsmen. If any herdsman leads cows to destroy a farm, they should pay. If herdsmen kill, they should be tried for murder. If they rape, try them for rape and give them lengthy sentence. By them time that law is strictly applied for 12 months, the bad people will be in prison and trust will develop between herders and farmers. As it is now, the herdsmen seem super emboldened, and they have been showing this for the past 2 years. It must also be said that resident Fulanis are good people. It is the migrating ones that are deadly. Some of them are armed robbers on highways, as long as they have their AK47. |
Proudlyngwa:Well, the herdsmen are alleged to burn the lands AFTER the animals have fed on them. It is easier for fresh grass to grow after that. Fresh grass is available 2-3 weeks after burning the farm. |
12submarine:Herdsmen have guns, they have no guns and they had been warned against violence. This is the tricky bit for farmers. Most farmers are peaceful people who just want to live and let others live. In fact, most farming communities are the most peaceful. In Oke-Ogun area, the farmers at one time started poisoning the leaves of their crops and many cows died. The herdsmen then started avoiding that area. If the government is not going to effectively curtail the herdsmen, then I am very sure the farmers will protect themselves effectively. |
Video On Fulani Herdsmen Vs Farmer (Investigative Report) This video is an eye opener. This is how wars start. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KeYbrtVA1YE I come from a family of cocoa farmers and it is cocoa money that sent me abroad 1st time I travelled. I cannot imagine how herdsmen can destroy cocoa farm worth millions and no arrests are made. Video credit: ITV Benin. Seun lets have a healthy discussion about this. |
I just listened to the briefings yesterday from the theatre commander. It was confirmed that the NAF actually destroyed its own helos and it was not BHT that destroyed it. |
Anyone on facebook should check out the videos on the page of Alaafin of Oyo. Just last week, he called a meeting of herdsmen, farmers, police and other security outfits. In the open, he asked all parties to say their grievances and the resident herdsmen said a lot. They actually spoke fluent Yoruba and said they are also baffled by the migrating fulanis who do not come to do anything but to destroy. |
Deep punch punching deep. If they keep this pace, BHT might become almost totally insignificant by the end of the year. |
It is very simple. Wealth is generated by production and services. We do not produce much in Nigeria as our industries are mostly down. MOST rich Nigerians make their money from the populace. With a few millions, it is possible to infiltrate government pocket to get billions...e.g oil wells, subsidy payments, LEKKI TOLLGATE collections... |
