However, as this talk was ongoing in the lounge, another was brewing in the room as Dorathy, Erica and Laycon who later pulled out of the discussion rubbed minds.

Dorathy Bachor, one of the female housemates on the current Big Brother Naija Reality TV Series, announced that her father had warned her not to return home after the BBNaija reality television show had concluded.

Erelu Bisi Fayemi, wife of Ekiti Governor, has refuted claims that she on Tuesday instructed security officers attached to her to shoot at protesting students of the Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE).

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) had alleged Mrs. Fayemi told policemen to shoot the students protesting, this act which lead to the death of at least one of them.

But she stood her her ground that she issued no such order, noting she didn’t come across the protesting students while she was in Oye-Ekiti for an empowerment programme.

She claimed that being a human rights crusader and mother, she couldn’t have objected to civil protest.

According to Mrs. Fayemi, she had attended to a group protesting female sweepers in Ado-Ekiti on the same Tuesday to reinforce her belief in civil protest.

In a statement she personally signed on Wednesday, she alleged that the students, probably infiltrated by local hoodlums used that medium and vandalised her convoy as well as vehicles of her guests during the empowerment programme.

According to her: “ Yesterday, September 10th 2019, there was a crisis at Oye town in Oye Local Government, Ekiti State while I was on an empowerment and advocacy tour to engage with women across the State. The tour commenced on Monday September 9th, with visits to two local governments which were hugely successful and peaceful.

“On September 10th, we were billed to visit three local governments – Moba, Ilejemeje and Oye. The first two stops were just like the ones before – peaceful with no incident.

“While we were at Ilejemeje, we received a call from our advance security team that students of the Federal University of Oye (FUOYE) were protesting a lack of electricity in Oye town. We were told that more information would be provided on the situation. Shortly after we received word that the students had dispersed and the coast was clear for my visit.

“When my convoy got to the Oye-Isan junction, we were met by a convoy of excited Okada riders who led us into Oye town. We made a stop at the primary healthcare center along the road for me to present delivery kits to pregnant women.

“There was no sign of any trouble. We proceeded to the venue of my town hall meeting at the civic center with women in Oye Local Government.

“The atmosphere was very peaceful, the women were singing and dancing and there was nothing to indicate that anything was amiss. I stopped at the tent erected for the mobile health clinic in front of the civic center to greet the elderly patients who were being attended to, and I also went to greet the beneficiaries of the Food Bank for the elderly project (Ounje Arugbo), who were assembled under another tent. I then proceeded into the hall for the program.

“Half-way through our event, there was a disturbance outside. The FUOYE students (and possibly infiltrated by local thugs) had re-grouped and were trying to get into the venue.

“The security officers prevented this from happening. We finished our program, and by the time we got outside, we found that vehicles from my convoy and those of my guests that were parked outside the venue had been vandalised.

“As we were driving out of Oye town, we encountered at least two road blocks that the students had mounted to prevent the movement of vehicles. I could see students/thugs throwing stones and large sticks at us as we drove by.

“However, the casualties that were recorded did not take place while I was there. There are eye-witnesses, photographs and video footage to confirm this.”

She added: “There are reports circulating that the crisis occurred because I refused to address the protesting students. This is totally false.

“I did not encounter any group of students when I got to Oye town. They had dispersed before my arrival, and when they regrouped I was inside the venue.

“It is possible, as I stated earlier, that the group that came to the venue trying to gain access with sticks and stones in hand might have included local hoodlums, but there was no way of telling the difference.

“I am scandalized and shocked beyond words to hear that I instructed security officers to shoot at students.

“Yesterday morning, as I was driving past my office in Ado-Ekiti, a group of women were gathered there to protest.

“They are members of a Female Sweepers Association, who were protesting a cut in their monthly salary by the previous administration. They wanted me to help them.

“They were very polite and pleasant. I listened to them and promised to pass on their message to the appropriate authorities.

“These two protests happened on the same day. If I had met a group of protesting students, as a social justice activist myself, I would have listened to their complaints and addressed them. I firmly believe in citizens’ rights to protest on issues of concern.

“I am deeply saddened that at least one fatality has been recorded. As a mother my heart bleeds.

“All these students are my children, and no mother prays to weep over their offspring.

“I extend my sincere condolences to the family concerned, and I wish those who are still receiving treatment a speedy recovery.

“The Obirinkete Tour has been suspended pending a review of what transpired yesterday. I thank friends and all members of the public who have expressed concern over this. God bless you all.

The Nigeria Police Force will arraign Senator Elisha Abbo (PDP-Adamawa North) this week for assault after a nursing mother fell victim at a intimacy gadget shop.

Recall that Kemi Filani News reported that Abbo, Nigeria’s youngest Senator, was caught on Closed-circuit television, CCTV, beating up a woman following a brief argument.

The viral video went on to generate outrage among Nigerians forcing activists to march down to the Force Headquarters, National Assembly to demand Abbo’s prosecution for assault.

However, Senator Abbo later apologized for his misconduct and promised not to behave in such a manner again.

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command interrogated the lawmaker on Thursday and subsequently detained him for 24 hours.

The senator was on Friday released on bail and was directed to return for further questioning this week.

According to The Punch, the Police had planned to arraign Abbo on Friday but shelved the move due to the inability of the investigators to obtain the original footage of the assault from the Closed Circuit Television camera which captured the incident.

A police source said: “Our preliminary investigation has indicted the senator and the plan was to arraign him on Friday for assault but the detectives were not able to obtain the original video from the CCTV which we needed to vet to ensure that it had not been manipulated. So, the arraignment would hold this week.”

He added, “We don’t want to sacrifice diligent investigation on the altar of speed. Rather, we want to strike a balance between the need to charge him to court timeously and the need to do the right thing.

“When you are investigating a case involving a high calibre person, you have to be sure you have a watertight case, because the accused would hire the best lawyers who could exploit every technicality and loophole to get their client off the hook.”

The Nollywood Yoruba genre is heated up right now as two top actresses, Kemi Afolabi and Wunmi Toriola have accused producer, Laide Olabanji of molesting and almost raping them.

Just as the social media went wild after Timi Dakolo’s wife, Busola spilt her rape experience 19 years ago with COZA Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, two actresses, Kemi Afolabi and Wumi Toriola also swiftly called out a producer Laide Olabanji.

But the point is Kemi and Wunmi might not have taken to social media to say all they said if the producer, Olabanji had not put up a video trying to mock Pastor Fatoyinbo.

Wumi took to his comment section immediately and told him to pull down the video because he almost pulled the same stunt with her when she was a newbie in the movie industry. Kemi Afolabi, a renowned Nollywood actress, also did something similar by calling him out, Laide Olabanji. Kemi accused him of molesting and was near to raping her when she was also a newbie in the Nigerian movie industry.

However, Laide Olabanji reacted to Kemi accusations in a video he shared on his Instagram page, he claimed he has not seen Kemi in the past 17 years so he tagged her allegation baseless. Then he said, the actress is a dead dog who has slept with many men and for that, she has no reason to accuse him of molestation. The director also called out actress Wumi Toriola for allegedly abandoning her mother and leaving her to suffer but guess what the actresses did not cave in at this.

They insisted he molested them.

Kemi Afolabi after releasing videos and a narration on her entrance into the industry and what transpired between her and the producer, came up again with this poser, “Mr Laide Olabanji, Your weak and non existing defence will not sway me from the truth. The simple question is, did you try to forcefully sleep with me or not?God bless you as you answer this simple question”

Wumi Toriola also wrote , “So this Rapist has the gut to do this video,everyone who knew me well knew my background,i lost my mum when i was eight years,i came to the industry LOADED,when i mean LOADED,i was not broke,from a comfortable home,deny the allegations rather than looking for what to cover with …i Put it TO YOU OLAIDE OLABANJI LAIBAN that you are a serial Rapist #endrape# (sic)

Then, Olaide Olabanji tried to explain what transpired between him and Kemi.

He wrote, “It all happened in 2003 when I wanted to shoot one of my movie “SHEBI EEYAN NI”. I met Kemi Afolabi in Ebute metta where she stay with her grandmother whereas I met another lady who is also a star actress today same year ( I don’t want to mention name here) they are three leading character in the movie which the Major I gave to Kemi. A day to the location, I was in the hotel room with Kemi where I was fine-tunning her role for her. Kemi acted funny when I wanted to touch her in describing the scene, then I left her and we sleep in the same room over night. The following morning, kemi ask for transport fare that she wanted to go and pick more clothes at home as she never knew the role is that much which I gave her. Since then I have never set my eyes on her. To the glory of God, the other lady take up the role and that take her to a greater heights. Thanks for understanding

Spanish giants, Real Madrid are ready to offload their £85m-rated midfielder, Asensio in a swap deal to get Liverpool‘s Sadio Mane.

Sadio Mane who scored 22 goals in the Premier League last season plus winning the UEFA Champions League has caught Real Madrid eyes and it is understood that Zidane is interested in him.

Meanwhile, Real have listed Asensio, Gareth Bale, Keylor Navas and a few others among players who could be shown the exit door if they receive offers that are reasonable.

The Mirror quoting the Express report noted the Galacticos would consider selling Asensio if only the Reds will allow Sadio Mane go the other way.

It is however certain that Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp might not consider the move as it will break his side’s attacking chemistry.
