The defence is pretty okay.... But the likes of veteran's Onome Ebi 35yrs and Faith Ikidi need to be replaced.
Ugo Njoku is currently out of the pecking order..
I think we need a mix of experience. Central defenders dont need pace that much in the women's game. I'll start with Onome Ebi and Ikidi in central defence. Believe me Faith Ikidi has been doing well as a central defender for her club. She still has some pace she brings from the wing back position.
If we sort out the defence, then the attack is pseudo-ready. The front 5 is picked by default, but it will be nice to see Ihezuo come fight for her place.
Also, Alaba Jonathan still as number 1?

Superfalcons players are on Top form, The following players scored for their various club in Sweden and China over this weekend... ..
Asisat Oshoala. 3
Oghonna Chukwudi. 2 and 1 assist
Rita Chikwelu. 1
Ngozi Okobi. 1
Ebere Orji. 1
Halimatu Ayinde. 1
The coach's job is made easier when the players come to camp in form. He only needs to work on tactics. I see a lot of confidence from the South Africans, but I'm quite confident the Falcons are well above other african teams when the chips are down.
We have a strong midfield and attack. Our defence might be the weakest link, but they are working hard.

Faith Ikidi playing well as her team Pitea currently lead Linkoping by 4-2. Pitea currently lead the Swedish league.
It looks to me that she's playing as a centre back for her club. Maybe that position is better for her due to her age.
PoliticsRe: Governorship Elections Under President Buhari So Far by olapluto(m): 10:20am On Sep 28, 2018
APC did not rig Osun elections, neither did they rig Ekiti elections or Ondo elections. What happened is even worse. See and buy is taking over and this will only favour the incumbent.

Ideally, Adeleke would have come 3rd in Osun elections behind APC and SDP. The fact that he was polling so high even in Ilesha tells me the man spent A LOT! Unfortunately, we in his senatorial district will pay for it as he tries to recoup the money.
PoliticsRe: Omisore, Omoworare May Determine Winner Of Osun Rerun Election by olapluto(m): 3:03pm On Sep 24, 2018
The only trend and influence in these Osun elections is money. Most comfy zones were dismantled. My won local govt used to be highly pro PDP, but APC won it marginally. The 'see and buy' was the reason Adeleke polled so much. He 'basterdized' money, according to some agents.

I wont be surprised if each voter got as much as 10k to vote in this rerun. Poverty has battered some Nigerians to submission.
PoliticsRe: Osun 2018 Governorship Election Results From Polling Units & Wards (unofficial) by olapluto(m): 12:46am On Sep 23, 2018
Ilesa East, Ilesa west and Osogbo will decide the election. APC surprisingly have gained quite a lot in Ife. Adeleke true to form with Ede results.

If I had any part to play in it, we will never negotiate with these terrorists. I wouldn't care what experts in the West advice, Ethiopia and Rewanda can rehabilitate all the Oromo fighters and Hutu murderers they want, such would never be accepted by my team as examples of the value of reconciliation, I would be advising we pursue and jig the dance of death with Bokohram all the way to hell if this is what it takes to crush them to nothing.
I was at a dinner last year and a lady (not Nigerian) brought up the issue of BHT hostages. We discussed at length (about 6 at the table, 4 Europeans and 2 Africans), and we concluded that it was never going to end well negotiating with BHT. Terrorists that kill women, non combatant men, school children, etc should never be negotiated with. I said then that most hostages are killed.
I felt a very cold chill in my spine when I heard this news yesterday. It seems there are people outside that influence the negotiations to give the BHT upper hands in the negotiations. BBOG will pressurize the govt to negotiate irrespective of the conditions. Salkida will do his own too, and BHT will get all they want. Its a shame.

Elections is not only by grammar bt the confidence the people have in you. Did Buhari debate anything? It’s not the only determining factor here
I'm not talking about debate. In fact, the debate was inconsequential. I talk in terms of whats on the ground in Osun right now. Adeleke is seen by many (and a lot of PDP guys) as a cash cow that is there to be milked. I know of people who take money from Adeleke but are working for Omisore.
Osogbo, Iwo and Ilesha axis are on lockdown for APC. That should be enough to win the elections. Ife votes are going to be between Omisore and APC. Even Ede will not vote en masse for Adeleke.
CelebritiesRe: Davido Lies Down Flat For Ademola Adeleke, Shares Fun Photos Together by olapluto(m): 9:07am On Sep 17, 2018
Adeleke will come 3rd in the elections. APC first, Omisore 2nd and Adeleke a distant 3rd. This election is probably the easiest to call of all state elections.

When is d draw for the awcon group stage self ?

Or has it been made already?
No the draws have not been made. Ghana's hosting has been shaking and I think CAF was panicking a bit since the Accra stadium and other one werent ready. I think Ghana will just make it, as the logistics for hosting 8 teams isnt that much. Kenya is on standby, but it is somehow too close to change hosts now.

Daejoyoung:
She's good but then age might be a good factor to consider in terms of her speed. Club football in the female world is different from that of the male, it is not as developed as that of national teams like we have in the male game. For example the top Swedish clubs cannot be compared to the Swedish team. But we all know Barcelona and Real Madrid have almost thesame standard ( or even greater) as Spain in the male game.
We have more than enough players to replace Rita Chikwelu and other aging players. We have been producing good players since 2012 U20 world cup. Women football is now fast paced, and we cant afford to be slow. We saw how France dismantled us in that friendly with their B team.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 4:52pm On Aug 18, 2018
Schemerkhiz:
you are wrong to doubt Rita Chikwelu qualities with the ball. Naturally Rita Chikwelu is an attacking minded player but due to her versatility and experience she is able to play as a holding midfielder. Go and check her club ( Kristianstand DFF, SWEDEN ) line up, she is their main threat in the attacking midfield, she sometimes play as a striker from the right wing.
Thats not entirely correct. She plays more as a central midfielder (Xhaka type), than an attacking midfielder. Also, I think the Swedish league is deteriorating. I watch the games weekly when chanced, and the quality is not it. For now, the German and French leagues are top.
If we are to develop female football, we need to invest more in our league. Facilities are quite poor, with most teams playing on artificial turf. Also, we need to have an African Champions league for women.

If Africa is slow, then Nigeria needs to enter competitions and friendlies like the She-believe cup. We are going backwards with the current NFF. The team that won women AFCON 2 years ago had to riot to get some of their money. Mr Amaju Pinnick is a 419 and pretender. He is not interested in football development. During his reign, we have failed in U17, U20s and Olympics both men and women. He only fronts with the Super Eagles. Even the Super eagles won only one match at the world cup. Every other team is suffering badly.

Chris Danjuma should never supposed to coach the girls. Peter Dedevbo should have been made coach of Falconets, while I see no reason to employ Dennerby for the Falcons. Dennerby will marginally improve the team organisation, and that will be it. Swedes are generally laid back people. You should not expect Nigeria to match up against any European teams with Dennerby in charge.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 11:16pm On Aug 16, 2018
Even the coach of the Falcons is not it. He may bring some organisation to the team, but going forward, we will be crap.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 4:55pm On Aug 16, 2018
A brilliant game by the girls, despite the loss. It was inevitable from the whole set up. Even if they equalized, the ref would have found a way back for Spain.
The future is bright with these girls. Female football with FIFA is still like a cult though. I can predict the winner of each match. Europeans more favoured, then Asians, then America, and then maybe blacks.
It got so bad today, some of the crowd were booing the obvious wrong calls the referee made.

BascoVanVeli:
Okeke and Efih clearly got the ball but she gave yellow. These girls had no chance anyways when you add that we have a slowpoke in charge.
My guess is that we will get a red card, and maybe 6 more yellows before the game runs out. The foul blown for that free kick was pathetic.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 3:49pm On Aug 16, 2018
This ref is not even hiding her bias again. She has been horrible. Is that 4 yellow cards for Nigeria now? She's on a no touch policy today.

That way, Ajibade too wont shine because she will be overworked.

The girls matched spain for few minutes. We may recover, if Spain dont score more.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 2:22pm On Aug 16, 2018
Again, the coach drops Anam Imo. He will reset his brain at minute 44 again. As Fifa want to completely screw our girls up, the referee is from... China. She must be impressed with the Falconets after that late equaliser.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 12:09pm On Aug 16, 2018
BascoVanVeli:
I doubt the coach will place Amoo #11 on the bench, she has played every single minute so far. I think Anam was amazing as striker against Germany and that would be best for the team. Ajibade should play behind her so she can drop deep and create just like she did against Spain 2 years ago. Look at her pass for the second goal.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lm4AD4ZS14
The Spanish team has improved tremendously. They play the typical Spanish game, with no striker. 4 defenders and 6 so called midfielders. Their game is simple to read. They will flood the midfield to sap out options. Their problem is always when teams go behind that midfield. They become exposed to be clueless at the back.
For me, today we need to play long balls. Anam Imo is very good with her hold up play. Dropping the ball for Ajibade in vital areas is all we need. We should be able to punish the Spanish.
