Yes he did but according to the chat with some of the Bayelsa Queens players..... We went to play League game in our club side ooo something happen and side we should not come back, we the Bayelsa team players
We beg the man, hmmmmm for where na so we see am oooo
We when back there because our things are still there, we went to met them and he said, we just arrived the camp we went back to play a league game and they where told if we come back on Sunday we will be travelling again on Tuesday to play another game, l told them no, no game midweek and they all said they have already conclude that we shouldn't not return that no time again for us to train well for him to see, that they want to focus on those on grand, my dear we beg beg beg that we are not travelly again for game, they said noooooo
I think it is against team spirit to leave camp for league games. Its better to play your game finish and then come to camp. I agree with the coach on this. If its me, I'll do the same, especially as there is big competition for place in the final 23.

Faith Ikidi joins camp, as well as 8 other foreign based pros. Basically, almost all Swedish based girls are in. Remain the Chinese babes and Yankee ones with some other Europe based players. Picture source: NFF twitter page.

So where did 'APC' lie? A nairalander used a picture of Buhari in Jigawa, and this ebinna jumped on it.
It is more likely that Wendell Simlin (Reno Omokri) was the person who put the initial NL story here. He is fooling himself if he thinks such fickle criticism will stick on APC. C'mon man! criticize well with facts.

The referees in Sweden unanimously voted Faith Ikidi Micheal as the best player this year. They said:
"During the season, Faith Ikidi has shown a positive leadership on the plan as well as showing respect to officials and opponents, regardless of the results! Through her winning skull, fighting spirit and skill in the back line, she has greatly contributed to the team's successful season"

Nigerian brand of democracy is self destructive. We like to abuse our institutions but also expect the institutions to perform. The Nigerian army is being provoked, attacked, and ridiculed by people. Yet, they expect same army to somehow be world class.
I watched the video of the other day and I was afraid for our institutions. When people could be so bold to initiate lynching of army personnel unprovoked, all in the name of making a point. Heck, some were even encouraging them to quickly lynch the army before reinforcement come. The army reacted as it should and viola! ebinpanu activists rose up.
Tear gas, rubber bullets, even water canons were some ridiculous suggestions from these brainless eejits. We kill the symbols of our democracy and then use the same democracy for cover. Look at Deji Adeyanju for example. He is freely dishing out fake news online, freely demonstrating and expressing himself without intimidation. The day he crosses the red line, he will fall back to invoke the democracy he's abusing.

I will always go for Oparanozie ahead of her, She faces tougher and Physical opposition than Uchechi in terms of League.
Ebere Orji is still among the invited strikers, she would be a valuable option upfront too... having scored 10goals this season for her Swedish club Mallbacken IF
I think Ebere Orji's club is not a top division club here in Sweden. She's going to need Dennerby's influence to get a better club. I hope the coach helps her.
Personally, I will choose Oparanozie 100 times before I choose Uchechi 5 times. I am just happy the quality of players invited. Courtney Dike with her bullish style is going to battle it out with Ihezuo.
Also very impressed by the awards Faith (Ikidi) Micheal is getting. Left to me, she will captain that team. I always like a defensive captain.

A whole Alaba Jonathan dropped like that, poof. Well let us see how this pans out. I guess this means Nnadozie is the undisputed number 1.
The coach is typical European. He's going for agility and speed. I can bet Nnadozie will be 1st choice. More likely uchechi Sunday will start as our 9 ahead of oparanozie. His final 23 will be speedy players.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m):
Team now trimmed down to 34. 19 foreign, 15 home based.
Notable names dropped: Alaba Jonathan, Joy Jegede, Maureen Okpala, Mariam Ibrahim, Juliet Lorliam,Joy Duru, Ucheibe (injured) and Basirah Amoo.

The team is taking shape. It looks like the coach is focussing on SPEED! He dropped the somewhat lethargic players.
Osas Igbinovia is in camp already.
SportsRe: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 5:56pm On Oct 29, 2018
Alaba Jonathan dropped? 4 goalies left in camp.
Super Falcons’ Head Coach, Thomas Dennerby has cut the number of home –based professionals in camp for the 11th Women Africa Cup of Nations finals holding in Ghana. The team has been training at the impressive Jubilee Chalets & Resort Epe, Lagos.

The Swede, who graciously allowed the players to feature for their respective clubs in the Nigeria Women's Football League (NWFL) at the weekend recalled a handful of those he feels can give the invited overseas-based professional players good fight for places in the final squad as Nigeria aim to retain her continental title and claim the trophy for the ninth time in 11 championships.

Among those retained in camp for the second phase camping which will commence immediately are four goalkeepers- Toochukwu Oluehi, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Christy Ohiaeriaku and Onyinyechukwu Okeke.

Others are Anam Imo, Rasheedat Ajibade, Peace Efih, Glory Ogbonna, Chioma Wogu, Alice Ogebe, Amarachi Okoronkwo and Chidinma Okeke. Also retained are Ugochi Emenayo, Sarah Nnodim and Nneka Julius.

Nasarawa Amazons defender, Christy Ucheibe was sent home from the camp on account of copping a long –term kneel injury.

Our star attacker is a league winner
Our star defender is a league winner.

Both players played more than 70% of their team's matches. The coaches dont have a problem. In fact, we are much better than 2 years ago in Cameroon.
Which 3 keepers will make the final team? I think Alaba, Nnadozie and Oluehi.

Nigeria Coach Explains How He Picked Provisional Roster, Why AWCON-Winning Captain Was Dropped
Published: October 18, 2018
Nigeria women's national football team coach, Thomas Dennerby has explained why Rivers Angels star Evelyn Nwabuoku has been left out of the 48-woman provisional roster announced on Wednesday ahead of the 2018 Africa Women Cup of Nations.
29 home-based players and 19 foreign-based professionals have been called up, as the team seek a record extending eleventh African title.
While the likes of Asisat Oshoala, Desire Oparanozie, Ngozi Okobi and Francisca Ordega made the cut, 2014 AWCON-Winning captain Nwabuoku was omitted and Dennerby admitted that it was a tough decision.
''She (Nwabuoku) was in the camp before we played Gambia in the qualification game, she is a really good player with good touches on the ball. She had a little bit lack of fitness.
''It's a tough situation, finally we had to pick the squad with the best players to follow the roster we kept for the team.''
Responding to a question on how he selected the 48 players, the Super Falcons manager said that he wanted the team to be built around speedy players in attack and defense.
''First of all, you have to be in good form as usual, you have to have players with good performances.
''The assistant coaches and I looked for players who know how to play attacking and defensive football.
''We like to play quick football, we are trying to find quick and good players so we know we have a speedy team,'' Dennerby added.
The 2018 Africa Women Africa Cup of Nations will be staged in the Ghanaian cities of Accra and Cape Coast, 17th November – 1st December 2018.
I like that this coach wants to have a speedy team. Apart from the central defenders, the team can ooze speed. South Africans are trying this quick football, but they are knuckleheads who have very little football brains. They can dribble in front of an open net.

My Zambian ex gave me such a good impression of Zambia that I will probably love that country for life. She was brilliant, energetic and very thoughtful. If they have half the grit we have, they will go places. The Southern African complacency is the only thing holding them back.

All these old men disgracing Africa up and down. What good can these 2 spent and washed up people bring to Uganda? Same way we idiotically line school children on the streets to welcome people from the west, while their own children's schools cannot be disturbed.

This photo op will do more damage to Uganda than any good it may bring. We need to stop feeding the savior narrative.

Apt Sir Ola, I wanted to reply exactly your first paragraph but I remembered the moniker you replied is a skewed commentator here.

The government has a lot to do in response to the atrocities BH commit. Is there not a list of the top BH leaders we've apprehended? Sentence a few to death after any atrocity is committed, prepare choice target to be raided, harassed and decimated etc etc.

This administration has had a track record of bad PR/Dirty Propaganda hence people barely give a damn what they say.
My brother a lot is wrong with how we are handling these BHTs. I read a document this morning re: infightings inside BHT camps. Surely, Nigerian government is privy to steady Intel on regular basis. They can do a lot more! But the fact that people are 'making it' from this terrorism, means uinfortunately, it will not end soon. BHTs know this and are acting on it.
We are in a pretentious democracy, where we pretend to be democratic by tearing down democratic institutions. If I was in charge, BHT propagandas will never make it out of their enclave in Sambisa.

THE BASTARDS EXECUTED THIS GIRL FOR HER CHRISTIAN FAITH. WHY IS THIS NOT INNTHE NEWS? There are times I honestly believe this nation is cursed. Its really hard to stay patriotic sometimes. The government don't seem to care. Nigeria has to be one of the easiest place to die. The death of Liman should put the nation in mourning. The flag should be flown at half mast and Lima should be considered a National Hero. Nobody gives a Bleep !! I prayed for her last night. The government is more focused on election campaign. I cannot imagine the magnitude of grief that her family will be going through.

Rest in peace Lima.
You are right to be outraged, but no she was not a Christian. In fact, she was a Muslim, wears hijab and that was her crime. They sentenced her to death for apostasy. These BHTs 'khafara' any Muslims that do not buy their ideology.
The Christian girls with them are alive, and I believe they will keep them alive.

Again, I agree the government has a lot to do, and I am particularly angered by the official response to captured BHT commanders. Why do we keep them so as to release when bargaining is ripe? After yesterday, I dont think its right for the government to negotiate with BHTs anymore.

Evelyn Nwabuoku is still the Best for that position due to her experience and current form.. I hope Thomas Dennerby and his coaching crew get to Use her..
Osarenoma Igbinovia is getting married on the 21st of October, I hope Honeymoon doesn't affect her form oh.. because the Awcon is very close.. even though she won't get a starting role, she is a perfect replacement for any player in the midfield.
If she's marrying on 21st, I would say she should be excused from the tournament. If she however wants to go, then she's got a week honeymoon before camp opens.
